1) Half Duck Salad with free porridge 2) Half Chicken Salad with free porridge Both meat quality and taste were good as usual. We added gizzards in the porridge, and they were perfectly soft (淋). The free porridge is a nice touch, , but we are more used to having noodles. I hope the restaurant gives customers a choice between noodles or porridge in the future.
So good! Only place I know in the area that makes duck this delicious. Also their ginger sauce is unmatched. They also have really soft duck blood cubes but they didn't have any today. Not sure if it's off the menu or just out for the day but if they have it, get it. So much better and cleaner in taste compared to pork blood.
I've been trying to find a good duck place and I finally found it. Their duck pho is amazing and their salad is great as well. With the salad I like getting the congee, just a nice way to have duck, either the pho on a cold day or the salad on a hot summer day. One heads up, they do not take cash, so just be warned.
Get the duck salad! There is a special: half duck salad (which is huge) with dipping sauces and a large bowl of congee that can fill up two people with leftovers for only $25! The duck is really meaty and delicious. We are also curious about the duck curry vermicelli and will be back to try this.
This place is good but not the best. I think it's probably because of the sauce and the salad. I got the glass noodle with duck salad. The salad had none of the fancy Vietnamese herbs that I would've expected. There's a place in Orange County that does the bun vit better and would probably go there over this place. But you don't really have a lot of options for this type of dish. I came on a Saturday around 12 and there were quite a few people already there. Service is okay - we didn't get our waters until we asked again. And it was hard to get the server's attention. Overall, not terrible but unsure if I would come back again.
Small Vietnamese restaurant on Valley that specializes in duck! Very good, fresh quality. Pros: -fast takeout service -lunch and dinner specials -variety of noodle, rice and other options to pair with duck -can order gizzards and blood cake Cons: -cannot alter sweet level for drinks
It's pretty rare to find a place that serves duck of this quality. I was specifically craving duck, and this spot delivers some of the best I've had in the area. What really stood out was how plump and juicy the duck was. It's prepared simply--blanched in a way that highlights the clean, natural flavor of the duck, which then beautifully permeates the broth. The cabbage salad is classic Vietnamese fare: fresh, crisp, and well balanced. And bonus points for serving fresh pennywort drink--I always appreciate places that offer it.
Very good food, very tasty and filling. Super cool chicken special that's sure to fill us up. Good service and ambiance too
One of the few places in the 626 area that serves duck pho, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the half duck, and it even came with a complimentary bowl of porridge, which was a great bonus. The duck was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the sweet and sour dipping sauce paired with it was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the fresh salad that comes with the meal, it balanced everything out nicely. The service was amazing from start to finish, and the price-to-value ratio is hard to beat. Great food, generous portions, and excellent hospitality. If you're a fan of duck or looking for something different from the usual pho spot, this place is a must-try!
At Pho Vit 115, duck is their specialty. Quarter Duck Thigh Salad: There's a bed of shredded cabbage, toasted peanuts, cilantro, and a sweet lime vinaigrette. The generously carved duck seems more like half a duck than a quarter. Each piece is juicy and tender. The tangy vinaigrette is the ultimate sauce for the duck. Dining Area: This spot has about half a dozen booths and half a dozen tables in the middle. Parking: The mini plaza has a fair amount of spots and isn't too busy.
TL;DR - yummy and unique duck on a crispy sweet salad. The broth is really good. Lots of little duck bones are in the meat though so take your time. The duck salad was really unique compared to a lot of the food i usually eat in the 626 area. It wasn't too greasy or salty or anything. Overall it was more lean, flavorful, and especially savory with the dip that comes with the meal. Of note, I really liked the salad that the duck sits on. It's very crunchy, sweet, and has peanuts on it. We also got the duck with glass noodle soup. Its not mentioned on the menu but its a duck salad with a separate medium sized bowl of glass noodles in a classic vietnamese broth (i LOVE this broth but don't know exactly what it is lol ..) The only downside is the number of small duck bones that are still in the duck. You gotta eat it carefully because you'll be constantly spitting out those little pieces throughout your meal. It's just good they cut it up. It's not because they didn't realize it was in there. Overall we had a good time here
MUST TRY! Super delicious homemade duck soup and tender duck meat! Service is excellent! Environment is clean and neat. We will come back for more.
We got the duck porridge special and it did not disappoint! They have a special running right now where you can get half a duck salad and one plain porridge for free. This was enough to fill us up, but of course we decided to add a clear glass noodle soup which made us incredibly full.. Everything was great.
Tonight was spontaneous-- my father decided to take us here since he was unable to find the restaurant last time The inside of the restaurant looks nice and new. The servers are so genuine, and humble. They provided good quality of services, and I appreciated the accommodation. My father and I shared the duck promotion which includes the duck salad with a side of pho or porridge. We got one of each for the sides since my father was craving porridge and I was open to getting a warm pho of soup, with their orange sauce for for like Hainan. Additionally, my partner got the rice with pork belly and it came with a unique dipping sauce. I believe it was a peanut satay sauce. Everyone enjoyed it. I think its a lovely place; we will be back soon! read more

