Beef for broccoli was good everything was fresh and the shrimp fried rice had lots of shrimp in it. The restaurant was quiet. There are tables if you want to eat in it's very small. The seating area had quite a few boxes of containers so it was kind of cluttered. Customer service was great it took about15 minutes to get our food. I would say if you just looking for basic Chinese food no different than any other Chinese restaurant it's a good place to come to. I would try it again. read more

I come here for the Chicken Pad Thai, which is kinda a secret menu item. It's not on the paper menu, or online but it's taped to the carryout window inside and you can call and order it. (Other protein options available also.) Pad Thai is different just about everywhere but this is a decent, quick representation that is not spicy, which a lot of Chinese carryouts serve it up too spicy for my tastes. The delivery is fast, the food is delicious, the pricing has increased over the years but we only support there business one time a year so no big deal. I work nearby and we had ordered for the whole office (16 people) shortly after this shop opened. I was impressed with not only the speed of their delivery, but that the entire order was complete and accurate. Went back today by myself for another try. My carryout order was ready before I walked in the door. I ordered Hot and Spicy Beef (see pic). I liked that they used a 2-piece plastic container with top for the carryout meal instead of the usual styrofoam tray with attached fold-over lid. Located not too far from the movie theater, I decided to stop and get some spicy shrimp fried rice. It's plenty of a parking shared with some of the nearby shops. The establishment was well lit, clean and prices seem reasonable. My unhappiness lies in the flavor of the food. You know it's a sad day anytime you throw chicken wings away. The fried rice was not spicy like I had requested and I had made it home and nothing could be done. Some parts of the rice was dry and other parts seemed clumped and gummy. I'm hoping that I visited on one of their "off" days but it's now on my one and done list so I'm unwilling to give them another try. read more

I can't believe how many negative reviews this location has, I've been here only twice during COVID and they haven't disappointed! First off, I really like that they have an online ordering system, I hate calling and placing a takeout order anywhere. We've gone to pick up our food and it's always ready ahead of time. They're polite and the place looks cleaner than other Chinese food establishments I've been to. This recent visit, we loved our food. We always order more than necessary as well, so we have leftovers for the next day or so. My boyfriend ordered the Hunan Roast Pork Combo and requested it extra spicy and he loved it. Also, the Hot Sesame Noodle appetizer. The portion was huge and could be a meal in itself! Delicious and slightly spicy peanut sauce, I was jealous I didn't order that myself, but will next time for sure. I ordered the Pad Thai Noodles with chicken. So yummy! The lime wedge was a nice added bonus that I wasn't expecting and you can see and taste scrambled eggs and peppers. I also ordered Beef and Broccoli combo and it was awesome. It wasn't drowned in brown sauce, the broccoli was crunchy, and the pork fried rice on the side was nice and flavorful. We always order a Steamed Dumpling appetizer to split every time we order Chinese food as well. Their dumplings were bigger than other restaurants, but the filling was disappointing. It was mushy and all blended together, I couldn't distinguish any unique flavors there. The sauce they came with was just soy sauce as well, no chopped scallions or anything in it. The Combination plates come with an Egg Roll as well, and they were so-so. I've had better. Will we return? Absolutely! Very good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. They have indoor seating as well. This is a small location for seating. They do have some tables available. The food was tasty and plentiful. This is in a business area but would definitely be back if in that area again. I tried the shrimp fried Rice and the Perfect Match. We also purchased some Crab wontons to go. You can not beat their $5-7 lunch specials. This is some of the best chinese food that I have had outside of NY. Everything is better in NY...lol. Happy Garden was a pleasant surprise. I got cashew chicken combo (comes with fried rice and an egg roll) and to meet the $12 delivery requirement I got the old standby, chicken chow mien. I'm from California and this was a different chow mien than I am used to, It was good though. And they did not skimp on the cashews for the cashew chicken either. I enjoyed my meal. It was near all the hotels close to the airport. There are little frills there. I had semi-chicken with a (fried) spring roll. It wasn't the best authentic-asian inspired food I have ever had, however, if you are expecting fresh, quick and good 'typical' Japanese food... I'd go there. Happy garden is delivery quality for sure BUT it's one of the best I've had. I hate when I order Chinese and the oil is creating a hole through the paper bag before it even gets to me. This place... not oily at all! I'm not going to say it's healthy because let's be real is fried rice and thick&saucy chicken ever healthy? But seeing as though 90% of Chinese delivery places is soaked in grease... this place gets 5 stars from me. We ordered 2 CHEAP lunch specials: fried rice with chicken lo mein and steamed rice with roasted pork. Both came with choice of soup or egg roll. We got one and one. When we got our order they threw in an extra wonton soup which was nice ! The orders also came with crispy noodles but they tasted a little stale. Everything else was SO yummy! I ordered online but at the end it said I had to call in if I was paying with a credit card. Well, another one bites the dust. This place was our go to for the 6 yrs we've lived in the area. Looks like it may have been sold or something as all the ingredients and recipes are all different. The orange chicken used to be so orangey and crispy even though it was soaked with sauce...couldn't even tell this was chicken now. The house made hot mustard we get every time was watered down and runny...not thick like it usually is. The dumpling dough is totally different and the drunken noodles (we know...not Chinese) are more of a curry than drunken noodles. Definitely not good anymore... read more

Shockingly good Chinese option in what looks like, seemingly, the middle of nowhere. My husband and I ordered the General Tso's and we were not disappointed in the least. One of the definite positives of this place is that we had the option to order brown rice instead of white, which is not usual in most quick Chinese takeout places. The food was very good - fresh, not at ALL greasy, and plentiful. They provided chopsticks, which was also a nice change - some of us 'muricans do know how to use them properly! Quick service, too - not overly friendly, but that's fine. This looks like a small family-run business, which is just the kind of place that I like to support. This is the best Chinese we've had since we visited New York City a couple of years ago, and that's saying something. We dined in - it's not a fancy atmosphere, but that's fine too. It was quiet - only us and a couple of family members eating lunch. If we ever get around this way again, we'll definitely be back. For those who live in the area - go, you will not be disappointed. A small "highlight" - apparently the person who lives next to this place has a tiny little "farm" of sorts - we saw chickens, goats, geese waddling around in the backyard, which is a little odd for Linthicum, but hey. I'm new to the area and wanted some good Americanized Chinese food. I would love to have rated this restaurant on a very high scale especially since it had already received such high reviews. And I was really looking forward to trying it out! I placed my order for a chicken teriyaki appetizer and a large shrimp fried rice via the online app (which I downloaded just to order). I waited over two hours (order placed at 7:18 pm/called 9:48 pm) being its a Friday night and a lot of ppl order out on the weekends. When the phone was picked up the lady said they never received my order and tried to take it over the phone. I maintained my cool very well especially since I'm HANGRY by this time. I tell her nevermind and not to worry about it because I needed to eat now. Low and behold...I get a DANG NABBIT email from the online app saying the order was canceled not even 30 seconds after hanging up the phone!!! I'm like what the what!!!! And to think I was going to give them another try because I'm thinking it's not their fault if the online ordering through the app wasn't working...hence the purpose of this negative review.
