The menu and tastes leaned more towards traditional Indian flavors with a new take on presentation which was different than what I've had at other fusion restaurants. While the flavors were good, I think there is room to push the boldness a little more. If comparing to other places in Chicago, I think they are around par. The space is small but beautifully decorated, and the service was stand out. Our waiter was able to accommodate a dietary restriction on a dessert and the kitchen created something delicious on the spot. We had to track our server down several times for chai refills and even takeout containers at the end of our meal. Tables around us that had come after us received noticeably quicker service. Some of the sweet pastries included with their service were decent, though too many relied on overly creamy flavors. The savory items really should have been served hot instead of lukewarm (hot chai and samosas are staple in South Asia). Overall, I think there are better high tea options in the city.