I came on a Thursday around 1ish to grab lunch togo. It was fairly empty as the business is new. The person who was in charge was on the phone arguing with his contractor of some sort and was a bit rude. I was greeted with a wait finger and was not offered any menu. I stood around looking confused for about 5 mins and then I finally had enough and decided to just walk up and pointed to him what I wanted. When it came to ordering what I ordered was #1 and #5 for me and my fiancé but the guy then intervened and said order #1 & #7. I was over it at this point and said sure. The broth is good but my duck was a bit anorexic. Not sure if I'll return. Maybe if when they are fully staffed. read more
I was scrolling through yelp the other day and saw this new spot in the hot and new section. It stood out to me because I've never had duck pho before. I decided to give it a try I had plans in the area, so I placed a pick up order. The store was in a small plaza on valley in El monte - when I arrived around 4pm it wasn't too busy. There was a lady in front who helped me out - very quick and friendly. So, looking at the menu you can order soup noodles or duck salads. Not knowing what to do I decided to order a half duck salad (for two) and a bowl of the vermicelli noodles (soup only) So, lets start off with the Duck Salad -I got half duck the portion is for two people. First, I'll say they do give a nice portion, the two of ate it and couldn't finish it had a little left over. The duck was steamed I believed so it was very tender, it sat upon a bet of lettuce and herbs. It came with two sauces one for the duck and one for the salad. The sauces were sweet and gingery... probably to a bit too sweet for my liking. I also ordered a plain bowl of vermicelli noodles that came with the duck broth - this was pretty good the broth had a nice deep flavor - I would get this again. This was something different it kind of reminded me of eating chicken pho but with duck. It was good and definitely worth a try. Next time I'd come back to try their other dishes like the chicken curry or bahn xeos. read more

Service is quick. Small restaurant so seating is limited. We came here for lunch and we ordered the duck noodles and side salad and duck curry. The curry is coconut base curry however the duck in the curry was just bones not actual duck meat. read more

Everything we ordered was great--big portions and great value for the price. Highly recommend! read more
A huge fan of the duck salad (quarter thigh) and the porridge combo (small size - $5.99). The portion of the porridge was huge. A nice, light meal that I really enjoyed! There was a promo when we dined in and we were given the option of a free lemon iced tea or milk tea. Service was great. Will definitely be back! read more
I'm a fan of duck and porridge so when I heard about this place, I'm there! We got the duck combo salad with porridge, vermicelli and pho and it all comes out so good. We also got the chicken curry and it was good also. I was so happy that the duck doesn't come out smelly (duck smell). I still see some duck hair here and there. If they can get rid of the hair that would be even better but I still give them a 5 stars because the server was extremely nice and very helpful with menu in explaining and recommendation. Will definitely come back for more! read more

I ordered the yellow curry chicken with vermicelli to go. The host/waiter did not know the menu by item number. He did offer me water but I noticed a sign that offered any drink free with Yelp check in/review. I checked in but the employee refused to honor the offer without a full and proper review. Obviously this was not possible before I had even tried the food. It came out bagged in 2 separate containers which I took home. Container 1 was a full cylinder of curry, chicken, carrots, and potatoes. Container 2 was a Styrofoam box with cold vermicelli, bean sprouts, radish, ground spices, green onion, and lemon wedge. I combined it all in a big bowl, but with so many cold items the end result is pretty lukewarm. Guess it's on me to reheat it if I want it that way. The chicken was dark thigh meat with a good amount of little bone fragments. The carrots were soft and some pieces were sweet and slightly fermented in flavor. Potatoes were unremarkable. The curry itself was good, but a lot more citrus flavor from the lemon and spices then the Thai variant I'm more accustomed to. Over all I'd say it was still good, but after a negative interaction with staff I'd have to seriously consider returning when there are competitive alternatives nearby. read more

