Pho - Rare Steak When I ordered I wasn't told that this is no longer served rare as listed on the menu. The steak was tough and cooked is overdone that it was inedible. They also cooked the onions too. I didn't even eat the pho because of how off putting this was. By the time I got home to open and see this monstrosity, they were closed. Oddly enough she opened and showed me all of the other take out boxes before I left and didn't do that with the Pho. I called the next morning and the lady cited that the Health Department told them they can only serve the rare steak for dine in. No offer to refund just the apology. Which with the price of food, I felt like I should've been provide with some kind of compensation for the missing information when I ordered. Had I known in advance, I definitely would have skipped ordering Pho. So be warned not worth it to get pho to go if you like the rare steak versus the dried out over cooked well done they send you with. Egg rolls These were just okay, they were fried well just lacked flavor in the contents. The plum sauce was overly sweet, so much that it was like eating spoons of sugar. This also dish was inedible. Vermicelli chicken The chicken had a nice ginger presence from the marinade. The sauce that comes with it was also overly sweet. Which was off putting when added to the entree. Decent portion size. I ordered to go I had the #7 the rare steak and brisket and some spring rolls , my order was ready in under 5 minutes, the broth I tasted on its own with out adding any sauce had alot of flavor , the spring roll had fresh veggies in it and was very tasty. The Bun Bo Bue is my go to at any Vietnamese restaurant. This is how I can tell if the restaurant is legit or not and I would say it's pretty good. Hole in the wall pho spot in the ShopRite lot that once was Pho 98(not a great spot) is now a place I like a lot. So let me tell you what's hot: the spicy pho they're dishing out is spicy. They aren't taking the word spicy lightly - that being said, the broth was super flavorful and I'm not sure I'll be able to try and order a different kind when I go back as I'm still thinking about the complex broth of the spicy pho. I had the pork and beef variety and the pork came in the form of sausage - had a rather odd look and taste that I'll just go without next time. The sliced beef was tender and had good flavor. This soup came with a thicker rice noodle akin to a thick spaghetti with a somewhat udon consistency. We also had the chicken broth pho. It was good, had a nice refreshing flavor. If anything negative it was a tad on the sweet side. The chicken was really good! Thinly sliced white meat that was succulent and not at all dry. The shrimp garden rolls were crunchy and refreshing, a little heavy on the romaine and a little light on the vermicelli. I'll still get an order every time we go I'm sure! Service was prompt and friendly, and the pho is served in... well standard pho sized portions so for an average of 10 bucks a bowl it's a great winter spot for a filling meal that's very on the affordable side of dining! read more

I have come here before and have had awful service. I have also gone and got "okay" service. It really depends on what servers are working that day. The pho comes with hardly any meat, but the broth is alright. Nothing spectacular. Depending on who is waiting on you, you have to beg for water refills and the side of basil that normally comes standard at other Vietnamese restaurants. I wish they would start selling avocado smoothies because I would actually find this place worth the frustration. Their boba bubble tea with the iced tea plus condensed milk is tasty though, again, depending on who is working.
