Pho Leo serves up some delicious pho! The location is in an older strip mall next to a pawn shop and is a huge space. The menu has a good variety of noodle soup, rice dishes and spring rolls. I also liked how they had daily specials printed on the front (Today's special was oxtail pho). I deliberated between a vegetable pho or bun bo hue. Veggies or beef? My meaty tendencies won out and I went with the bun bo hue. Our meals came out in a short amount of time. My bowl looked amazing! It was filled with a lot of brisket beef, tendon and flank steak and had copious amounts of green onion and thinly sliced red onion. The soup was hearty and full flavored. Even the tendon had a lot of infused beef flavor in it. The broth was very spicy too. My nose started running and I was nearing tears trying to drink all the broth. Hurts so good! Service was friendly and water was filled as needed. It did take some time for our server to come over and process our credit cards once he delivered our check though. I had also requested my soup as a regular size but I actually got a large size and didn't realize it until I was already a good portion into my meal. Five stars! (Thankfully, because I had to bring a customer here) The place was very clean and we were seated immediately and asked our beverage order. I noticed they have a full bar which is the first time I e seen that at a pho pho restaurant. Didn't order drinks, just soup. I had the small vegetable with only tendon and no noodles. The chunks of tendon were huge and very soft. The soup was piping hot and had a great flavor. They offer sriracha and oyster sauce I did request hot chili paste, which she happily provided. My roommates and I love this place. However my "love" is somehow sarcastic. It is true that the prices here are cheap. However, the soup is very salty. Asians don't eat that level of saltiness because we're heathy. I often order to-go. Because with to-go, if I buy two bowls of Pho, I can get 4 bowls out of it with extra noodles and water to add to the soup, making it less salty. My roommates, who aren't Asians, think this level of savory is the right level. I haven't been back for a few months already so I don't know how the savory changes. Nonetheless, because it is cheap. I'm so sad to write this review. This was our go to place for phó. We ordered takeout today and when got home from our 25 min drive, I get home and dig into this cigarette. I was so disgusted I called right away and they said "oh sorry next time order is free". I made quan give me a refund. He ordered small and could not finish it all. I got a pork dish that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Everything taste so fresh and was presented so nicely. They use a lot of mint leaves in their food which tasted good but it's on the side so you can add it. Mine was under the heading of noodles and it was number n32. Located in the Gilbert / Mesa area. Construction on the street is still ongoing. Big parking lot, plenty of space for parking. Outside looks more like a hole in the wall. But the inside is super spacious and looks like it used to be a bar and grill restaurant. Clean environment with dim lighting. Maybe three to four workers for the whole place. When you walk in, make sure that they see you are in so they can come and assist you. Otherwise if they are in the back, they won't see you. Food I got the spring roll and pho Tai Spring roll is $3.95 Pho was $9.75 for large Plentiful amount of noodle. They are not Cutting back with it in the large bowl. I like the thin sliced beef that they have over here. The beef is actually a pretty good quality. The thin sliced makes it even better, as opposed to other places that has the thick and lower quality beef that gets chewy overtime in the broth. The broth self is also decent, lots of red onions that bring out the sweetness to it. Again, you don't get the medicine bag broth over here. At least it doesn't taste like it. The broth hits the spot on a cold day and also especially when you are sick. Comes with the regular side of bean sprout, jalapeno, and lime. Overall decent pho for the right reasonable price. As for the spring roll, it's about average to other places. Nothing spectacular. Comes with two pieces cut into four bites with a side of the peanut sauce. Peanut sauce was done right. Inside the spring roll has the shrimp pork lettuce cilantro and maybe mint. Service was pretty quick after they see that you are a new customer. The waitress was really friendly and attentive. Restroom was clean as well. They do have a shower curtain that separates the urinal from the toilet. Interesting but whatever works. This place will probably be my go-to pho place for now. When you get the chance, ask what their specials are for the day -- last time we were there on Thursday 4/29, they had lamb chops, beef rib pho, and many others. Good seasonings on both thit nuong and tom nuong, they only give me like 2 small shrimps, also I wish they have other veggies selection for this dish because they serve the veggies like it was vermicelli noodles, which now I've seen for the first time for the rice dish. Last but not least, the stir fried tofu and eggplants with garlic sauce was good. Lots of flavors. Service was ok. When your not a local but want to have good Pho, you have to try this place. Broth was flavorful and the portions were huge.

The ambiance is old and dark. The food is very good and prices are very reasonable. But holy crap the service is trash. The lady running the whole front area didn't look like she was having a good day. I got my own table. Got my own menu. After waiting and not seeing anyone for a bit. Then she proceeds to tell me to move to another table after she saw that I existed. Then her attitude taking my order was just bland, this is after I had to go find my own menu. She basically just dropped the food at the table when it came and that was all. I had to go up to the front and wait to pay the bill. Then go up to get my own to go containers. This place is just ok. I'm not quite sure why it averages 4.5*s. I brought my brother here for his birthday because he wanted pho and I wanted to try something new. We ordered 3 waters; one without ice. All three came with ice. Then we ordered a regular size chicken pho, a large special pho, and a bun bo hue. Both of the phos were large and we were charged for large sizes which were a $2 upcharge each. My brother and fiancé commented that both of their phos were salty. The bun bo hue did not come with any of the vegetables like shredded cabbage or young banana shoot, blood cubes, meatballs or pork's feet that it normally comes with. We couldn't finish two of our bowls and asked for Togo containers. They charged $0.29 for each of the containers. I understand that they are just covering their costs but they should've told us. I'm leaving a 1 star review today because the experience I had here deserves a 1 star. I ordered the thai tea boba and it was not good. The boba had wrinkles and made me spit it out. Then I had the firecracker shrimp for starters and it was actually okay and the eggrolls. The eggrolls were so bad that they're the reason I had to get up leave. They tasted old and has a weird smell to them. I told the short female server and she looked offended. I told her that I only want to pay the shrimp and Thai tea I had and she said okay. My boyfriend brought me to Pho Leo today as penance for waking up cranky and taking it out on me. It was 2pm on a Saturday and there was only one other party there. Service was fast and friendly, full of suggestions and tips. We ordered chicken eggrolls to share, oxtail pho with rare beef for me and Leo's special #1 with an added egg for him. We also tried thai tea for the first time. Boyfriend's egg was so fluffy and delicate and unlike other pho joints the egg was still runny and all the meat was perfectly seasoned. The shrimp was cooked to perfection! He literally did a happy dance as he ate his food. My pho had sooooo much meat! Two pieces of oxtail and easily 8 slices of rare beef! The broth was delicious! The eggrolls were crispy and yummy. I wasn't a big fan of the tea but not likely due to execution. Hailing from San Diego, I love me some pho while he tolerates it.
