Search for the best Pho joint in NoVA continues. We drove 45 minutes out to Manassas to try this place that so many people are raving about. We had the crispy spring rolls, oxtail and chicken pho. It was all pretty good. Two dudes in the shop was petty rude but who cares if the food is good. For us it is not worth the drive and many options around our area with similar to better pho. read more

Very flavorful and they are not skimpy on their portion. I ordered to go and enjoyed my bowl at home. The only thing i hate about this place is the location, it's hard to get it and out of and the parking lot is pretty small. I think this place tastes first place in the Pho department in Manassas. Definitely will come here again and try other things on their menu. read more

I had the eye round and meatball noodle pho with the specialty house sauce, lemon grass and garlic sauce. It had a little bit of spice but was delicious! They should rename this place to the "World's Fastest Restaurant." I came into Pho Saigon for lunch and was completely impressed by the speed of the service. The waiter promptly took my order upon sitting down. Well within a minute of ordering, my waiter came back with my spring rolls. Shortly afterwards, I got the grilled pork I had ordered. In terms of food quality, everything here is on-par with your average Vietnamese restaurant. Overall, the food here wasn't that memorable, but I did get a hefty amount of it for just ~$15. read more

came here to try the pho after seeing all the great reviews! ordered 4 different phos for take out. (2) pho - no toppings only noodles (1) pho - tai chin sach (1) ox tail pho by the time I got home & started heating up the soup, I opened up all the orders. unfortunately, they did not give me my sach which was disappointing. called them up & they offered me a complimentary bowl of pho for next time. soup was kind of salty. wasn't very memorable, but was good for what it was. it was a pho kind of day too so it was ok for what I wanted. my husband enjoyed the ox tail pho, but thought it would be ox tail broth? but we didn't realize it was a beef broth for everything. didn't feel special in that sense. I'd rather go to gom tang e for ox tail if that's the case. all in all, good place to try, but I think I'll stick to Pho 234 down the street. read more

This restaurant has some excellent pho and service. This is probably my favorite spot for pho in the whole Manassas area. The service is always super quick, whether you dine in or have takeout. The menu offerings are diverse and there really is something for everyone here. In addition, the food itself is delicious and the quality is consistent. As always, we will be back! read more

