Well decorated interior and yummy drinks! Viet coffee and avocado smoothie was no regret purchase but high price tag. I would go back to get my viet coffee here bc nice lady makes it so well she shakes it to the bone to mix it perfectly. Bun w shrimp and grilled pork was refreshing and i liked the fish sauce dip. We ordered the fried spring roll and it had nice flavors inside. Bun bo hue was enjoyed by my girlfriend and the bathroom was spacious.
This usually isn't our pho spot but my husband and I dined in tonight. We ordered the spicy bun bo hue and pho triple 7 special. The garnishes came out first and we noticed it wasn't fresh because the toppings were already discolored. The food hit the spot but more improvements could be made especially with having fresh, crisp, new toppings for the soup and not discolored sprouts and wet leaves. My husband liked the bun bo hue but he wasn't a fan of the coagulated blood cubes in it. The pho 777 special was decent but some of the meats looked too dark. Overall the experience was ok.
Pho 777 has a very extensive menu, and they decorated the inside with paper flowers for spring which was so cute! They have a vegetarian section which at first glance does seem a bit small, however it seems you can order dishes and substitute the meat for tofu. I ordered the banh hoi and just asked for tofu instead of shrimp. Our server was very helpful, and not only did they easily accommodate but their tofu is also really good! Super light and crispy on the outside and inside was very silky and rich. As you can see, this was a huge plate of food! I had leftovers but it would've also been good as a sharing dish. Everything came out quickly and was very fresh.
Another hearty pho on a cold day. Service is fast and no nonsense as usual. Got the #1 and #10 pho.
Lives up to the name of being a 7. It's better than a few other pho restaurants I've tried but it's not one I would go back to. Pho is pretty mid. Broth was decent, the flavors are there but just missing more depth. My rare beef was cut a bit too thick so it made some pieces a bit more difficult to chew.
First time getting pho, was overall very happy with my meal. The pho had really a good really good broth, not too salty. The ingredients were fresh. The meat was good, nothing outstanding. Service and fast and friendly. The ambiance was nice, very eclectic.
Was greeted and seated right away. If you're looking to eat some pho but not a big portion, this is not the place. They only offer one size. Service was horrible. The waiter person was not friendly, has no customer service skills, does not talk to you, you're polite to him, you say thank you and he says nothing but with an attitude face, the beef stew had good flavor, but with service like that, who would eat there and enjoy!!?? Would not recommend or return!
As a Vietnamese-American foodie, Pho 777 is my top pick if you're looking for various, high-quality Vietnamese dishes at a reasonable price point in Chicago. The pho embodies all the characteristics that a proper bowl should have: a well-balanced, complex depths of flavors, delivered in a bowl the size of your head. This pho will revive you after long nights of shenanigans. The broth alone will comfort you almost as well as your best friend. The idea of a single bowl will make you question reversing your newfound pescatarianism (speaking from a personal place lol). I'm only half kidding - it's really good. For the other dishes, com tam bi suon cha (broken rice with bone-in pork, pictured) is also a solid choice, with generous portions of shredded pork, egg cake, veggies, and scallion oil. Mi xao gion (fried egg noodles smothered in meat, veggies and gravy) is also done well. Overall, if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, look no further than Pho 777!

This might be the best Pho I have found to date in Chicago!! The broth is so incredibly clean, and filled with flavor. The ambiance of the place is unique, but if you like eclectic, you'll love it. Service was quick and kind. Will definitely be returning again very soon!

Restaurant is clean, even the bathroom is clean (and that says a lot in an Asian restaurant) We came here after the lunar new year event and omg the food is still as good as I remember it! Service was fast, waiter was friendly. I e been trying other pho places and yes this is still as good and. I haven't found another one that is just as good. Definitely will be coming back!

My college roommate is Vietnamese and this is the only restaurant in town that her parents will eat it because it is that authentic. The flavors in their PHO are to die for!!! I love this place so much that I refuse to go anywhere else for Vietnamese cuisine. If you're in the area, you should definitely check this place out the food here is exceptional!!

My waitress was really sweet! The food however, was just alright. The pho is not better than Nha Hang's and the beef def tasted a bit old/frozen. I also ordered eggrolls. The sauce and eggrolls were subpar. If you use card to pay, you will be charged a surcharge. My surcharge was an extra $4 (which is alot). I am an avid pho connoisseur & this was just eh! We came here to eat Pho for breakfast. The place was empty when we arrived and stayed empty. Maybe one pick up order, but perhaps too early for takeout. The dining room is very spacious, and the service was great and efficient. My wife and I both ordered a bowl of Pho. Both were very similar and came with brisket and skirt flank. The Pho was very flavorful, came out hot and everything tasted fresh. You get a decent amount meat and overall a very filling dish. I can definitely see myself returning. read more

My girl has been coming here with her family since the early 2000s. This place is amazing and you can feel the warm family owned vibes as soon as you walk in! The prices are unbeatable and this has to be the best Pho you can get anywhere! I am slowly becoming a regular here! read more

Pho is really good. The broth is tasty and has a lot of depth. The banh mi was disappointing and a waste of money though. There were barely any veggies and they gave us a few scraps of thinly sliced meat for the whole sandwich I was sharing. read more

We wanted to check out a new restaurant in Argyle and stumbled upon pho 777 Bun Bo Hue: tasted ok. there were plenty of toppings in the dish but the soup was not as spicy and rich as we expected Bun Cha Hanoi: so delicious! it was my first time having this dish. the flavorful meatballs, rice noodles and tangy dipping broth combined made me want to order seconds lol - so worth getting this dish We enjoyed our experience here but were a bit confused when the staff refused to give us extra tupperware. Overall, we enjoyed the food and recommend getting the bun cha hanoi! read more

