Had lunch here today with my husband and brother in law. The Binh Mai was very good as well as the summer rolls and crab Rangoon. The restaurant was full. Many airmen from the Air Force base. Dover finally got a pho spot and the food here is good! I was excited when I noted this place had recently opened. I tired it to day and I'm glad I did. Since I moved to Dover I've been wanting pho but have been sad I couldn't find a pho restaurant. I ended up getting shrimp pho (not on the menu, had to request shrimp only) and shrimp spring roll. The spring rolls are okay. I thought they would be in a crispy flakey roll but they were not. They were good but I'm not a super fan since the way they are isn't my preference. The pho however is very tasty. The shrimp was fresh. The broth is delicious. I will definitely be coming back here! read more

The pho and the shrimp salad are excellent. I used to enjoy the shrimp rolls, but not any more, when they are suppose to have shrimp and other veggies and we ended up with lettuce, rice noodles and rice paper. When we asked the servers, both were really hesitant to pass the information to their management. If you are okay with giving your repeated customers food that you know doesn't pass the quality we deserve.....We will stop coming in. The service and atmosphere are great. One more advise.....Check your carry-out orders when you come pick them up or you'll may end up with the roll below. I'm from Maryland and was visiting the area over the Labor Day weekend and this restaurant was not far from my hotel, so I thought I would give it a try. Did I ever hit the jackpot! It's in a nondescript, easy-to-miss building along DuPont Highway, but this little humble establishment puts out the absolute best bowl of pho I've ever had -- honestly, it was spectacular. I ordered the "Pho Viet Special," which l guess is the restaurant's namesake (fittingly so). The key to a good pho is a good broth, and this one is was a total grand slam. It was intensely beefy and flavorful, with very delicious (large) pieces of tenderloin, brisket, meatballs, and tendons. And the bowl was very large - I was actually taken aback by its size when it was brought to my table. So, so good. I am going to be back in Delaware over the Columbus Day holiday, but will be quite a ways away south (Rehoboth Beach). Don't think I'm not coming up all that way for more of that amazing pho! No idea what anything else on the menu is like, but I bet they're also very good (well, I also had the Fresh Spring Roll with Peanut Sauce and their Thai Milk Tea and they were wonderful). i'm not usually a pho person but wow this place hooked me the broth by itself is great but i like to add some siracha and lime i really love it and have been back at least 5 more times since i first went. Service is quick but the servers seem to not know how to talk to people or interact well (usually a different young man every time i go) if they stay on i'm sure they'll pick up some skill read more

Very nice place and good customer service. I like the decor. And the server checks up on you often. The food is great too. Gotten the pho, fresh spring rolls, grilled pork with rice, and the pork banh mi. Just wish they gave you a little more meat (in any of the dishes). The pho bowls are huge. The peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls is soooo good. The banh mi bread is nice and fluffy. However, the filling to bread ratio was way off. I would've liked more meat and way more veggies! But still, I really like this place and would recommend. read more

Took my younger sister here and everything was delicious! Only downside is that the portion sizes for entrees are huge. The hoagie she got was half her size! (Shes 11). The pho that I ordered was soooo large. We both ate from it and then got a Togo box and it filled two pints! We will definitely have leftovers for ages! read more

The P4 Pho with flank steak and brisket was delicious! I like my soup spicy so I added some chili paste - phenomenal! The medium is more than enough especially if you get crispy spring rolls. You get four rolls per order but I couldn't eat more than two. I'll be back when I'm in town again. read more

This place has great pho! We ordered takeaway from here and all of the ingredients were nice and fresh and the broth was piping hot. The broth was perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a side of spring rolls and they were fantastic as well. Light, crispy shell and not overfilled on the inside. While I have nothing to compare this to (never had pho before), this was a really good lunch. I had the pho flank steak & brisket and thought it was delicious. I had the medium size and it left me completely full; well priced at $9. The staff was very friendly and service was fast. Great addition to my dining rotation. After trying Vietnamese food for the first time in Wilmington I needed to find a place closer to home. This restaurant is super clean and there's nothing like this in Dover. I love the pho and spring rolls. I have been there several times and the food is great. My one issue is the bathroom. I never find it particularly clean. The white walls are stained and dirty. For a new place I find that unacceptable. Please paint or scrub bathroom. read more

