Pretty good veggie pho. I think the spring rolls were my favorite though. Great service in a clean, comfortable space. The location is convenient and it was easy to find parking. I mean, what more could I ask for after a long day?
This seems to be a order at the counter service. After ordering they told us they had water and tea (hot and cold) in the house. Soon after the pho accessories were brought out. I had high expectation due to all of this but sadly I didn't enjoy any of the items we ordered. Here are the details. -Chicken pho: felt very salty rather than "flavor" -Vegetarian pho: of course worse flavor than chicken and that wasn't great either. Lot of mushrooms and sadly I barely ate it. - vegetarian egg rolls: felt very much like meat roll so so we asked worker and they said no it's not at the front desk rather than coming to look. Even if they may be right, I just wanted them to see what I thought. I eat meat and it tasted and felt like meat to me, which wasn't a compliment from a vegetarian that doesn't like the taste of meat. The Thai tea was okay and my partner liked the Vietnamese coffee.
Came in on a Monday night @8pm 3/30/26. Basically you either go to the register and order your food and be seated or you sit yourself and scan a QR code on the napkin dispenser and order from there. Placed my pho dac biet on my phone. Went to the self serve station to grab my drinks (choice of water or tea). The wait wasn't bad to get my food. Each person gets their individual tray of the bean sprouts, basil, lemon, jalapeño that has a small compartment for your dipping sauce which I think is cool! Pho was good but the brisket was a bit chewy. After finishing, moments later I felt there was a bit much of MSG because i usually have an allergic reaction when I consume too much even my husband said he felt it too. Staff just drop your food and leave. You want something you have to come up to the counter like it's a fast food restaurant. I will probably come back only to try their grilled pork rice plate only bc the customer next to my table had it and the smell from the grilled pork was good.
Nice Vietnamese restaurant located in a big plaza. There's plenty of parking which is great. The shop itself is large, clean, and has a good ambiance. For starters, this is a self dine in sort of place where you order up front or via your phone at the table. You have to grab your own water, condiments, etc. Service is pretty fast though but not a typical sit down restaurant. I got the pork chop broken rice plate and unfortunately it did not come with fish sauce. There was fish sauce at the table but it wasn't your typical fish sauce. I practically used half the bottle. The portion and pork chop was good, though. My husband got the pho with beef balls and brisket. It was good portion and the broth was delicious. Overall, I'll be back for fast and convenient Vietnamese food. Great location.
Okay, so there's a lot to unpack with this one. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was the sign on the door that said "Dine-In Self Ordering." When you walk in, you pick a table and use your phone to order. I was totally fine with that since it gave me the freedom to look at the menu for as long as I wanted. The only downside is that there's really no one to talk to if you have questions. There is a person at the register for to-go orders, but it felt a little awkward standing up to ask. Once we figured it out, we placed our order and waited. A food runner came by to clarify something because I accidentally typed a random word into the notes box, but it was quickly sorted out. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. My husband asked for two glasses of water (since that wasn't an option on the ordering system), and the server let us know it was self-serve. I don't mind serving myself, but I do think it's worth noting--since we seated ourselves, ordered ourselves, served our own drinks, and even cleaned up after ourselves, it didn't really feel like traditional table service. The only thing they did was bring out the food, so tipping feels a little different in that setup. Now, onto the food: I ordered the Combo Rice Plate #1. We loved the char and the sauce they used on all three proteins--chicken, pork, and shrimp. Everything was delicious, and the soup that came with the rice was super tasty as well. My husband ordered the #25 Short Ribs Rice Plate. Again, the char and sauce were spot on. He swapped the salad for extra rice, and they were generous with the portion. Overall, the food was a 10/10. We'll definitely be back to order more of their rice plates and to try the vermicelli plates as well.
This is my go to place for Pho and grilled chicken. This place is very nicely decorated , clean and just has that good vibe. Service is also prompt. Their Pho is really nice. I personally like veggie and seafood pho. Today I had grilled chicken rice plate. I love how they grill chicken. Very nicely done. Flavorful. Plate comes with broth , salad , rice and grilled chicken. Quantity is amazing !! Just FYI- they glaze chicken with some sort of BBQ sauce which tastes sweet to me. I think next time I'll skip that sauce. I enjoyed my chicken with lots of hot sauce on the side Overall I love this place and I recommend!!!
Pho Nation has a great, easy-to-navigate menu--both on the screens and the printed menu, which makes ordering simple and stress-free. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. Plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located in the same strip as Ranch 99. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!