The broth reminded me of pho I had in Hanoi. +I really enjoyed the lemongrass sate sauce made in-house. -The iced coffee was terrible. Our little one spilled 1 of 2 iced coffees, and we didn't even sweat it because it was so bad. -The spicy garlic sauce tasted like the jars you can buy in the Asian supermarkets, with the green lids. As a Vietnamese-American and growing up with tons of homemade pho, you would expect that I will be picky - so it's not often that I would give 5 stars to just any Vietnamese / pho restaurant! To be honest I was a bit skeptical about this place since it was in Manassas but since we were in the area, we decided to try it out. The pho came out quick and piping hot! I've been coming here for years. I bring friends for lunch or get take out for dinner. I ALWAYS have the Pho. This time the broth had NO flavor. I'm not exaggerating. It was so disappointing. I had to put several giant scoops of lemongrass paste in it to even want to eat it. My lunch mate was teasing me that I was trying to get a jalapeño with every bite just to compensate for the lack of flavor or depth. I CONSIDERED ADDING SALT! It felt like i was in the twilight zone. I can't imagine any better Viet place. In fact their tag line: Nu Cuoi means Smile! Which is what I was doing as I enjoyed a great bowl of Oxtail Pho. They have only one size bowl. I asked the waiter what they were known for & his recommendation was the Oxtail, so my first time trying it was a great experience. Nice strips of beef, very tasty, no fat! He also recommend the lemongrass sauce which was tasty but not too spicy and not too hot. I also had the spring roll which came stuffed with several large shrimps. Fantastic Ox Tail Soup... definitely hard to find in the area! The soup is incredibly rich... so much so, that I reached the end of my bowl without adding my sriracha and hoisin sauce... it was that good... I felt internal strife as I kept wanting to put some for that fiery kick... but the broth just wouldn't let me... I would make my way just for that broth... hidden away in a quiet strip mall that no one would think twice about stopping by... now I have a reason to come! Generous portions of cut up strips of beef over noodles, enjoyed my lunch. Ask for the receipt and pay at the counter, its just the total amount due without the individual price. Hands down the absolute worse grilled beef I have ever had in my over 50 visits to Vietnamese restaurants. Over half the meat was grisly, chewy and fatty, awful...I'm not exaggerating and for $15.95 which included a fried egg roll, which was the best part of the meal, thus the extra star. This place seems hit or miss. Unfortunately, I think we visited on a miss day. When we arrived, we said "hello" to the lady who appeared to be a server or hostess. She grabbed two menus and flung them on the nearest table without saying hello or anything in return. When we ordered, it was clear that both the lady and gentlemen attending to tables were having a bad day, as they argued loudly to each other in the dining room between delivering food and taking orders. We ordered the chicken pho and the egg roll vermicelli. The chicken pho broth was good, but unfortunately, the chicken in the pho was super tough and had a very old consistency. The egg roll vermicelli was below average. Some of the veggies were old and had a slimy consistency. Between the lackluster food and surly service, I would not be back. I used to like this place a lot more under the previous management. I went there the other day and ordered a lunch combo and unfortunately the old man waiter didn't really speak english very well so he misunderstood me and they ended up charging me $22 for what should have been $12. I understand it was a miscommunication thing but y'all should watch out and be warned. Explicitly tell the waiter that you want the "LUNCH COMBO FOR $12". Like I said, the broth was tastier before but lately it has a watered down flavor. Oh, also. This is legit the only place in nova where if you want spring rolls, you have to tell them "EGG ROLLS" and if you want summer rolls, you have to tell them "SPRING ROLLS". This place is a solidly authentic Vietnamese restaurant that features very good food. I stopped in today at 12:30 pm & was quickly whisked to a 2 top. Ice water & a menu was delivered immediately. Several minutes later the waiter returned to take my order. I settled on the No 8 Eye of round, flank steak & meatball pho. Within minutes I received a fresh plate of bean sprouts, 2 large sprigs of Thai basilI, & sliced jalapeños. Five minutes later, I received a piping hot medium sized bowl of pho. The aroma was fabulous & the broth was amazing. Really light but had a nice fresh savory beef flavor. There was plenty of spring onions & white onions, & cilantro floating in the bowl above a nice bed of thin pho noodles. Arranged generously on top were thin slices of med rare eye of round, flank steak & quarters of large meatballs. I added about 1/3 of basil leaves & dove into the soup. It was absolutely delicious. They offer several condiments: garlic chili sauce, hoisin, fish sauce, & a homemade lemongrass sauce that was divine. I am looking forward to returning & trying other selections from the menu. I've visited Pho Saigon twice now. As usual, I ordered my all-time fave - the Pho Ga (made with a chicken broth - not a beef broth). It came out in short order - and the plate of aromatics/veggies that accompanied it - had the most Basil I've ever seen served with Pho. And it was all very large leaves, very crisp and fresh. Not wanting it to go to waste - I added all of the Basil, as well as all of the other ingredients (bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime) Their chicken broth is a little on the light side flavor-wise. I'd like to see a richer, deeper chicken flavor profile. But it's not a bad broth. I added several squirts of Sriracha sauce to the broth to add more flavor and some heat. I had so much stuff in my bowl that it really needed more hot broth. As if reading my mind (I did not point it out or ask for more) - suddenly one of the employees appeared with a medium sized bowl of more chicken broth and placed it on the table - telling me though I needed more. I've NEVER had any Pho joint do that. Impressive! Once there was enough room in the bowl, I poured the hot chicken broth into the main bowl. I ate as much as I could, and then got the rest to go. Not sure what is happening but on Friday I was at Pho Saigon at 1pm and there wasn't anyone in the place except the wait staff. Very odd b/c this place is always full at this time of the day. My soup was great as always, but something was different and I couldn't figure it out. When i walked in a stood at the entry waiting to be seated, the girl at the register looked at me and ducked behind the the register acting like she didn't see me. When it was very clear SHE SAW ME! I walked up to the register and asked "can I sit anywhere?" She said "sure, I didn't hear the bell ring" no bell rang she was ignoring me. Which is odd b/c I am friendly w/everyone at this place for the last 5 years, I am a solo regular that shows up at 1/130pm almost every Friday. We went back last weekend and I want to go back again already. The oxtail pho is still on point (even after covid and about 2 yrs since we've been back)! I love how they don't skimp out on the oxtail and ingredients. I forgot to mention in my previous review the delicious homemade lemongrass paste that I'm obsessed with and we all love! PHO Saigon - Manassas Va - Went to lunch here the first of Oct 2020 - social distancing and masks was required. Ordered beef pho of course, fried shrimp and egg roles. The servers very quickly brought out ice water, homemade lemon grass & hot sauce and a full plate of VERY fresh bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil and lemons. The servers brought out the shrimp & eggrolls (extremely fresh & hot), so good - crispy and the dipping sauce were outstanding. The PHO came right out, very fast service - all ingredients were fresh and comforting. BEST PHO in Northern Virginia (NCR area). First-class customer service and PHO every time. Like so many wonderful culinary gems this place is tiny. I'm new to the area and decided to try it after reading their reviews. I had gone to another pho place nearby that was disappointing at best and needed a pho fix. I didn't order much but when I called two things struck me about the place. The first was when I ordered they didn't want a credit card right then. That told me they had enough business that even if I didn't show up it would be sold. The second was the time frame for pick up - 10 minutes. I had the fried egg rolls as a appetizer. Amazing and delicious. If you're used to the Chinese fried egg roll this is not that. The outside was crunchy even after getting it home and the sauce included was a mildly sweet vinegar sauce which beats packets of duck sauce any day. Those two egg rolls basically filled me but I had to try the soup. Mmmm the soup. Delicious! I had the ox tail noodle soup which is as good as the reviews state. The meat is fatty but the soup is hot so the fat pretty much melts away. The meat, noodles, veggies, sauces and lime were packed separately and everything was very fresh. So much food I had leftovers. Since they are only 10 minutes from me I know I'll enjoy going through their entire menu. read more

