Food was hot and fresh. The Restaurant was clean. The pho had pretty good flavor. This was my 1st time here and I would try it again.

I love the pho here and I used to like the eggrolls, not sure when they changed their traditional Vietnamese eggroll recipe to all cabbage and carrots but I won't be getting those again. These things do not take forever unless you brand yourself as a start from scratch cooking. Once a favorite spot, now the vibe is just dead. They also do not do the Vietnamese coffee setup like before. So..expect a low quality service mix with unfriendliness. Price increase on your P8, P9, P12 in a smaller bowl too. The chicken wings and dumplings were crunchy and flavorful, and pho was to die for! The only thing I'd change is the strong apple flavor in the broth. I realize that is how it's made traditionally, but it took away from the meat and savory flavors. The staff was friendly, attentive and the food came out relatively fast for how busy it was. paid $50 for the oxtail pho with tendon and a pho tai bo vien and a coke. Serving size was small compared to the price when comparing to other restaurants i've been to. Quality was okay and service got me what i needed but wasn't asked if we needed anything else like refills or another drink. We waited 30 minutes for our food. Easy parking lot close to the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I noticed plenty of indoor seating. The bathroom was clean and ambiance is good. The food was outstanding! We had pho with three types of meat. On a cold night, it was everything to make one feel cozy. Flavorful, healthy, and plentiful. The ambiance is sort of shaggy but it looks like they have plans for upgrading. The owner came over and was kind and gracious offering delivery if needed. No wine though.... read more

The veggie pho is the dish of choice every time I visit! I love the veggie meat and tofu in it along with the vegetables. Quite a few tables were left not clean when choosing a place to sit, but it was not busy. There is a parking lot on the side of the building, so no problems there! read more

The pho here is fine, not mind-blowingly good or anything but will satisfy a craving. But I feel this way about most of the pho I find around STL. I struggled to find any information about Pho Long's menu or hours online for the UCity location. It's $17.99 for a bowl of pho dac biet, $14.99 for one of the more basic bowls. Two spring rolls (goi cuon) will set you back $7.99, which pains me to write. I don't know if the drastic increase in prices is due to inflation, the costco development, the new location's rent, or all of these factors... Service was very bare-bones. I wanted to take pictures of the menu for Yelp, but the server took them away very quickly. Pho broth came out hot. You get all the standard garnishes. You can sit anywhere you want and menu and water will be brought out to your table. Ordered Pho and it was no where close to impress me. The prices have gone up a lot and I personally feel like the quality isn't matching to the price at all. Portions are small and the Pho brought was just average. Went there for a team lunch. It has ample seating. One thing we noticed is the server is not very conversational. Not sure whether that's a cultural thing or he really hates his job. . We ordered fried chicken dumplings and the special pho in beef broth. Nothing to complain other than the price and I'm not sure whether that's because of Costco and rent. One thing I noticed is they have chicken soup noodles (chicken broth ) an alternative to beef broth which is not common in most of the Vietnamese restaurants. i traveled 20 minutes from the STL airport via Uber to eat here, and being disabled I also travel with my fully trained service dog. I was "greeted"?by the manager who told me I couldn't eat there with my service animal. I calmly told him it's against Missouri statute to deny me service because I require a service animal. He still refused. Their prices were so high, I was better off going elsewhere anyhow. People with service animals avoid this "restaurant" to avoid embarrassment. so long, pho long! read more