I love eating at this place due to its ample parking, comfortable seating and huge portions. My last order was the rare steak pho. When the bowl came out, my first thought was, "It's huge!" I confirmed that it was a medium even though it looked like a large. The broth was steaming hot, with ample pieces of beef and a lot of noodles. All the sauces like sirachi are at each table. You can order via the QR code on the table or at the counter. Service is good. The ambience includes ample modern seating with booths and tables which can accommodate larger groups and the dining area is spacious and clean. My other favorite dishes are the bbq chicken with rice noodles and shrimp spring rolls.
Great taste abundance of protein great flavors. Must check out this Pho Restaurant you won't be disappointed!
I wish I would've gotten the Bun. Someone got the combo bun and it he meat was delicious. Very well done and had a lot of food. The pho was not good at all. It lacked any depth whatsoever. The service was okay and they were attentive. I don't remember them refilling my drink or checking in, but that's typical of pho places.
I got the number 6. Rare Steak Pho Tai and 36. Thai Ice Tea total was around 23 bucks , I recommend it , I love the taste so flavorful , so far the best pho I've tired in the Bay Area , come try them out , customer service is awesome and friendly ! The 6. Rare Steak Pho Tai medium size was 15.95 and 36. Thai Ice Tea was 5.50
It's a good location with a large space and the staff was nice. The menu sounded good too and I was very interested in trying the pho with the flat noodles. Really wanted to like it, but I couldn't. The pho broth was not there. It didn't even taste like beef broth, I think it was mixed with a soy sauce or something? It's a very very dark color broth. The meat was clumped together, took some effort to separate the meat and push it back down into the broth to cook. Then last but not least, the flat noodles just didn't taste springy and fresh. Just wasn't smooth, more on the doughy side. I would NOT recommend the pho. Maybe the vermicelli or rice plate are better. The drink station was nice though.
I was close by in the area and figured it can't hurt to stop by. I just ordered the number 1 PHO since it seemed like the most popular option. I gotta say, the flavor is great and nothing about It is overpowering. There isn't an excess oil issue, it's good to see they addressed the common overlooked flaw of Pho. TWO PHOS AND TWO RICE PLATES The first time I came here was about a couple of months ago for Sunday dinner with my family. I'm not a fan of pho so I decided to order a rice plate, which was Combo Plate #2 that included one grilled pork and two fried chicken wings. The rice plate I ordered was ok. Even though the chicken wings were cooked inside the meat tasted bland. I wasn't planning to come back here anytime soon. On the menu however I saw a pho item that consisted of chicken quarters. The next time I came here was a couple of days later for lunch. I ordered the pho with chicken quarters. With the addition of the ginger scallion sauce the dish is basically Hainan chicken pho. I've had this type of pho at another eatery and is the best chicken soup I've ever had. Since the chicken isn't shredded, the meat isn't dry. Usually for Hainan chicken I would dip the chicken in the ginger scallion sauce. I did something different for the first time. I added the scallion ginger sauce in the broth. This brought more flavor to the broth. I'd rather have scallion ginger sauce in the broth than sriracha. I'm not a fan of pho. Having the chicken quarters pho provided me a different perspective on pho. When I started having pho I would order get rare steak and beef tendon. What I noticed is that the rare steak changes the texture of the broth, which becomes murky. Maybe that's why I never craved for pho. I find well done beef atrocious. After having the chicken quarters pho I thought why not try the well done brisket. About week later I ordered the well done brisket pho for lunch. From the outset I noticed the broth from the well-done pho is clearer than any beef pho before. How did the broth taste? The broth was the best tasting pho with beef ingredients. I think that has to do with not having raw slices of beef. The blood from the raw beef makes the broth murky. Since the brisket was well-done there was no blood that made the broth cloudy. Also the flavor of the broth enhanced due to the fat from the brisket. The well-done brisket give me a different perspective on pho. Maybe in the future I just order well-done brisket for pho. My last visit I had another rice plate. As I already ordered the chicken leg quarters pho I wanted to try the rice plate version. This dish is Pho Nation's version of Hainan chicken. Even though the scallion ginger was served this dish is different from Hainan chicken as chicken at Pho Nation is steamed and served hot. I ate two phos and two rice dishes. Normally at pho eateries I tend to like the rice dishes more, but at Pho Nation I enjoyed the phos more. If I want to eat pho with a clear yet tasty broth I would come to Pho Nation for either the chicken quarters or well-done brisket pho. read more
Have been to Pho Nation a few times for both dine in and also for to go orders. Location is convenient as it's located inside a plaza with Chase ATM, Tasty Pot, Simply Thai, Burger King, Subway and some other restaurants, Sprouts and some other restaurants -- parking lot is available. You pay at the counter first, get seated wherever is available and they bring your order to you. What I like about Pho Nation is that this location is fairly clean, the noodles are good and so is the broth. What I don't like is the portions are very little, you get very little noodles and meats for the price that you pay. I've had portions for the same size elsewhere and it's much cheaper. I frequent this location when I'm in the area but it's not on my top list for Pho. You get a lot of broth but much less of everything else. read more

