Instead of adding the brisket in the same bowl, they bring you a small separate bowl. For $5, I think that's a great deal so I was pleasantly surprised. The broth was delicious and they were generous with the oxtail as well. They also packaged everything up for me with no problem. My boba was also delicious as well. Stopped by on a Sunday evening when the restaurant was nearly empty. We ordered their chicken pho, beef pho, spicy beef pho which all tasted fine (not amazing). Pretty disappointed with this one. Although the food still remains a solid staple the service is terrible. The past 3 times we've tried to attend, there has not been a crowd when we walked in. All times the wait times dragged and the owner was more concerned about to-go orders. We were the only table there...along with one single person who was also tended to before we even got menus. Once the crowd came in, everyone else got tended to immediately. We finished our appetizers without waters that we asked for and when they finally brought them out, they also brought them promptly to other tables that followed. When I politely asked why the food came out faster for others, the owner did not apologize and said that the kitchen messed up our order. It would have been nice to know beforehand. Extremely overpriced and nothing was suggested to be comped for their terrible wait times. I really tried to give the benefit of the doubt because the food and boba smoothies are very good... but three times in a row (years apart) for bad service in a nearly empty restaurant is a joke. All of the veggies came separate so tbat they were nice and fresh once you put them in the broth. The pho was pretty good and was a nice sized portion. Even the smaller portion in which my daughter ordered was still pretty big! They had meat options such as meatballs, brisket, or sliced beef that you can order with the pho. The restaurant is as divided into 2 sections. Right where you enter is the restaurant that contains the main bar, a tv to watch the game, and tables if you wanted that atmosphere. We dined in on a Sunday night so that part of the restaurant was not that packed. It looked like they just hosted a party there not too recently and the place is big enough for a small reception, birthday party, etc. We were seated on the other side of the restaurant and this is where the most of the people were seated that night. The menu options for dinner were a little scarce, and the majority of the options were mostly soup-like dishes. There were not really any rice dishes that were available and i know the hubby was a little disappointed as that is what he was looking for. I found Tank Kitchen & Bar, of course, via Yelp. The place looks new (no idea how old is the place) and there is available street parking. I wasn't a fan of the subtle mint, but the overall roll was good. - Quail. I never had quail before, and this was cut into halfs. The quail came with a salt and pepper dip, which was good. At one time in life, I went to Tank Noodles on Broadway, prior to the pandemic. It was a vibe and it was something that I wanted to try for so long. I remember that we had the pho at first but were surprised at the plethora of items that came with it. I started off of course with a nice and refreshing Mango dragon fruit juice, that was beyond beautiful. I was happy for course as it wasn't at all super sweet, which at first I thought it would be. Nicely done to the waiter who brought out, he was I believe the nephew of the owner on Broadway. He knew his foods and drinks for sure and was pleasant enough to hang out and speak to us on the founding of this location. For dinner I had to try the combination noodle soup with shrimp that also had a fish cake, veggies and crab meat. I have to admit, I was super surprised at the freshness of the ingredients, this is a plus for me to come back. I also order a side of rish , and they were kind enough to include lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes with it. Nicely done Tank, nicely done. I do enjoy a refreshing start to dinner so this made my day. We walked in, one adult with 4 teenagers and even the pickiest of the bunch tried some authentic cuisine (and also ate allllllll the calamari appetizer that was delicious.).
