    Fried Tofu

Popped by here for dinner with the family on a cold Sunday evening. When you walk in it's a very casual vibe but neat and clean. The place was pretty packed, but we managed to find a table. We ordered a variety of items. We have to go over the menu and put down our choices on their note pad, which was convenient as we could take our time to pick out our food. We ordered a couple of appys and mains. Food was served pretty quickly. Everything was fresh and tasty. The Tofu and spring rolls were absolutely fantastic!! My husband enjoyed the beef pho and every one enjoyed their own dishes. For the finale, we ordered the Vietnamese coffee which is super intense and made with strong coffee and condensed milk. So delicious!! Overall a decent joint for trying out Vietnamese food!!

I'm pleasantly surprised by this little spot! As you first walk in, you will notice that the decor is a little outrageous for a little pho joint in a commercial plaza. Banquet hall chandeliers in a quick-bite pho spot? Umm... The unnecessary grandeur aside, the quality of the food is pretty great. We ordered the House Special XL bowl of pho ($10.75) with some Spring Rolls (2 for $6.00). I initially couldn't understand why the pho was so cheap, while the spring rolls were so expensive for only two pieces. Take a look at the picture--it speaks for itself. The House Special came with beef, beef balls and tripe. The broth itself was flavourful and not overly salty, which is always a plus. The spring rolls were definitely the highlight! They were generously filled with pork & taro and served with some fish sauce. The service was also quick and pleasant--as it should be. The food came two minutes after we ordered. We were in and out within 40 minutes. My biggest complaint is that the spoons smelled like bleach. Every single one! I ended up with a dozen spoons on the table, just because I was trying to find one that didn't smell like bleach. No luck! I get that the utensils have to be clean, but BLEACH? No, thank you. Would I return? Maybe. I would just have to bring my own utensils.

Interior. Chandeliers are so pretty! Everything is so clean and nice!

Always excited to try a new pho place, especially when it's local! The place is actually really pretty. I guess that fact that it's still new and everything is still clean and pristine helps too. First of all, they have a WIDE selection of food on their menu. It was almost TOO many things. Despite that, my friend and I both ordered the pork chop and chicken on rice (R7). This came out in record timing. I'd say it took about 7 minutes for the food to come lol, no joke. The food came with a side soup aka pho broth. I liked this touch. My usual pho place doesn't do this, so this was a one up for Pho Mi 66. The pork chop was good and the chicken was even better! Again, the chicken here was better than my usual spot. The meat portions aren't pinch either. I was definitely full. Will for sure come back! This will be one of my regular pho joints. Prices are on point too! So cheap!

Came here to grab a quick lunch and boy did the food come fast! I ordered the medium pho sac biet ($8.75). Now I usually would order a small but I was feeling extra hungry! However when I got my food I noticed the portion is quite small compared to other pho restaurants it looked more like a small. Not much noodles or beef, came with 2 ball beef balls but lots ifThe broth was flavourful and doesn't seem like there was much or any MSG as I didn't have to drink a lot of water after eating it. Restaurant looked nice and appeared to be clean but I did see some dirty spots at my table.

I've probably driven passed this place over 100 times and finally gave it a shot. The interior is one of thr nicest I've seen for a pho place, and it does make the dining experience a little more interesting. The food would hold up regardless imo. Came here on a Thursday evening around 7 with four adults and a baby. Happened to be seated in the corner booth which was nice. Menu has a lot of choice and pho comes in different sizes (can't remember which one we ordered but it was huge and we were able to share). I tried the Beef Stewed with Egg Noodle Soup - Mi Bo Kho (but subbed rice noodles instead). Broth was flavourful, had a bit of spice to it, but the best beef stew noodle I think is from Pho Pad Thai in Markham. The Special House Beef Rice Noodle Soup - Pho Dac Biet "66" is as good as many other pho places around thr city, and we tried some grilled pork and chicken vermicello dishes. I really liked the grilled pork, moreso than the chicken, which is surprising because I find that some places overcook the pork and it ends ul being dry - not here though. If you're unsure, I'd go with the Grilled Pork Chop and Chicken on Rice or vermicelli to see what you like the best. Spring rolls are worth a try too!

Loved everything about it. Food came fast. Loved the pickled Habanero sauce. Pho is decent. Didn't see bun bo hue on menu. Spring rolls are fantastic. ---------update------ Came to this place again. Really loved it again. Clean, high ceiling, really attentive servers. Found Bun Bo Hue this time. It is soooo good. Had the grilled pork rolls A1 and they were so fresh and flavourful. Almost had half jar of picked Habanero. Very authentic dishes. Officially my favourite pho place in GTA!

Service was good. Phõ was tasty. The fresh roll was big but not great. Fried roll was good. Clean place including the washroom.

    Great hot sauce selection!

Had dinner here last night and the food was warm, flavorful, and quick! I couldn't believe how fast my Tom Yum Noodle Soup came out of the kitchen. It tasted like it had been cooking for hours. The menu is extensive and so is the hot sauce selection. Pickled chilies, sambal, sriracha, homemade garlicky chili oil. My friend got the curry chicken and that was flavorful, too. I'd definitely come here again if I was in the area.

V4. BÁNH CANH XÀO CHAY THÁI LAN Vegetarian Stir Fried w/Udon Noodle "Thai Style"

The inside aesthetic is non-existent. The food looks delicious but is lacking in taste. Ordered the veggie udon noodles which had a weird smell. The menu also didn't state the udon noodles came with egg, whereas for the other dishes it was specifically stated. Food comes in very large quantity however. Tea was complimentary, but one of the tea cups was dirty and didn't look like it was cleaned after prior use. Would not recommend for vegetarians.

