Even on a hot Phoenix summer day, the pho was still worth it -- savory, flavorful, and satisfying. The menu is quite diverse and our dishes did come out in a reasonable time. We ordered the appetizer sampler, #34 Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm, and #72 Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang. There were 5 appetizers on the sampler plate to try - the lotus salad was my favorite, the egg roll was a bit over-fried, and while the shrimp tempura looked delicious, it was a bit too doughy for me. Nice selections, but probably wouldn't need to get it a second time. I feel like it's hard to find Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm at restaurants, but they did it pretty well and I liked the fried fishballs they had as I've never had that before. While the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang came in a decent sized bowl, we would've liked more protein/toppings as there was a bit too much noodles. As we were checking out, they did have fried shrimp chips on the counter they were selling in addition to fried bananas with black sesame seeds sprinkled on top (2 for $5). We brought some fried bananas to take home and wow, that was probably the highlight for the restaurant. Would come back alone for these!!

Atmosphere 4/5 Busy and crowded dining room. Customers who arrived after us were being placed on 20-30 minute waiting lists. Over-flow wait listers were taking patio seats. There were 25-30 tables all occupied. The dining room is crowded with tables but comfortable. We had three in our group tonight. Service 3/5 The restaurant is clearly a popular place for Pho and we were seated but waited for 10-15 minutes before we were contacted by a server. This factor contributed significantly to the waitlisted customers. They were understaffed in the dining room tonight or is this normal? Food 5/5+++ The group ordered: Pork fried rice (generous portion). Beef brisket Pho (generous portion). Beef Rice Vermicelli Egg Roll/Shrimp. Coconut Shrimp starter BBQ pork & Shrimp spring rolls. We didn't order for family style eating but we all sampled each other's picks. My V5 Rice Vermicelli 5/5 was amazing. They leave the shrimp tail shells on so beware if you don't care for the crunch. The The shrimp were beautifully grilled. I rate it close to my #1-rated Scottsdale Vietnamese restaurant. Well done Az Pho & Grill! Pork fried rice 4/5 The rice wasn't fried at all. It was good but not what you typically get when ordering "fried" rice. Still fluffy, flavorful. Brisket Pho 5/5 We all sampled the broth. OMGosh was this amazing. Based on the flavor I'd order this Pho! Coconut Shrimp 5/5 What's not to like about Coconut Shrimp? Typical portion. BBQ pork and shrimp spring rolls. Two rolls sliced to make four servings. They weren't sliced through so separating them destroyed them making them salads vs rolls. The salad as it ended up had fresh and delicious vegetables, larger slices of pork which were perfectly cooked and peeled shrimp were delicious. $96.62 with leftovers for a party of three. We ordered the Stir-Fried Seafood & Vegetables with Crispy Egg Noodles (minus the seafood) and Pho Tai. Food Quality: 4/5 Both dishes were good, nicely presented, and came out quickly. Nothing that caused me to immediately start planning my next visit, but definitely satisfying. Service: 5/5 Quick, efficient, and attentive without being overbearing. Wait Time: 5/5 No wait. We were seated and ordering quickly. Atmosphere: 4/5 Pleasant and comfortable. There was a steady flow of customers, but it was not packed or eerily empty. Basically, the restaurant had found the sweet spot between "popular" and "please do not make me wonder if I should leave." Portions: 5/5 A lot of food for your money. Neither of us could finish our portions. Price/Value: 4/5 Around $15-$20 per entrée, which felt reasonable considering the portions. Cleanliness: 3/5 This is where the restaurant loses points. There was some noticeable Sriracha splatter on the wall, which gave the décor an interesting "action scene" quality. Unfortunately, the restroom situation was more concerning. My girlfriend reported that the women's restroom toilet was not working and was not clean when she entered, leaving her unable to use it. That is more than a cosmetic issue and something management should address. The Takeaway: Overall, we enjoyed our meals. The food was good, portions were generous, and the service was quick and efficient. The steady customer traffic also gave the place a comfortable, lived-in feel without being overwhelming. My only real criticism is cleanliness, particularly the restroom. A little attention there would go a long way. I do not have a specific dish I would tell you that you have to order, but if you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, this place is worth giving a try. Would I return? Yes.

They look worse than they taste to be fair. Then the orange chicken was bland as could be and strange sheets of chicken, not chunks like you'd expect. You can taste whatever they used to bread them. Almost like raw flour or cornstarch or something. The outside of the restaurant looks run down but the inside is nice. The staff was very nice and friendly. The online ordering system was easy to use. I honestly don't know how this place has 4.6 stars. We were super bummed out and now out $55.

I would definitely go here if you're looking for something new or seeking a rarer dish. They also have VERY generous portion sizing, so it's pretty good value. If you wanted something familiar like pho or rice dishes, I personally feel that other places do them better. I have a family member who went separately who said the banh khot (a rarer dish in the US) they ordered was better than the regular Vietnamese offerings. When my partner I went, service was a little slow and distracted. They currently have the World Cup games playing on the TV for both customers and themselves. I don't mind the fanfare around the excitement for the games, but the waiter did get our food order wrong due to the distraction :( The bussed tables were pretty clean, but a lot of tables were left unbussed for a very long time due to the game too. My partner and I went with the meatball and brisket pho and bun thit nuong (except this one came out wrong and was just bun cha gio). Cyclo's pho style is on the sweeter side. I was a little shocked at how sweet it was. The bowl size is huge and comes with plenty of noodles. They don't skimp. My partner's bun cha gio was okay. Cyclo is a little more special in that they put taro in their cha gio (egg rolls). We personally weren't fans of this, but it is unique. The taro gives the filling a slimier texture. Overall, my partner and I wouldn't return again for the food unless we wanted something more new, but we do love how good value Cyclo is.

I decided to meet up a friend here and try it for the first time, and right when we entered we were greeted by the owner. Right off the bat, I could tell the service was going to be great. He was very sweet and helpful, and made us feel comfortable. We ordered the nem nuong rolls, pho ga, and pho tai. In my opinion as someone who grew up eating this food, the food here was okay. The spring rolls could have tasted fresher and the pho wasn't the best; it could have had more meat and onions/cilantro. It was also served with 1/4 of a lime, and when I asked for more I wasn't told I would be charged for it. But that's fine. My husband and I visited at a relatively quiet time and were seated near a group that appeared to be regulars. It was clear they had a great relationship with the staff, which is always nice to see at a local business. At the same time, we did notice a pretty significant difference in the level of attention we received. At one point, when our drinks came out, the server was asked where they belonged. He immediately said, "Two go here," referring to the other group. When asked where the third drink went, the response was, "Somewhere over there, I don't know." It was a small interaction, but it captured how much of the evening felt for us. A few items we ordered also came out incorrectly, and at times we felt a little overlooked. Thankfully, the female owner was incredibly kind and attentive toward the end of our visit and really helped turn the experience around. I'm still giving five stars because the food genuinely deserves it, and I completely understand how valuable loyal, repeat customers are to a small business. I'd only encourage the team to remember that new customers may be walking through the door because they specifically want to support local businesses, too -- and a little warmth and engagement can go a long way in turning them into regulars as well. We would absolutely return for the food, and I hope our next visit gives us the chance to experience more of the hospitality that clearly keeps so many people coming back.