I think this is the best Pho place in Newark/Fremont. The food here is so tasty, not overly salty like most places. Fresh ingredients. You order at the counter, and then servers bring your food to the table. The restaurant is nice and cozy and clean, which I love. Not too much to it, but if you don't be careful, you will find yourself ordering more than you should. Were we just hungry?. Lol It's definitely my go-to place for Pho. I tried several other places in the area because, at the time, covid was rampant, and Pho nation stayed closed. Once they opened, this was the place to be. Try it, you will love it. read more

Pho Nation delivered a flavorful and satisfying dinner for our family night out. We ordered a variety of shrimp dishes--the Shrimp Plate was fresh and well-seasoned, the Shrimp Pho came steaming hot with a rich, aromatic broth, and the Shrimp Eggrolls were perfectly crisp. The Potstickers added a nice savory touch to round out the meal. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy good food with loved ones. Was really craving pho and decided to try Pho House for the first time and it did not disappoint! The portions are huge and the food is very flavorful. Also tried the thai tea and it was pretty good! Ordering process was easy, you can sit at a table and order/pay from your phone and then they bring the food right to you. Service was fast and restaurant was clean. I will definitely be coming back :) read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars for taste, service, and vibes. We came in for a quick meal during the week, and there was no wait time at all. You order first at the register and then seat yourself, so it feels more like a casual/take-out joint than a standard restaurant. Utensils and water are also self-serve. Note: the restaurant closes at 8 pm most days. I got the standard pho combo and it came out quickly with all the usual toppings and condiments. The noodles were cooked well, though the broth was a little too salty for my enjoyment. I usually don't add that much lime to my pho but for this dish I had to for balance. The portions were decent; I would have liked a little more noodle in my dish but the meat and veggies were evenly distributed and tasted fine - nothing mind-blowing. I'm curious about their dry noodle dishes so would probably come back to try one, but for pho, there are probably other places that give you more taste for your buck. read more

You know those days when you just want a big bowl of pho? That's what happened. I just wanted some noodles and soup which is rare. Well noodles are getting more attention these days and I always have soup as it's a favorite staple. We were looking for a spot that was on our way home from the city and well Pho Nation was just that spot that was on the way. L O C A T I O N Pho Nation is in the smaller plaza on Jarvis Ave that's just right off the freeway and near Sprouts. There's plenty of parking that's shared with all the shops there. M E N U Basically your typical Vietnamese fare with a focus on pho (of course). We opted to get the #4. Rare Steak & Well Done Briskets Pho Tai Gau and added some beef balls as well as #32. Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls. We did take all of this to go. They did have tables indoors. The pho was great. Warm flavorful and hit the spot. The spring rolls were just okay. I know it says that it's only shrimp but I kind of wish they had some meat in there as well. S E R V I C E We called in our order and everything went smoothly. Also everything was ready when I went in and paid easily with my credit card. O V E R A L L Nice spot to grab a bowl of pho especially if you're in the Newark/Ardenwood Area. I would probably skip the rolls unless you're feeling rolly or wanting to dip something in peanut sauce. read more
Had to grab some food after a nearby restaurant was closed. Modernly designed interior, order at the front. This restaurant had good service. I ordered Pho Combo #1 but the flavor of the soup was not as good as other ones I've tried. read more

Still on the search for a really good pho place that makes bun bue hu. The one here is good but broth needs more flavor and less oil. They do give you good portion size and great amount of toppings but I need more flavor for the broth as that's my favorite part. I always end up drinking the broth at the end. I do however like these noddles versus others I have tried in the past and my bf commented that this one does not offer tendon with the combo which is the first since I have been buying this soup at other restaurants. I would probably come back for other items but I'll have to pass on the bun bo hue next time read more

Nice ambience, clean tables. You seat yourself and order at the front. They have all the essential condiments, importantly the garlic chili sauce! I had the grilled shrimp with rice salad and soup. The soup was bland and too salty. The salad had no dressing. I also has the grilled chicken vermicelli bun, the chicken was tasty. Overall a good place with simple food. read more

We've been looking for more local pho places to give us a little break from the usual and found Pho Nation. First of all, I kind of like the idea of paying first. It allows me to finish my food, leave my tip on the table and get up and leave. I also appreciate having to get my own water, because I'm hella thirsty! I'm always so shy asking for water over and over again. My pho was amazing! I loved all the meat in my dish that I ate that first before filling myself with the noodles. My husband got the grilled pork, fried chicken and fried eggroll. The eggroll was for me! It was so good, we had to go back and add an order of eggrolls on the side. We got there a little before the dinner rush so it was nice and quiet, Monday Night Football in the tv with good music. Can't wait to come back! read more

Open during sheltered-in?
Pho Nation is open from 10am-9pm everyday for takeouts and deliveries only. All customers are required to wear face mask and practice social distancing at all time. Thank you for supporting and understanding.
How does tipping work here? Since patrons pay upfront, the guy at the register said to "skip the tip section" but I already selected a % tip before he finished his sentence. Are we not expected to tip since water/tea is self-service...?
i don't tip on computer but once i finish eating, i leave some $ on table...
