It really amazes me how early people eat pho. I looked it up and people actually eat this for breakfast. I guess it's similar to Mexicans and our menudo. We came right when they open at 10am for some pho. This place is very spacious with plenty of tables available. I ordered my pho with tripe and tendon as well as sliced beef. I accidentally ordered a large pho thinking that a regular one would be too small but I was wrong. This pho was way too big. Still fairly priced and it tasted amazing. Everyone else enjoyed their pho and we can't wait to come back. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant. The space is very dingy. While the staff were nice, the food was not good at all. I had spring rolls, which were fine, and chick and veggie noodle dish. The noodles dish was bland and the noodles seemed to be ramen noodles and they were not thoroughly cooked. Absolutely terrible!! The argyle areas has so many other great restaurants To choose from. Avoid this one read more

Got three different spring rolls, the duck, vegetable, and the shrimp. The sauce that went with the spring roll was generic but good. All three were pretty okay spring rolls. Surprisingly, my favorite was the vegetable one. Got the appetizer bo xue which was my favorite appetizer. It was crispy and flavors pretty good when you wrap it up in lettuce and dip it in the fish sauce. Got three other entrees and the bun Bo hue was good but not that spicy. The pho was big and broth was pretty good. The proteins of the pho wasn't that good and the tendons in the pho was hard and tasted a bit weird. The service was excellent and everyone was super nice. Overall, a great experience with lots of seating though the food was underwhelming read more

My friends recommended this place but unfortunately this place was not a hit for me. A group of six of us had dinner on a Sunday evening. They have a lot of space, good for private events. Service was quick. However, menus need to be updated as there were sharpie written over with different prices. I ordered the Bun Heo Nuong Tom because I love vermicelli bowls. Their sauce, nuac cham was plain and didn't have that usual umami flavor. The meat wasn't really seasoned. I'd possibly consider coming back to try other items with their extensive menu. read more

I've been here many times and it's always been really good. The restaurant is spacious and service is quick and the food is always delicious, especially the pho. My favorite is the oxtail pho. We recently did takeout and I decided to try something different. We ordered the white fish, the pancake And the spring rolls with duck. It was really delicious, especially the fish. The pancake was a nice surprise and unique. It's a great neighborhood spot read more

Tai Sach pho. I'm not Vietnamese, but this is the only thing I can order in Vietnamese. You know this pho will be amazing because the soup glistens with oil. The broth stewing and simmering for days on end in the cold winter nights. Wonderfully filling your stomach with noodles of joy and meat. This place had all the right characteristics of a yummy pho spot. The sriracha sauce and oyster sauce. Plus the chopsticks and napkins at your table. read more

We went to Pho Viet since it was one of the only Pho places open relatively late. I got the #40 Pho Dac Biet. The pho itself was solid. The meat was pretty tender, which I also liked, and the noodles were cooked well. But the broth was a little bland and was just missing something. Our food did take some time to come out, but the owners were super nice and never rushed us, even though it was close to closing. Overall, it was pretty solid. Not the most memorable pho, but I'd recommend it if you're in the area. read more

I came here on a summer day when it was particularly hot and humid. The restaurant smelled dank. I thought maybe the A/C or exhaust was broken. Then the waiters came out. Not sure if they still work there now but they did not smell good. They are of a certain ethnicity which is different from the cuisine. I feel really bad to say that it gives me poor hygiene vibes. I did place my order nonetheless, for takeout. I had to leave the place because it smelled like dirty laundry. I did comeback to pick up the order. This maybe gross but I still ate the food and was still delicious. I'd be wary to go back again. The lady owner (I suspect) was very friendly. I wish the place cleanliness would be better. read more

Good food, reasonable prices, friendly service. It's a hole in the wall, no doubt. But you don't go there for ambiance.

lovely food, even lovelier people -- the staff were SO kind!! the pho was reasonably priced, especially for the substantial serving size, and perfecttt for a cold winter day. can literally never go wrong. complimentary green tea and all the right sauces!! spot is accessible af (not too far from the train or free parking) and cozy. read more

