I loveee pho Peter most of the pho spots I go to are in north York area or scarbrough this is a so close to where I am in Brampton and it's a great spot. The staff are so nice and fast with getting you seated and being out water the place is clean and very spacious lots of seating options around for diffrent group sizes. The food is great the quality speaks for itself the broth is very flavourful and the menu has an array of options for everyone's pallet. There appetizers are a great start everything I've tried from them has been a hit and it keeps me coming back. read more

This is our go to spot for Pho/Viet food in Brampton! Super fast service, freshly made to order and open late when you want a quick bite or have some sudden cravings. We usually come here all the time for their Pho, but today we switched it up! Got two things we don't usually order, their fried rice (64) and PadThai (169). Both options were flavourful, and not too oily. These 2 dishes will definitely make our choice difficult next time we visit for our usual pho. What a sad n fake looking Bún bò Huế, no hint of spicy n lemongrass at all, meat toppings are pretty much like a regular pho, some of them chewy n got a funny tasting to it. Sizing wise, supposedly this is a Large but it's comparable to a Medium bowl at other pho restaurants, would not recommend. They have many signs around restaurant stating it's CASH ONLY. 3.5 Stars: 4 Star Pho - 3 Star Entrees. So I've lived by this place for years and hadn't tried it until last month. Perhaps a bit unfairly, but I didn't trust the Pho in Brampton. But one evening my wife was wanting Pho bad enough and wanting it fast enough that we ordered. We've since gone back another time. Both times I went with a rice and meat special. One time was a spicy chicken (I already forget the specific flavour) and the other was sate beef. Both were ultimately okay but nothing special - and the sate a bit more disappointing since the peanut was not evident. But the pho was quite good. My wife really enjoyed it but I also got to have a taste both times and it was tasty. A nice rich taste to the both and nice and clear. I wouldn't have ordered well-done beef, but it was my wife's choice and she was happy about it. I know my wife will be continuing to order the pho from here and from my experiences that's what I'll start doing too. read more

Awesome in every single way. The Pho broth is delicious and the chicken wings are particularly unique! They cut the chicken wings so they have more surface area and are crispier overall. We've probably come to this restaurant over 50 times in the last 5 years, so do give this place a shot. The family that runs it are very nice. read more

Hello fellow foodies today I bring you a food review for a vietnamese restaurant tucked away in a small plaza on the west side of Kennedy just north of queen st. Seems to be a family run operation . I decided to stop in today after reading some great reviews on there food. I was specifically looking to try there curried chicken and steamed rice dish but I also ended up ordering there pork and shrimp fried spring rolls . Now the review! Food 5/5 I was very impressed with the suble but very flavorful asian style curry flavour . You can tell that the chicken was marinated in this wonderful curry marinade for a long time because the color and flavour was right through and deep into the tender chicken thigh meat ..the chicken was sauted with some nice crispy onions and covered in that wonderful curry sauce . They also gave me an extra small container with more of that amazing curry sauce to pour over the rice or over the chicken really nice bonus and made the meal extra saucy . The portion size was very generous and large I actually had to finish it in two meals as it was alot of food. Now the fried pork and shrimp spring roles were also amazing really packed with ingredients the pork and shrimp and a soft light crusty shell .they were for sure top notch and up there as far as fried spring roles go that I have had Over all great tasty food well made well seasoned and generous portions I was very impressed. Service 5/5 i called in my order and it was no more then 8 minutes by time i drove there to pick up my order and it was ready for . My family and friends used to go here a lot... a lot. Like if we wanted pho, no discussion, this is where we went. I used to love their pad Thai, spring rolls, and everything else. We would even order catered dishes from them. They were just the best. We stopped going for sanitary reasons. My dad went to the washroom one time and came back looking like he says about to puke. He said he saw a glimpse of the kitchen and there were flies everywhere, landing on everything. It takes a lot for my dad to get grossed out over food prep sanitation. For him to say no to this place, it must have been that bad. I'm not going to describe what he told us as it's really disgusting and the thought of it alone now is grossing me out. We got up from our table and never came back. This was a few years ago and to this day, we won't step foot in that place. It's kind of sad, because they make the best spring rolls in my opinion, and I miss it. Unfortunately, I can't get the image out of my head the way my dad described it. I spotted Pho Peter while driving around Kennedy rd, I was craving soup so I decided to give this restaurant a try. This hidden gem is located in a small plaza on the corner of Church and Kennedy. The inside of this restaurant pleasantly caught me off guard, the unique decorations, plants and lighting made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Pho Peter is located in a rather sketchy plaza across from a high school, so I can imagine this place gets busy during lunchtime. I came just after the lunch rush where there was only 2 tables occupied. There's not much in terms of decorations, and the lighting is a bit dimmer than usual. But hey, in these establishments you come for the food, not the ambience and decorations! I ordered a small banh canh cua, which has become my standard for authentic Vietnamese places that serve this item. Similar to other Vietnamese places, I rarely order pho unless there's no other options as it's something that's hard to screw up and I rather try the more exotic items. Anyway, their speed is quite good and I had my food within 5 minutes. The crab broth was a bit oily, but I definitely didn't feel any MSG-like taste, so I guess the water content was a bit low. Either way the noodle was done quite well, slightly chewy but not to the point where it's overcooked (banh canh is easy to overcook). Price point was excellent, less than $10 for my food. Service was also very good, although it took a little bit of time to get a server since she was in the kitchen when I arrived. Just don't go to the washroom, but then again Vietnamese places aren't known for sanitary washrooms. read more

