The restaurant operates similar to fast food chain. Hot tea was served in a to-go cup and not in a traditional tea pot. The pho vegetables plate was small with lemons instead of limes, unlike most other Vietnamese restaurants. The pho broth was sugary sweet. The broth was clear without any hint of grease. For a broth made by simmering beef bones, I would expect some grease inside. The noodles had good texture and the spring rolls were great. For casual diners, Pho Da Cao may be good choice. For me, the quality of the pho is not to my standards.

After many years of…read morereturning, I am actually downgrading this once beloved restaurant based on my most recent visit in March 2026. Service was really slow on this particular visit. I had the Vietnamese combination pho as usual. The broth lacked flavors. The combination pho only had meatballs and rare beef. How's that even combination? The pho noodles were too soft. The rice papers used as the wraps for the fresh spring rolls were a little hard. I was not impressed with Viet Huong on this particular visit. This hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant used to be my favorite restaurant in Tulsa. That time has gone. Maybe, next visit will write a different story. I came back just to make sure my review was accurate. I tried both Bun Bo Hue (my favorite Vietnamese soup) and the Vietnamese pho. The pho broth was the same (mildly flavorful) but the noodles were more firm than last time. The Bun Bo Hue was comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa, but I would say none of them are exceptional. Good luck finding a Vietnamese restaurant that serves exceptional Bun Bo Hue in Tulsa like Pho Cuong in Oklahoma City.

If you enjoy exploring new cuisines, I highly recommend giving it a try. The food was excellent, but what made our experience even better was the outstanding service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The dining environment was also warm, clean, and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing family meal. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned before continuing our trip to Florida. We simply couldn't stop thinking about the food! We will definitely come back on our next visit to the Tulsa area. I would rate this restaurant 10/10. Whether you're looking for something unique like the Mohinga or craving a comforting bowl of pho, Mekong is a must-visit. The food, service, and atmosphere are all exceptional.

The shrimp was the worst dish. It was just frozen shrimp with sweet and sour sauce to dip it in. It came with 2 slices of cucumber and 2 slices of hot house tomatoes. The prices were high and the food wasn't good.

Most of us thought the broth was too sweet, and the noodles had a really strange, mushy texture. We've never experienced that with pho before bc it's really hard to mess up pho noodles. On the bright side, my brother-in-law and I both got the combination rice plate and thought it was really good! Everyone who got the Thai tea also liked it.