I came here on a Wednesday evening with my partner. I was in the mood for some bun bo hue because of how cold it has been in Chicago. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring roll as an appetizer to start us off because I was really hungry. The sauce that came with the spring roll was a little weird to us so we ended up using hot sauce that was on the table. The Bun Bo hue was really good. I wish they had the pork knuckle or pork blood in there but other than that, I don't really have any complaints. The soup was really good and then there was a good kick of spiciness in every slurp. I was really satisfied by the end of the meal. My partner just had the regular pho with flank steak, but in a large size. He was super satisfied, so that was a good sign. The restaurant is really big but I guess when we went at 8pm they had closed off half of it since there weren't a ton of customers. The owner was really nice and our orders were taken pretty quickly. I will definitely keep this place in mind whenever I'm in the area because the noodle soup that night really slapped. read more

This is my friend and I's go to Pho place on the North Side!!! We've been multiple times and they don't disappoint. It's a family owned restaurant with friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. We did a walk in, which we usually do it's rarely super packed. Heads up, they didn't have wine this time. Not sure if it's a new change going forward or it was just that time. read more

. Prior to attending an event at The Aragon Ballroom, my best friend and I had dinner at this restaurant. We both chose to have large bowls of Steak Pho accompanied by duck spring rolls. The Pho was delicious, featuring a richly flavored broth and savory steak. Our server was a friendly young woman, and the gentleman who assisted her was also helpful. While the restaurant could use some updates and better maintenance of cleanliness, I would be happy to dine here again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is phenomenal and the service is honestly above and beyond. What's even more impressive is that I have only ever ordered from them through delivery, yet they still manage to make me feel like a loyal regular. Every single order is consistent, carefully packaged, and clearly handled with care. And the pho... it is so good. The broth is rich, flavorful, and comforting every time. The biggest thing for me is that it actually arrives super hot, which is surprisingly rare with delivery pho. Other places can be really inconsistent with that, but this place nails it every single time. I will never not order from them, I will always recommend them, and honestly I love them so much! They are great! Disclaimer - this is not sponsored lol I really REALLY love this place and their food. read more

sad. overcharged us with items that had a different price on the menu.. Lemonade was warm?? Hair on our food. And then had the nerve to give themselves a 20% gratuity. This was not the Pho Viet of old. I was in town with a group of people and decided to stop by this old haunt. 10-15 years ago, this was a pretty decent place. However, that was then. 1. Food - 1 star. we ordered Pho and a few other soup options. In general, the broth was bland and did not taste like the chef put anything authentically Viet in it. 2. Ambiance - 3 stars. Typical Asian eating environment. Nothing has changed much in the last decade. 3. Service - 3 stars. The staff was willing but did not seem enthusiastic about anticipating our needs. Overall - 2 stars. This place has seen better days and I hope they improve. Only time will tell. read more

I've been here many times, but today was not good at all. For starters, the coffee was pretty weak and watered down and the banh xeo fish sauce tasted like water. I'm not sure if the server was new but he seemed to always be rushing us and not really understand what we were asking for. I got a rice plate and again, watery fish sauce. The meats were mediocre- the pork chop was thin and dry. I know this place serves delicious food so not sure if we came on a bad day but if this was my first time going, I wouldn't come back since there's way better places to get Vietnamese food nearby. read more

Came here late on a Tuesday night for a take out order. I ordered the Chao Vit (basically a rice porridge congee soup). It contained shredded duck, green onions, cilantro, ginger, and fish sauce. I actually ate it for lunch the next day, but after heating it up it was still delicious! I want to come back here and try their other many dishes. Definitely a plus that they're open a little bit later than some other local Viet spots. They have a huge dining space, and it appears they must have karaoke and other events since there is a stage in the back. Will be back! read more

I was disappointed with the service and lack of attention from the establishment. I had to ask for plates, water, and to get someone's attention to take our order. The place wasn't even crowded but the staff was busy prepping food at one of the side tables. The food was meh. We ordered spring rolls , salt and pepper squid, and pho combination with side of ox tails. I only wanted ox tail as an add-on to my Pho but the server misunderstood and gave us for both. We didn't want to cause a fuss but the restaurant didn't even try to fix the problem with our bill or anything. The pho was bland in my opinion and the portion was way too small for what they charged. The salt and pepper squid was decent but this wouldn't be enough to get me to even go back. read more

