TWO PHOS AND TWO RICE PLATES The first time I came here was about a couple of months ago for Sunday dinner with my family. I'm not a fan of pho so I decided to order a rice plate, which was Combo Plate #2 that included one grilled pork and two fried chicken wings. The rice plate I ordered was ok. Even though the chicken wings were cooked inside the meat tasted bland. I wasn't planning to come back here anytime soon. On the menu however I saw a pho item that consisted of chicken quarters. The next time I came here was a couple of days later for lunch. I ordered the pho with chicken quarters. With the addition of the ginger scallion sauce the dish is basically Hainan chicken pho. I've had this type of pho at another eatery and is the best chicken soup I've ever had. Since the chicken isn't shredded, the meat isn't dry. Usually for Hainan chicken I would dip the chicken in the ginger scallion sauce. I did something different for the first time. I added the scallion ginger sauce in the broth. This brought more flavor to the broth. I'd rather have scallion ginger sauce in the broth than sriracha. I'm not a fan of pho. Having the chicken quarters pho provided me a different perspective on pho. When I started having pho I would order get rare steak and beef tendon. What I noticed is that the rare steak changes the texture of the broth, which becomes murky. Maybe that's why I never craved for pho. I find well done beef atrocious. After having the chicken quarters pho I thought why not try the well done brisket. About week later I ordered the well done brisket pho for lunch. From the outset I noticed the broth from the well-done pho is clearer than any beef pho before. How did the broth taste? The broth was the best tasting pho with beef ingredients. I think that has to do with not having raw slices of beef. The blood from the raw beef makes the broth murky. Since the brisket was well-done there was no blood that made the broth cloudy. Also the flavor of the broth enhanced due to the fat from the brisket. The well-done brisket give me a different perspective on pho. Maybe in the future I just order well-done brisket for pho. My last visit I had another rice plate. As I already ordered the chicken leg quarters pho I wanted to try the rice plate version. This dish is Pho Nation's version of Hainan chicken. Even though the scallion ginger was served this dish is different from Hainan chicken as chicken at Pho Nation is steamed and served hot. I ate two phos and two rice dishes. Normally at pho eateries I tend to like the rice dishes more, but at Pho Nation I enjoyed the phos more. If I want to eat pho with a clear yet tasty broth I would come to Pho Nation for either the chicken quarters or well-done brisket pho. read more

Have been to Pho Nation a few times for both dine in and also for to go orders. Location is convenient as it's located inside a plaza with Chase ATM, Tasty Pot, Simply Thai, Burger King, Subway and some other restaurants, Sprouts and some other restaurants -- parking lot is available. You pay at the counter first, get seated wherever is available and they bring your order to you. What I like about Pho Nation is that this location is fairly clean, the noodles are good and so is the broth. What I don't like is the portions are very little, you get very little noodles and meats for the price that you pay. I've had portions for the same size elsewhere and it's much cheaper. I frequent this location when I'm in the area but it's not on my top list for Pho. You get a lot of broth but much less of everything else. read more

This seems to be a order at the counter service. After ordering they told us they had water and tea (hot and cold) in the house. Soon after the pho accessories were brought out. I had high expectation due to all of this but sadly I didn't enjoy any of the items we ordered. Here are the details. -Chicken pho: felt very salty rather than "flavor" -Vegetarian pho: of course worse flavor than chicken and that wasn't great either. Lot of mushrooms and sadly I barely ate it. - vegetarian egg rolls: felt very much like meat roll so so we asked worker and they said no it's not at the front desk rather than coming to look. Even if they may be right, I just wanted them to see what I thought. I eat meat and it tasted and felt like meat to me, which wasn't a compliment from a vegetarian that doesn't like the taste of meat. Nice Vietnamese restaurant located in a big plaza. There's plenty of parking which is great. The shop itself is large, clean, and has a good ambiance. For starters, this is a self dine in sort of place where you order up front or via your phone at the table. You have to grab your own water, condiments, etc. Service is pretty fast though but not a typical sit down restaurant. I got the pork chop broken rice plate and unfortunately it did not come with fish sauce. There was fish sauce at the table but it wasn't your typical fish sauce. I practically used half the bottle. The portion and pork chop was good, though. My husband got the pho with beef balls and brisket. It was good portion and the broth was delicious. Came in on a Monday night @8pm 3/30/26. Basically you either go to the register and order your food and be seated or you sit yourself and scan a QR code on the napkin dispenser and order from there. Placed my pho dac biet on my phone. Went to the self serve station to grab my drinks (choice of water or tea). The wait wasn't bad to get my food. Each person gets their individual tray of the bean sprouts, basil, lemon, jalapeño that has a small compartment for your dipping sauce which I think is cool! Pho was good but the brisket was a bit chewy. After finishing, moments later I felt there was a bit much of MSG because i usually have an allergic reaction when I consume too much even my husband said he felt it too. Staff just drop your food and leave. You want something you have to come up to the counter like it's a fast food restaurant. Okay, so there's a lot to unpack with this one. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was the sign on the door that said "Dine-In Self Ordering." When you walk in, you pick a table and use your phone to order. I was totally fine with that since it gave me the freedom to look at the menu for as long as I wanted. The only downside is that there's really no one to talk to if you have questions. There is a person at the register for to-go orders, but it felt a little awkward standing up to ask. Once we figured it out, we placed our order and waited. A food runner came by to clarify something because I accidentally typed a random word into the notes box, but it was quickly sorted out. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. My husband asked for two glasses of water (since that wasn't an option on the ordering system), and the server let us know it was self-serve. I don't mind serving myself, but I do think it's worth noting--since we seated ourselves, ordered ourselves, served our own drinks, and even cleaned up after ourselves, it didn't really feel like traditional table service. The only thing they did was bring out the food, so tipping feels a little different in that setup. Now, onto the food: I ordered the Combo Rice Plate #1. We loved the char and the sauce they used on all three proteins--chicken, pork, and shrimp. Everything was delicious, and the soup that came with the rice was super tasty as well. My husband ordered the #25 Short Ribs Rice Plate. Again, the char and sauce were spot on. He swapped the salad for extra rice, and they were generous with the portion. Overall, the food was a 10/10. This is my go to place for Pho and grilled chicken. This place is very nicely decorated , clean and just has that good vibe. Service is also prompt. Their Pho is really nice. I personally like veggie and seafood pho. Today I had grilled chicken rice plate. I love how they grill chicken. Very nicely done. Flavorful. Plate comes with broth , salad , rice and grilled chicken. Quantity is amazing !! Just FYI- they glaze chicken with some sort of BBQ sauce which tastes sweet to me. I think this is the best Pho place in Newark/Fremont. The food here is so tasty, not overly salty like most places. Fresh ingredients. You order at the counter, and then servers bring your food to the table. The restaurant is nice and cozy and clean, which I love. This is my go-to spot for pho! I only eat veggie pho, and they've truly perfected it. I've been coming here for years. I'm not sure if they changed ownership recently, but they used to include bok choy in the veggie pho which I loved. It looks like they've switched to broccoli, so please bring the bok choy back! That said, the broth is still incredibly flavorful and hearty for a veggie pho, and I appreciate that they offer different noodle options. The veggie selection overall is great too! I would give this place 3.5 stars for taste, service, and vibes. We came in for a quick meal during the week, and there was no wait time at all. You order first at the register and then seat yourself, so it feels more like a casual/take-out joint than a standard restaurant. Utensils and water are also self-serve. Note: the restaurant closes at 8 pm most days. I got the standard pho combo and it came out quickly with all the usual toppings and condiments. Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls. We did take all of this to go. They did have tables indoors. The pho was great. Warm flavorful and hit the spot. The spring rolls were just okay. Good food not great now. When it first opened the food was good and the price though hefty was worth it given the quality and flavor. Fast forward to yesterday I placed an order for spring rolls and pho and the lady on the phone didn't even know what I asked asking for . The spring rolls (#32) on your menu I had to repeat multiple times and she still seemed clueless. I was shocked. It's fine, I think because the phone can be muffled, it's loud in a kitchen, etc. I walk in to check for my order to pay. Say hi to the short little dude with the tattoo'd arms and he looks right at me, no hi or hello, no acknowledgment and walks away. He also carelessly slowly cleans a table while the queue behind me grows. Un-freaking-believable. I cannot Recommend this pho spot any longer. When I want pho, I'll be driving elsewhere for it. They do give you good portion size and great amount of toppings but I need more flavor for the broth as that's my favorite part. I always end up drinking the broth at the end. I do however like these noddles versus others I have tried in the past and my bf commented that this one does not offer tendon with the combo which is the first since I have been buying this soup at other restaurants.