Since I was by myself they seated me at the bar which was very uncomfortable. Sodas are canned and $2 which is just ridiculous. The crab rangoon was fine, tasted like all the others I've tried. I love Banh Mi so I got the pork. The pork was great and the bread was amazing. The mayonnaise ruined it for me and the pickled veggies weren't that great and cut really tiny/thin. What a mess. We arrived around 5 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. There were quite a few empty tables, but they had not been bussed and were cluttered with the remains of what previous clients had not eaten. There seemed to be no staff there so we started to seat ourselves. As we were about to sit down, A waitress asked if there were just two of us. We replied yes and she indicated that we should sit at the table we were at. We sat there for about 15 minutes, and then a larger party arrived in the same waitress went over to see them and ask what they would like to drink. As she walked back by us we asked if we could get menus. She handed us the menu and before we could even look she said "are you ready to order?" it became very apparent that they were understaffed and did not know what they were doing. She came back about one minute later and asked if we were ready yet. We gave our order (we are both vegetarian) and and ordered two dishes with tofu. She told us they didn't have any tofu even though they had many dishes on the menu listed as being served with tofu as an option. We decided at that point to cut our losses and leave. I love Vietnamese food, so may try it again at another time, but our initial experience was that these people were in over their heads in running a restaurant. We drove a couple blocks down the street and had an amazing Thai meal. read more

So glad to have this place in town! We ordered pho and shrimp spring rolls. My husband had the beef pho with tenderloin and brisket. I had the chicken pho. My husband, who is particular, absolutely loved his soup. Said the broth/flavor was excellent. I also thought my pho was wonderful! Good pricing, nice-sized portions. Usually, my husband doesnt completely finish his pho and will leave a portion of his soup in the bowl...not today! He relished every last drop of his pho. A totally empty bowl! The spring roll was well-executed, fresh and looked beautiful, and the peanut sauce for dipping was delicious. Our compliments to the chef. We can't wait to go back, and I can't wait to try their Vietnamese salad and yellow curry....well, actually can't wait to try a lot of things! Love their menus. There are great pictures of the various dishes that help you see what the dishes are for those who are not familiar. I really like how the owners decorated the space. It's simple, colorful and cheerful. I sincerely hope the community-at-large supports this restaurant by dining there. I understand that there was a Vietnamese restaurant in Dover some time before we moved here, but it closed up. Don't know if it wasn't good or if there was a lack of support from the local community. In any event, thank you to the owners for taking a business risk and opening a Vietnamese restaurant in Dover! I WISH I could have given more starts‐ but the service was absolute trash. After being seated before everyone else who came in after us, I had to ask for water for the table, and the guy says "For everyone?" There were 4 adults and two kids, same as the table behind us who were not asked a thing (their water was just brought out)- strike 1. My husband ordered pho and was asked what size, he said large- no calamari. No one else at the table who ordered soup was asked what size YET they were all available (whatever, no big deal right). Soup comes out and not only does it have calamari, it's the same size as everyone else- strike 2. My grandfather ordered pineapple fried rice, and specifically asked twice what was in it because he WANTED the pineapple. His rice comes out- minus pineapple, he asked again and the server said it was in there. We took his word for it, oddly enough, my rice had pineapple in it, so I asked if the vegetable rice was supposed to have it included he said no, well there goes the mystery. I asked the server if another rice could be made with the pineapple since it wasn't made properly and I guess he had never heard of such a thing (you know- fixing an order they messed up) he said no, but they could bring the pineapple out- strike 3. REALLY? Ok, let's play the game, bring the pineapple. By then, my grandfather was over it, didn't even want them, who could blame him. We ask for the bill and finally get a brief apology about the mix up and 10% off of the bill. Which didn't cover the rice dish that was screwed up, just the large size bowl of soup we were STILL charged for. FYI- if you want to fix your mistakes, try harder next time and really be rooted in customer service. The charge for the food should have been adjusted BEFORE taking off 10%, not after. Although the food was good, I will never be back. Good food will never overpower poor customer service- good luck. read more