This place is dirty, I am surprised the health department has not stopped by. The menu needs updating as all of the pricing is incorrect. However, the Pho was pretty good! Great Vietnamese spot right next to the Argyle station. The first thing you notice when walking in is how big this place is. In addition to the dining area they have a huge party area with a full stage. Our server Creed was excellent and super friendly. Well portioned and tasty. We had both had pho. I had beef and my wife had vegetarian. Delicious! If I wasn't full I would try all of their extensive menu. I really want to get some Bahn xeo (sp?) Vietnamese crepes. But flu season and chilly weather, it's always good to have a nice bowl of iron rich pho to keep you healthy! It's below freezing right now, seems like a perfect day! read more

4.5 stars: A lot of people have recommended this spot to me, and I was glad to have tried it! The space is huge and very spacious-- good for groups both large and small. There weren't that many people there for Friday lunch and my friends and I were seated immediately. The service was attentive, quick, and food came out quickly. I ordered the Mi Quang, a staple dish of Central Vietnam. It was delicious, though the noodles were a bit flavorless and overcooked compared to the rest of the dish components and I wish there was even just a little more broth in it. Otherwise, the ingredients (shrimp, chicken, pork, greens) were fresh, eclectic, and all came together cohesively. The broth was excellent: rich, hearty, and savory-- wonderful umami flavors. We also shared a Vietnamese Spinach vegetable dish, which came with a bowl of rice, and was sautéed well. The garlic flavor was strong, aromatic, and made the dish taste very fresh. I also tried some of the Tofu Banh Mi, which was okay (but very fairly priced-- $7.50, which is among the very cheapest I've seen in Argyle so far). The bread was flaky and well toasted, and the sandwich as a whole tasted fresh and good-- just a little dry. Prices have increased (as they have everywhere) and the changes are listed on the front of the menu, but overall it's still very affordable and a great value! The menu is very long and expansive, so I'd definitely be interested in coming back to try their other dishes. read more

Pho Viet has been our Viet spot now for the last 4 years and we have taken many of our friends to this restaurant. It's our go-to when I'm missing my mom's cooking. My usual is their Bun Bo Hue (I've tried many Bun Bo Hues in the Argyle area, this one is my favorite). Pho is good, love their spring rolls, and Com Suon (rice & pork chops). Service was terrible. Soup was not enough hot. I used bank card, she asked me put pin number then gave me printed receipt and said just sign, my name on it. Place: This place was recommended by a friend and I got to say it was worth the type. Ate a variety of the food here and what tops all is the banh mi!! Crispy exterior with soft interior bread. Flavorful sauce with freshness from the veggies. The pork roll was also delicious. My cousin and I wanted to take some time out before she left for college. She stumbled around this place and it was pretty decent. We ordered 2 viet iced coffees and a order of spring rolls. We both ordered a Pho, she ordered a medium and I ordered a large. I didn't finish it since the wait was pretty long and I lost my hunger for a bit , haha. I'd give the pho a 8/10 for size and flavor. My mouth somehow gets dry everytime I drink pho soup, so it's kinda weird and the portion size for noodles and soup is so big! I'd give the coffee a 9.5/10! I wish it was a little less thick and more coffee instead of ice, but nonetheless, it was sooo delicious and I'd highly recommend this! I'd give the spring rolls : 9/10! Super delicious, crunchy, tasty, filling and much more. I would definitely recommend this and we thought about ordered another one! Customer service wasn't terrible. The server did keep staring at us from a distance while we were eating, so for what it's worth, food is so so good, but I just wish we weren't being watched consistently. I do recommend this place if you want some fresh coffee & delicious food! Coffee took like 10-15 mins to get to us, so it was kinda sad. But so gooooood! read more

We did takeout for lunch since we were in the vicinity. The dining space is very laid-back and probably easy to have kids over. At least that's what the very personable and friendly person at the register told me. We ordered two bahn mi sandwiches. The barbecue pork was probably sweeter than the other classic version. We also ordered a dish with egg noodle which came with soup on the side. I appreciated that the cashier telling me not to combine the soup with the noodles since that's not how it's meant to be eaten and it won't be good. read more
