I use to go here a lot when it first opened a few years ago. I must say I haven't been back for at least 4-5 years bec The meat portions have diminished and the taste have regressed. Today I went back and that confirmed my conclusion a few years ago. I will drive a few miles down to get tastier and bigger portions. I came to this place just because it was close and one of my friends wanted to eat some pho. We walk right in and notice that there is no pho on the menu. It is called something else. But I don't remember at the moment. I ordered a pho seafood. The noodles inside are so hard and I waited for a while and it was still hard. It was actually really depressing. The broth wasn't good either. Really this place looks clean and the food looks like it would taste awesome but in the end it tasted horrible and I would never come to this spot again. read more

I like the atmosphere here. They are clean and fresh than any other local Pho restaurants that typically smells not good or clean. Also I like the quality since they limit to use MSG. After I ate here, then I am not thirsty. But I am thirsty when I ate at other places. My body is sensitive to MSG and I can feel the difference. Maybe the price is $1 expensive than others. But I think that is worth. Only bad thing is location. This location is kind of far from my favorite area which are Buena Park and Fullerton. And the servers (waitress) are very nice. First time here. Walked in this place and found only one family waiting for their food. I ordered Pho Tai and Tapioca Thai Tea. I did not see Pho Tai in the menu, yet the waiter knew it and without question. However, the Pho could use more meat and broth with more flavor. The Thai Tea was great. Overall the service was good. The family we saw when we walked in walked out when the waiter walked back in the kitchen after ten minutes when we placed our order. I am guessing the wait was too long? YESSSSS. I freaked out when I found a Pho Saigon in this area. I usually always go to the one in Koreatown and I love it. I spend a lot of time over here and just discovered this Pho Saigon today (I read up on their homepage a little bit and discovered that this was the first one). Super stoked about it and the best part is that it didn't disappoint me at all, if anything it was probably even better than the other one. Seems a little bit cheaper too. I'm always so confused about the amount of stars these places have. I think it should at least be a 4 on average. I LOVE this place. Authentic or not- this place is really good. The broth is perfect, not oily at all and super fresh. I always get the combo with number 14 (the eye-round). The meat is sooo good. If you like tender, super thin cut beef with no weird rubbery fat parts- then you should definitely try that. Also you get 2 egg rolls (delicious - its pork and I normally don't even like pork) and a drink. The combo is like $8-$9 something, a pretty good deal since you get a decent amount of soup. The boyfriend got a Banh Mi and it was also really good! I like the vibe inside. Its clean, pretty open and theres a cute little fish tank when you walk in. Bun Vermicelli with Beef and Egg Rolls are my good to food here. Everything taste fresh and with little oil.. The rice dishes and Thai tea with boba are delicious too. Food is consistent and the staff are very friendly. Came here during the heat wave and I was able to cool down. The only down side is, as always, prices went up due to the COVID situation. Pho Saigon has quickly gone to being my favorite Pho place in the Whittier area. The service is always friendly & fast. The food is VERY tasty; served fresh, hot, and fast. The prices are reasonable. There's never been a time where we've had to wait for a table. Great parking outside - easy to get in and out of. The restaurant has always appeared clean and well maintained. What's not to like?? I'm giving it 4 out of 5 because I've never been there when it's been crowded. Some places can drastically change when they get a few tables filled up. I could conceivably come back and up the rating to 5 stars though if my experiences continue to be positive! read more

I'm am new to the world of Pho. I tried it the first time at a local pho joint by my house that just opened up and wasn't that impressed. My husband said that there was another pho restaurant by his old school so I though I would give it a try. I really liked the food and the service. I tried the vermicelli with the shrimp and egg rolls and it did not disappoint. Every piece of it was delishhhhh. The service was great too. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful and to top it off, I left my cell phone there and when I went back to retrieve it, they gave it to me. Some other people might of just took it. I have been coming to this Vietnamese restaurant for 16 years!! It's local by my house. The staff is super friendly and always greets us with warmth since we are regulars. Their food is excellent. Their egg rolls are next level. Their thai iced tea with boba is perfect. I most often get the vermicelli with beef and egg roll, the pork fried rice, and of course, pho. They have a great pho special for 16$ that comes with a drink, pho, and egg rolls. My favorite pho is their fried wonton! Check this place out! read more

Me and my wife ate here today and ordered two glass water. When we got the water, the cup was filthy. It had a white stain residue which was stuck on the rim of the glass. We told the waitress and she just laughed like we were crazy. I ordered a can of soda and she gave me the drink in a cup. It was probably the same cup she took from our table. Bottom line is that this place was dirty. The tables and seats in the restaurant looked and smell dirty. Only a one star given because it's required otherwise it's NO star. We and my wife will never eat here again since we lost our appetite when we saw that filthy stain residue on the water cup. I should have taken a picture. read more

