This was such a good stop before going downtown! Just a few blocks from the red line Fullerton stop. Service was fast; we called 5 minutes ahead and they had the food ready for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and flavorful, we were able to share one seitan bahn mi between two people, and when we talked about sharing it, the woman serving us offered to cut it in half for us and brought a second tray for it. This is a hole in the wall with an enthusiastic cashier/ server that's always a good sign. It's also a bargain considering it's in Lincoln Park right next to De Paul. I just ordered via DoorDash and am extremely disappointed. I had amazing Banh Mi elsewhere last week and have been craving it. 3 Asian Sisters is in my neighborhood, so I was excited to try somewhere new to me and close by. I understand you can cook/grill steaks to different degrees and that everyone has their own preference. However, the steak in my sandwich wasn't just on the rare side, it was undercooked. The texture was different than other parts of the steak and it felt slimy. I didn't feel safe eating it and disposed of it shortly after it arrived. I am really bummed that I had this experience! I liked the banh mi, but they shouldn't put it in the straw containers. I like the traditional one more than BBQ pork. It has a good amount of meat but not a lot of pickled vegetables. The sandwiches roll out immediately of the containers and all the sandwich spills out on the table if you're not on guard. Spring rolls were large and pretty good too. Thai tea was tasty. I was disappointed the 2 shrimp spring rolls were missing, as that was the appetizer I was most looking forward to. Overall, the food was good, but I thought the Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi could've used just a tad more flavor. The bread was a little dry, so I added Sriracha to the sandwich. We are so excited to have this restaurant in Lp! We recently got takeaway from here, service was fast and nice. We got chicken pho which was a huge hit with the kiddos. I got the noodle salad with lemongrass chicken and fish sauce and it was so good. I ate it so fast I barely came up for air. This family-owned, family-run Vietnamese eatery is a welcome addition to the Lincoln Park/DePaul campus dining scene since they opened back in November 2024. The '3 Asian Sisters' are actually all DePaul grads and may be found helping out behind the counter from time to time. I am here for lunch pretty much three or four times a week when school in session, and have pretty much eaten my way through their menu. I can therefore say with great confidence that this is one of the best restaurants in the area, and a perfect spot for students and teachers alike to grab a quick, healthy, cooked-to-order meal between classes or while on the go. My consistent favorites are the chicken pho and pork chop rice plate. The pho broth is flavorful but still light, with tender shredded chicken and the noodles are never mushy or soggy. The grilled pork chop is always perfectly marinated and cooked just right, and served with a delectable fried egg on top. Just be warned--portions here tend to be huge so bring your appetite.