We drove from St. Charles to try Pho Long, and was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety on the menu. My husband did not want Pho so he ordered the Hu Tieu Xao Men Do Bien, which is a seafood stir fry, he really enjoyed it. I ordered the Pho Tai Chin, with sliced eye of round beef and beef brisket. The flavors were popping and very savory, only downfall-not much of the meat, could have had more. We enjoyed the fried tofu with the mouth watering peanut sauce, I could have eaten along. Hole in the wall spot with limited seating and fantastic pho. The pho are huge and have lots of meat in them. I ate my whole pho, but was totally stuffed after and regretted doing so. I ordered P12, or beef belly Pho, and it was flavorful and had large chunks of high quality meat in it. I didn't have to add any spice or additional sauce. My GF ordered V2, or veggie meat pho, and she loved the fake meat (it tasted like a potato pancake). We also split an order of spring rolls (without pork) and it was fair. It came with 2 rolls. I got the P9..Pho Con Ring Chau Tien : Pho Long Chief special soup w/eye -round steak, well-done brisket, tendon, Vietnamese meatballs and oxtail. If you want lots of protein in your Pho, I suggest getting this P9. My bowl was loaded with proteins. They only protein I didn't care much for was the Vietnamese meatballs. I like the kind back home that has the tendon mixed with the meatballs. It could us a little fish sauce but I just left work and was starving and wanted less contact even with my waiter. There's nothing that I crave more after a day of snowboarding than a bowl of pho. At the recommendation of a friend who is a local, I decided to check out this place. I love it because it's quaint, unassuming, no frills. The pho had good flavor with a hint of star anise (I would have loved a little more). I appreciate that the accoutrements came with all of the different types of mints that adds so much flavor to the broth. There's nothing worst to me than when one of the types of mints is missing. Tldr: this is a solid pho restaurant honestly, I would recommend if you are looking for good price, quality, and quantity. Beginning with the environment, it's a typical casual vibe with pretty good seating, but not too much. Service was average. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night at 8pm. Onto the food, I ordered the combination pho ($10.95) and was happy to see it was a relatively large portion (bowl was around 7 inches in diameter if that helps with visualizing at all and pretty deep bowl). It also had an appropriate amount of noodles and meat to go with the large bowl size and amount of broth. The broth, however, is the reason why I leave a four star review. It was solid, quite savory, but not as savory as the broth at dao tien. However, overall, given the cost, quantity, and quality, I recommend eating at this place if you want to fill your pho crave and come out feeling full. read more

Centrally located on Olive, this used to be my go to place for Pho. After returning to this establishment I don't know what happened but I'm so disappointed . The spring and egg rolls remain to be rather tasty. They even have options to switch out the protein in the spring rolls which is a great option for people with seafood allergies or simply don't eat seafood. Pho: P2: The brisket meat for me was for sure the most delicious part of this meal. It was well seasoned and practically fell apart in your mouth. The amount of noodles is also more than your typical pho place. The broth however, is what didn't work out for my personal taste palette. The broth did not have the hearty, comforting meat flavor and had a rather sour feeling as well. This is not my preferred way of eating pho but if you prefer a more tangy broth to savory this might be the place for you! read more

Finally! After moving from Orange County, CA, the pho mecca, I have found pho that parallels what I left behind. I have not liked the pho anywhere in STL yet until coming to Pho Long. When we arrived at 11:30, the place was already packed. I'm not sure if everyone was just seizing the cold rainy day or if this is usual. Those who showed up closer to 12 waited for 15 minutes or so. The broth was great and there was a generous portion of meat. I learned to next time ask for extra noodles as i finished my noodles quickly with meat left. The spring rolls did not measure up to what I'm used to from a restaurant known for spring rolls (I've been spoiled) so I won't order those again. No big deal- I can live without them. Came here again recently and it still tastes amazing! The service here is great too! Even though we had to order take out, the wait for the food didn't take long at all. Though the portions did seem smaller as compared to dinning in, the food was delicious nonetheless. Parking in this area is super convenient too! Usually the P8 is my "go to" for this place [Pho Dac Biet], but our server recommended couple new items to us. The "PS" and "P12". The "PS" is what you all must get! The broth is so much more tastier and heartier with their beef rib. My friend got the "P12" which had beef belly and was delicious as well. Realized theres not much to say about Pho...except just go get it!! I love that they open on Mondays! Sucks they close on Tueadays! Avoid going between 3pm to 5pm because they are closed! The true downfall! I crave hard for Pho on snowy days, but they close earlier when that happens, which I totally understand...but call them and ask before attempting to drive there.