Pros. -Food was good -lots of parking -everything was clean and tidy -quick service -washrooms were clean -quick checkout Cons. -the server was topping off the condiments while I was eating. Reaching across the table -the serving for the drinks were a bit small. 3 bean dessert

Front desk, typical of pho joints.

Just checked this place with the wife and kids, been open for one week. If your familiar with the many pho places around the GTA this place is no different. Many Vietnamese dishes alongside the pho offerings with a extensive Thai menu as well. We ordered the bbq pork with egg noodle soup, along with grilled chicken pork and rice. Last dish we ordered was the satay chicken which was really good. Service was fast and efficient, while food while did not blow me out of the water was good enough to warrant a return visit.

Hello fellow foodies today I bring you an outstanding review for this Thai restaurant…read more Today during this horrible snow storm I 1/17/2022 I was reminiscing about my travels to Thailand, how nice and warm that country was and how amazing Thai food really is!!  So I had to get me some Pad Thai today! And ladies and gents was I ever glad I stopped into this place to grab some takeout today. After reading great reviews on Freshly Thai I had to drop in and grab some of their authentic Thai cuisine .They sit in a  free standing building almost in the downtown part of Brampton just on the north side of Queen St and the Main Street crossing. They have a huge patio for summer and plenty of seating on the inside. They do dining-in and takeout but under the current COVID restrictions there are some limitations. They claim to be fully authentic, gluten friendly and vegan friendly for those that require those options. There menu is quite authentic loaded will many options, from appetizers, salads, soups, noodles, curries, and some of their specialty dishes. Food 5/5 The "Pad Thai" was just phenomenal, just absolute fire! As authentic as the Pad Thai I had in Thailand! Rice noodles were freshly made not from dried frozen stuff you typically get, I mean this dish tasted fresh made to order, not reheated. It had a slight perfect sweetness to it with a hint of pepper heat, you could taste the sweat onions the green onions, the crispy bean sprouts with hints of basil, it was seasoned to perfection, I opted for the chicken Pad Thai, The chicken was very generously mixed into the rice noodles good thick cut pieces, perfectly tender and seasoned chicken. Just delicious, it was a decent size portion for one person but it was so good I probably would have fished two portions of it. It had a wonderful balance of flavour and textures from some of the crispy veggies and bean sprouts to the soft perfect rice noodles. Great dish! Service 5/5 The food was made fast, the service was very friendly and the price was within reason for this quality of food. Presentation was also very nice. Guys and gals if you're in the area and you want the best Thai food Brampton has to offer this is one of the places you must stop in to try.

They had people sitting in places that didn't normally have seating! The food was delicious. For starters we have the calamari($13.99). It was lightly battered & came with a plumb sauce for dipping. Very tasty. For the main, we shared. Had the Chicken Pad Thai ($20.95). Keeping with the theme, it was delicious as well. Final dish was Thai Egg Fried Rice ($20.95). Just like the rest of the dishes, it was very tasty. Finally for dessert we have the Butterfly Tea Tapioca ($8.00). It was warm & super delicious and a 100% do over as well. The staff was very polite & delivered good quality service.

Disappointing Experience at Thai Barn Na Restaurant…read more Thai Barn Na restaurant is our go to place to celebrate our Birthdays. Always totally satisfied and impressed with the Waitress that is usually working. We never had a problem until Thursday December 4th This experience fell short of the expectations, we will not be returning. We are no longer going to promote Thai Barn as a" Hidden Gem". This location should be allocated for takeout only. Customer service is lacking in front end personnel. Our upset was a result. From past experiences, we were astounded that the $16.00 Margaritas were incredibly short. We were regulars and knew what to expect. We poured one drink into one glass. The Margarita was still an Inch from the salt ring. She came out with another of the same size. We celebrate birthdays and have been Regular CUSTOMERS for several years. When we pointed this out to server, she claimed that these were not the correct glasses. She was very rude, consistently arguing and did not try to soften the situation. We walked out! Never did this in our lives, walk of a restaurant in our lives. We were fortunate to get a reservation elsewhere and had a wonderful time despite the earlier disaster. They made over $300 sales plus tip, and we had the loveliest server. Thai Barn Na needs significant improvements in customer service. If she had not continued to argue the same thing she really angered us. Not once did she suggest she would take the drinks and offer an alternative, instead adamantly continued to argue with us. Perhaps this location would be better suited for Takeout only. It is unfortunate that it is necessary to write this to you.

The restaurant had a constant stream of customers and was constantly 80% full during the lunch period. We ordered the mango salad, Khao Soi (chicken), pineapple fried rice, Thai basil stir fry (chicken) and taro sticky rice for dessert. Originally, we wanted to order Khao Soi with beef, but was told beef was not available. I was honestly bummed as it is my go-to protein for Khao Soi, and we were there at the start of the lunch period. I really appreciate that they have a wide range of spice / spicy level. Since all 4 of us can't really eat spicy food. The mango salad had a good balance of flavour - not overly sour with the dressing. The Khao Soi curry / soup flavour was decent, I do wish it was a tad bit thicker so more of the soup can cling on to the noodles and chicken. The soup would probably cling on to the chunks of beef better! The pineapple fried rice was definitely a nice and homey dish. It wasn't oily and had a decent amount of ingredients. Love the presentation of this dish - with a quarter of a fresh pineapple! The Thai basil stir fry was nothing memorable. However we were surprised it came with a bowl of rice, which we packed home as there was too much food! We originally wanted the mango sticky rice, but was told it was unavailable as mangos were not in season - understandable as we came late fall/early winter. Since someone in our party really wanted dessert, we ordered the taro sticky rice to share. It was a big enough portion (super filling) for 4 of us to share. I'm usually not a dessert person (as I have a low tolerance to sweet food) but I found the sweetness of this dessert acceptable. Coconut flavour was strong. Servers were super nice and attentive!