My favorite place at the moment for fresh chicken noodle pho. Very good special, half a chicken with salad and a bowl of pho or rice noodle or clear noodle with or without dry bamboo for $20.00. No one can beat that. The service was great and hot or cold tea or water is free. You could order an extra bowl of pho or rice noodle for an additional $6.99. I went by this place all the time but I didn't know they have chicken pho, because the restaurant sign mentioned duck only. The place is nice and cleaned. And they have Vietnamese ginger dipping sauce, that a wow for me. A lot of chicken pho place close by does not have ginger fish sauce. Minus one star for the pricy plain noodles add on. read more

I was just here for lunch today!! Food is amazing!! Their Duck Salad is a must have! It is prepared similar to the style of Hainan Chicken. The duck blood pudding is silky smooth, clean and fresh! Pho noodle soup has a very good base as well Better service quality compared to most restaurants of this type! read more
I've never had duck pho before. But I saw it on Facebook group and had to try. I kinda love how clean it is. There's not really duck within the photo, but it's a duck salad on the side. The duck is boiled, doused with ginger sauce, and sitting atop a cabbage salad. I love! The soup is very clean. It soothes. The service was 5 stars. They're nice and so accommodating. My bf was disappointed they didn't have beer but they did have passion fruit soda. And he was happy with that. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I'll def visit again. read more

First time and had great pho. As usual, duck had lots of bones but it was tasty and worth it. Bahn mi was great with tender pork belly. Having never had duck pho, I would recommend it for those uninitiated. It tastes pretty close to chicken but with more depth of flavor. Service was not the best which knocks it down to a 4 from 5. Waited 15 min for anyone to check on us after being seated. Could have been because it was a little busy. Good came out relatively quick. If you're used to Chinese food service, then it would meet those expectations. Restaurant had background music that wasn't overpowering from the conversation. read more

Pho Vit 115 is so delicious and unique to me since this is a specialty restaurant specializing in Vietnamese duck noodle soups, vermicelli, salad dishes. This place is a must if you're like me and LOVE duck. I wish there were more locations since I don't think we have something like this in the Bay Area. I got the special duck vermicelli soup (with bamboo shoot) and my husband got the duck pho vįt. They both come with a duck salad on the side. The broth is so flavorful and comforting. The duck was not fatty and the food tasted clean and healthy. I could eat this once a week if I lived closer!!! The service was very quick and the restaurant itself was very clean and modern. read more

Pho, love it! Duck, love it! Gave Pho Vit a try. Upon entering the restaurant, you can see the modern and clean interior. You don't go to a pho spot for the interior but it's nice to eat a place that does if the food is any good. Didn't know what to order other than getting duck something or the other. The waitress recommended the duck noodle soup. Said that everybody likes it. So I just went with the Reco. How was the food? The soup came out with the side duck salad. Everything looked good. Happy to see chopped chilis in the table. Had to start with adding them to my finger sauce. The noodle soup was light but tasty. The noodles were delicate and matched well with the broth. Everything in the soup worked together. I believe there were long stringy mushrooms and while chewy tasted great with the duck that i dunked into the broth. The duck salad was yummy. A lightly sweet fish sauce dressing. I love the ginger fish sauce and the chilis. I haven't eaten this soup before so I'm not a pro but I will say the duck, the salad and the soup all worked together. Some mentioned the portion size which I could've used more duck but wasn't mad that it was some pigmy duck. Service was friendly and attentive which is a plus at an Asian restaurant. If you're in the area and like duck and Vietnamese, give it try. read more

Introduction: I like eating duck therefore when I saw a Vietnamese establishment offering duck pho, I opted to give it a try. Food: Bun Mang Vit: The broth is clean, light, and flavorful and the vermicelli noodles complement it well. The duck is done well within the format of the Vietnamese culinary tradition; I am more accustomed to the texture and flavors of roast duck that's commonly found in Cantonese cuisine. However, the duck blood is good: it's smooth and very tender. Chao Vit: I like the duck porridge here: the texture is neither too thick nor watery. It's not easy finding a duck porridge in which the flavors of the duck can be evidently tasted with each spoonful; usually the flavors of duck porridges that's offered at other restaurants are too light. What I like most about this porridge is the fact there's traces of duck fat present in the porridge thereby making each spoonful taste fragrant and wholesome. Ambiance: Classy, clean, and tasteful. Service: The staff are polite and cordial. Price: Reasonable. read more
