I've been here many times and it's always been really good. The restaurant is spacious and service is quick and the food is always delicious, especially the pho. My favorite is the oxtail pho. We recently did takeout and I decided to try something different. We ordered the white fish, the pancake And the spring rolls with duck. It was really delicious, especially the fish. The pancake was a nice surprise and unique. It's a great neighborhood spot

The food and service is always superb. I love the fish tank and they seem to have an area for a DJ and or stage for performers. I accidentally ordered a Diet Coke but they gave me one without caffeine.

I came here on a summer day when it was particularly hot and humid. The restaurant smelled dank. I thought maybe the A/C or exhaust was broken. Then the waiters came out. Not sure if they still work there now but they did not smell good. They are of a certain ethnicity which is different from the cuisine. I feel really bad to say that it gives me poor hygiene vibes. I did place my order nonetheless, for takeout. I had to leave the place because it smelled like dirty laundry. I did comeback to pick up the order. This maybe gross but I still ate the food and was still delicious. I'd be wary to go back again. The lady owner (I suspect) was very friendly. I wish the place cleanliness would be better.

lovely food, even lovelier people -- the staff were SO kind!! the pho was reasonably priced, especially for the substantial serving size, and perfecttt for a cold winter day. can literally never go wrong. complimentary green tea and all the right sauces!! spot is accessible af (not too far from the train or free parking) and cozy.

I came here on a Wednesday evening with my partner. I was in the mood for some bun bo hue because of how cold it has been in Chicago. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring roll as an appetizer to start us off because I was really hungry. The sauce that came with the spring roll was a little weird to us so we ended up using hot sauce that was on the table. The Bun Bo hue was really good. I wish they had the pork knuckle or pork blood in there but other than that, I don't really have any complaints. The soup was really good and then there was a good kick of spiciness in every slurp. I was really satisfied by the end of the meal. My partner just had the regular pho with flank steak, but in a large size. He was super satisfied, so that was a good sign. The restaurant is really big but I guess when we went at 8pm they had closed off half of it since there weren't a ton of customers. The owner was really nice and our orders were taken pretty quickly. I will definitely keep this place in mind whenever I'm in the area because the noodle soup that night really slapped.

This is my friend and I's go to Pho place on the North Side!!! We've been multiple times and they don't disappoint. It's a family owned restaurant with friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. We did a walk in, which we usually do it's rarely super packed. Heads up, they didn't have wine this time. Not sure if it's a new change going forward or it was just that time.

. Prior to attending an event at The Aragon Ballroom, my best friend and I had dinner at this restaurant. We both chose to have large bowls of Steak Pho accompanied by duck spring rolls. The Pho was delicious, featuring a richly flavored broth and savory steak. Our server was a friendly young woman, and the gentleman who assisted her was also helpful. While the restaurant could use some updates and better maintenance of cleanliness, I would be happy to dine here again.

Came here late on a Tuesday night for a take out order. I ordered the Chao Vit (basically a rice porridge congee soup). It contained shredded duck, green onions, cilantro, ginger, and fish sauce. I actually ate it for lunch the next day, but after heating it up it was still delicious! I want to come back here and try their other many dishes. Definitely a plus that they're open a little bit later than some other local Viet spots. They have a huge dining space, and it appears they must have karaoke and other events since there is a stage in the back. Will be back!

Love Pho Viet. Delicious meals, a welcoming environment, friendly staff. Plus some of the better Pho Chay in the area.

This review is for the Happy Hour menu:…read more *Chicken wings - Really crispy! Flavor was ok. It wasn't bad but nothing over the top. *Grilled eggplant - Wish it was grilled a bit more for the charcoal taste. *Cold noodle salad with pork - Good array of veggies and fresh. Ask for the nuoc mam on the side. The portions are large for happy hour. Service was good. Would definitely go there again!

The interior is quite open and wooden, but still modern and airy. There's an open kitchen which I always enjoy. Service was solid too. I got some sort of pineapple cocktail which tasted very tropical and refreshing! For the food, we split the fried fish (fluke), the eggplant side, crab noodles and crab fried rice. The fish with the lettuce wraps was incredible. Definitely my favorite dish of the night and I would purge anybody to get it if they go there. It fell off the bone, super flavorful and no fishy aftertaste. The sauce with the lettuce wraps was also great! The noodles were forgettable tbh, but the fried rice had nice crab pieces. Overall, a very good spot for a more elevated dinner! It's just a bit expensive, but the portions were nice so I'll give them that.

Very disappointing experience. We visited on Sunday and…read moreunfortunately did not enjoy our meal at all. The soup had a very unpleasant smell and taste, and even afterward my lips smelled strongly of grease. The spoon provided for the soup was also unpleasantly smelly, heavily scratched, and clearly worn out. It was a plastic spoon that should have been replaced a long time ago. I had to ask for disposable utensils because I simply couldn't use it. The place was visibly dirty, with uncleaned tables and an overall unpleasant atmosphere. We were also shocked that an additional item for the meal was served in a plastic bag. This felt very careless and disrespectful to customers. Unfortunately, cleanliness, food quality, and service were all a 0/10 for us. I would not recommend this place.