Went to pho saigon for the first time with my boyfriend day after christmas. It was owned by korean owner. The owner was kind and friendly. We got the large pho without the meat and spring rolls and shared. It was a cold weather, so it tasted really good and warm. The spring rolls were delicious too. There were not that many people when we ate, and it was quiet, so I liked it. This place is located in a empty mall with Marshalls in it. I enjoyed my stay and next time I go, I would like to try the pho with meat in it and also the fried rice. I love eating pho. It never disappoints except when the service is bad. read more

We got the rare steak pho, shrimp pho, and egg rolls. Everything was really good, although the broth did need an abundant amount of lime, chili oil, and soy, but I always put those things anyways so that's not really a strike against them. I ordered pick up, and it was $28. I think that's pretty expensive for soup and a flash fried frozen appetizer, but after all was done it was pretty good. The missed the train because they only have the chili paste from a jar, not home made chili oil. I had to add my own from home. Also, the meat portions was very skimp for how much it was. All in all, I would go back here again. I wouldn't run, mostly for the reasons I said above, but it was good enough to go back. This definitely was not like any place in Wesminster, so don't come expecting any of that. read more

Lots of mixed reviews. I'm going with 4 stars, but more so am focusing more on the 3.89 stars side. My wife had always wanted to try this place since we first saw it after finishing dinner at Mario's. It's not too far from our home in Whittier, about 6 miles, and that's way closer than going to Little Saigon--no matter how much I wanna get in touch with my roots! The first time we went here we just got some of the Vietnamese coffee--DELICIOUS... condensed milk FOR THE ULTIMATE WIN :) The last time we went here was actually very pleasurable. 16 dollars after tip and taxes and we were able to dine on a large Pho bowl and a bowl of vermicelli noodles w/ charbroiled beef. The meal was tasty and was complimented dearly by the great service that the father/son duo provided us. I love mom and pop service and the attention and pride that the family takes in winning over customers. The shortcoming of Pho Saigon is that it's not ENTIRELY authentic... the fish sauce is sweet but lacks the pungent character that more traditional Vietnamese restaurants provide. The Pho broth itself was not as "MARROWY"... it's not a word I know, but those of you who know good Pho will understand exactly what I'm talking about--it tastes a bit too "SAFE". The bowl of Pho doesn't WARM you up the way that you'd expect. Give it a go and judge for yourself. Great kudos to Pho Saigon for killer, attentive service--but would advise that more character and dedication be given to the authenticity of each dish. WILL BE BACK 100%, and look forward to another good meal! read more

HORRIBLE experience! My daughter and I had been here before, we shared pho & spring rolls, we were pleased with the food. Went again, 4 of us this time, restaurant was fairly busy, ordered spring rolls, pho, and a roasted chicken dish. The spring rolls were brought out w/out plates, we ate off napkins. About 10 mins after the rice dish was served, the waitress served our 2 pho soups in front of us, no bowls, no bean sprout side. We sat there staring at our pho. We had to ask for bowls. The waitress brought out 2 bowls, we asked for 4 and were told that there were no more bowls, and we would have to wait for them to be washed!!! So AFTER, our pho had been siting in front of us for about 15 mins we finally got our bowls. Then we had to ask for the bean sprout side plate! We asked for the manager and were directed to the owner. When I explained to him how unsatisfied I was with the service, he shrugged his shoulders. I told him I would not be back there again, and he angrily told me that he was charging me MORE $$ because we had shared. I asked him where was it noted that we could not share our food??!!! In the end, I was not charged the extra that he threatened, but I could not believe he would even try this!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I will be reporting them to BBB! read more

This place used to be Vietnamese owned and now it's Korean owned. The menu didn't change and I think everything still tastes the same, but boy is the interior much nicer and cleaner looking. I think the pho is pretty good, but probably not as good as more authentic Vietnamese places. Those tend to be a little hard to come by around my area. The beef stew bahn mi is awesome. Deliciously flavored and soft beef chunks in this oily broth with vegetables and they give you a side of crusty french bread. Oh, so yummy. Their rice dishes and vermicelli bowls are pretty great also. I like the chopped filet mignon that comes with fried rice. Get the three bean dessert at the end. I've been to this restaurant more than a few times, and I've tried several items on the menu by now such as the Special Appetizer Platter, Lemongrass Spicy Chicken, Combination Fried Rice, Pho with Slices of Eye-Round Steak, and Vermicelli with Charbroiled Beef. While all of these items are delicious, my favorites lately have been the Lemongrass Chicken, Vermicelli, and Pho (washed down with some thai iced tea, of course).