Ate dinner hear tonight. First, the place is pretty open and on the medium to big size for a typical Vietnamese place in the area. It was very clean. The owner greeted us and she was phenomenal and friendly. We orders the spring rolls. Excellent and fresh. We also had the papaya Ga salad with chicken and it was the best we have ever had. Booming with freshness and perfect balance. Also had the crab rangoons which were very good. For main courses we both got Pho - once chicken and on beef. Both excellent flavors. And then we riders to Bam Mi sandwiches to go. I mean who doesn't want to eat a cold Bon Mi on a Sunday late morning. They looked amazing. All in all- excellent service and staff. Great food. When we pulled up tonight to Pho 777 it was to their old location and it was all locked up and we were speechless. But then we looked at the notice said they just moved down the street and our frowns turned upside down. I wanted the number 9 and right away our server said no get the number 10 or 15, it's better. I really appreciated it and I ended up getting the number 10. Ultimate comfort food on this rainy, gray Chicago day. We give it a 8.4/10. The spring roll was the best spring roll I've ever had, and it's because they added beef to it, which I haven't experienced before. I felt like my grandma was serving me which made this even more cozy. When she came to collect our dishes and we still had half of spring roll on our plate she said, I don't want to throw it away someone's eating it. And I did eat it, despite being stuffed, and I'm glad I did. 9/10 spring roll. read more
Quite a few people during dinner time, cozy atmosphere, they seem to be moving to a different location soon. I loved(!) the spring rolls. They might have been some of the freshest rolls I've had in a Viet restaurant. Sadly I think there was a bit of miscommunication so I did not get the bowl I ordered but it was nice. The pho was not the best I've ever had but it was good enough and the broth was not overly salty which I appreciated. Would recommend! read more
We really enjoyed the food and our time here! The area it's in is a bit shady, especially at night, but this is one of the places that was open for viet food on Easter Sunday! The inside reminds me of any og viet/Chinese restaurant with the decor and the child playing on their iPad in the back haha the food was really good and authentic. Gives a home cooked feel like our grandma's food. It took a while for someone to come get our order even when it wasn't very busy and other people who came in after us kept getting served before us, but the food came out pretty quick after we ordered. The older lady who served us talked to us and helped pack up our food just like grandma would haha read more

3.5 stars! I need to preface this by saying I hold extremely high standards for Vietnamese food. I thought everything was good and would definitely eat here again, but I have had better viet food. Staff is really friendly and attentive! Pho - got the special pho which has all the meats in it (eye of round steak, well done flanks, hind shank, soft tendon, bible tripe, & meatballs). The broth was delicious and had a lot of depth to it! The meats however were a bit chewy and I would've liked better quality meat. There were some pieces I had a really hard time chewing through, and some pieces were just fat. I would recommend just getting the eye of round steak & meatballs because these are the best quality and tastiest. Also recommend asking for the eye of round on the side instead of in the pho so that way you can cook it yourself in the pho broth to your liking, otherwise it will be well done when it comes out because it's sliced so thin. Banh xeo - this is my favorite Vietnamese dish, and this one is HUGE! No complaints there, it's filled with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. I thought this one was super crispy and flavorful, however it was just a tad bit oily. Banh cuon tay ho - steamed rice rolls with pork sausage, grilled pork, and shrimp cake. The grilled pork in this dish was phenomenal! The flavor and smokiness of it was so good. The rice rolls were a bit on the thicker and chewier side. read more

Food was delicious and the service was attentive. Gave very homey/family run vibes which is always a plus with Asian food. We for pho and a few other dishes but def will be coming back to try more of what's on their extensive menu! read more
This spot is a small, unassuming Vietnamese restaurant in the Argyle neighborhood. The menu is massive, much like most Vietnamese restaurants. I didn't expect much since the reviews weren't extremely good. However--my friends and I were pleasantly surprised. Two of us are Vietnamese and from Orange County area, so we've eaten plenty of amazing Vietnamese food throughout our lives. My friend ordered the pho, my other friend ordered the banh xeo, and I ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang. Each of us enjoyed our dishes. It was the perfect day for hot soup because it was freezing outside. The service was your typical Vietnamese service--no frills and straight to the point. Thank you, Pho 777! read more

Combination Broken Steamed Rice is the one many Yelpers recommend. For me, the taste is okay, just present how the food should be, no surprise. Pho is good. The only thing I do concern is the dining environment, the table is sticky and the utensils are not clean at all, either is the cup. Moreover, if you are expecting a nice service, this is not the place to go. read more

For a place named Pho 777 I can't comment on the pho. A friend of mine asked if I had ever been here after she saw a post on Instagram that featured the Bun Cha. That was basically more than enough for me to head out there. Obviously, I was going to have the Bun Cha, but I saw the Bun Xeo on the menu. I had miss the opportunity to get it and another Vietnamese restaurant that had it on the menu but was denied because they no longer had it on the menu and didn't have time to take it off. So, the Bun Xeo is described as an appetizer but that thing is huge! I wish the photo could do it justice but the description saying it's a crepe is a bit of an understatement. I'm pretty sure there's 4 eggs in there and of course after you load it down with veggies it gets pretty hefty. I think the lady was kind of trying to warn against overordering because with Bun Cha, she mentioned that it comes with rice paper and it needs to be wrapped separately. I think she was trying to say that between the the Bun Cha and the Banh Xeo my stomach would feel like it was going to explode and those two dishes would take up the entire table. I did feel like I ate too much, but it was all so good that I basically couldn't help myself. The combination of tofu, pork, fresh veggies and noodles for the Bun Cha was great and this was probably the best Banh Xeo I've had outside of Hanoi. read more