Fresh spring rolls and B-6 vermicelli bowls - one with beef and one with chicken. Super tasty food, delivered fast, good service. We got there just in time to get a table - it was hopping. Ox tail pho. Amazing. Service was fast. Fried spring rolls were crispy and the sauce had a lot of fish sauce in it (which I love). The pho was very good. The broth was a perfect blend of spices and there was a lot of meat in the bowl. The pho came sprinkled with green onion and cilantro. It was served with a plate of sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeño slices. Halfway through the meal, i was offered a container with a paste of lemongrass, garlic, and chilies. While the server told me he didn't like it in pho because it masked the delicate flavor of the broth, I gladly added it to my pho to try something different. While it does overwhelm the broth, it is amazingly flavorful and it adds an excellent spice with citrus notes. I would have smuggled the paste out of there if I thought I could get away with it. Hubby's grilled pork with vermicelli was also a big win. Kids soups were too expensive for what they got. My kids are older so I would encourage them get the regular size portions next time. read more

The best pho/Vietnamese restaurant in the Manassas area but not in the Northern Virginia area (there are some better ones in Fairfax, Falls Church area). Price is fair/reasonable for the quantity of food. Service is average/below average at best (detailed below) but rarely dine-in and mostly do carry-out. Food Quality: 4-4.5 stars I would highly recommend the pho, as the broth is fresh and not too oily. They given you decent portions and reasonable for the price. The vermicelli options are above average however the pork vermicelli is slightly too salty and chicken vermicelli a bit bland. My go-to pho restaurant in the Manassas area. Service/Experience: 2.5 stars Usually order carry-out but have had several issues with my orders in the past. Most recently, called my order ahead of time, and when I came to pick-up my order 15 minutes later, they said they never received my call or order. They accused me of calling the wrong restaurant and never taking my order, despite me showing them my phone with their phone number and call duration. In the end, I just waited an extra 15 minutes for my food, but didn't appreciate them accusing me of calling the wrong restaurant (when I didn't). Parking spots are limited as the restaurant is in a very small shopping complex with other stores. They allow limited indoor dining but very limited space - I usually order carry-out. read more

On our first trip to Tucson, AZ, we was looking for a good Pho for lunch. After a few days of hiking in the south rim of the Grand Canyon, it was a real treat, the foods and deserts are so foods and very authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is nice and clean, and followed with CDC guidelines. For appetizers, we had Gỏi Cuốn, Banh Khot, seafoods combo; Phở đặc biệt, bánh xèo for the main dishes; and bánh It Tran for desert. Foods and services are very good.