Definitely not to be considered to be a good tasting pho. There wasn't much meat given either. As for service, we raised our hands to ask for water. I really like the food at Pho Peter. I usually get the lemongrass chicken and some vegetarian rice paper rolls. Really flavourful and fresh, and when I ask for spicy they make it spicy. Always a big plus! My husband usually gets one of the specials that comes with a meatball and some mince (shrimp?) on a piece of sugar cane. Sadly, I do not remember the exact menu number, but it has a tasty variety of meat and plenty of noodles. Anyway, their food's great, but the reason this gets three instead of four stars is that the service ranges from acceptable to dismal, from reasonably friendly-but-slow, to downright surly. Its proximity to home, good prices, and comfy (if kitschy and outdated) interior make it a regular spot, but I definitely do NOT go there for the service. read more

FINALLY tried this place after years of driving by it. Been on a bit of a Pho kick lately, trying all the major places here in Brampton (Pho Mi 99, Pho Dau Bo, Saigon House, and now Pho Peter) and Pho Peter is definitely quite good. Their spring rolls are insanely delicious, and PACKED with filling. I have never seen such large spring rolls at any of the Pho restaurants I've been to, and they definitely deserve an honorable mention. The pho is tasty, meat looked of good quality, but had to take a star away because the broth is quite cloudy. I am not a pho expert by any means, but most people say the best pho broths should be clear, which is a good indicator of a slow simmered stock that takes quite a bit of time. Pho Peters was already a dark brown color when it arrived. However it tasted great, and again, love those spring rolls. We will definitely return. read more

I ordered rice noodle soup with rare beef and well done beef. There was no rare beef packed in my order. I looked for the meat in the bag until I realized it was already in the broth. They gave me tripe and well done beef. Broth is mediocre not enough flavour. I also ordered an iced coffee, which was off...Almost tasted chemically. Would not recommend the Pho. read more

Ah I've been going to Pho Peter for about 10 years. I love this little place. Atmosphere: nothing special. They did upgrade the tables and chairs a few years ago to something you would see in an older dining room. You definitely aren't going to sit there for hours and hours. Food: I love the food and it's always fresh and cooked the way I ask. I usually get the shredded pork vermacelli. I think it's #37. I ask for the pork to be well-done and salad on the side. Lately I've also been getting this dish that's udon noodles, in a coconut sauce with shredded pork or somethign on top. I don't know what it is but I love it. Their Pho is great too. I especially love the fresh and fried rolls. Service: It's a family owned place, husband and wife. When I first started going there, their son was just a wee thing. I don't see him around anymore cause he's all grown up. They recognize me when I go in and comment when I haven't been in awhile. You serve yourself if you want beer, from the fridge, they don't mind. It's a VERY casual place and the service is very speedy. You won't be waiting for your food very long. I had lunch at Pho Peter today. I had the Vegetarian Pho with fried Tofu and my husband had the Spicy Pad Thai with chicken, shrimp, and egg. The Pad Thai was spicy and flavourful. It was delicious and it was a lot of noodles for $9.95. My Vegetarian Pho, which was supposed to be a Large looked comparatively to other Pho places a small bowl. Despite the size, the soup was flavourful and I did not add any hoisin or hot sauce to either of the dishes. I am so happy this place is within walking distance of my home. I would visit this place again. This place does not get my full five star because I was put off by the decor a little bit, but it is still a nice place to visit. read more

I like going to this place but it is easy to be turned off if it is your first time here. The interior could really use an update. It is run by a family and they are always good with service even though their English is not great. There are other Vietnamese places in Brampton but this one gives big portions and the food is tasty from the things I usually order. This is the best pho you can get in the GTA. I have been going here for over 10 years. Not a chain, so the food is always amazing and has a home style quality. The portions are HUGE, and so delicious. This menu is also large with tons of options like noodles and curries as well as tons of soup options. I personally love the fresh and regular spring rolls, the pad thai with chicken and shrimp, and the Wonton soup with egg noodle. You will not be disappointed with price and quality of food. The decor is a little funny but the food outshines any decorating job they could have done. Having grown up in Markham and Scarborough, I know a thing or two about decent pho. This pricing of this place is cheap to eat but so is the quality of the food. The broth had little taste and there isn't much meat in even the large size. I can't really understand how this could be considered among the best pho in Brampton unless the other reviewers haven't try much pho elsewhere. PS - The bathrooms are gross like a restaurant out of China town, I would try to hold out on tinkering until you go somewhere else. read more
