Ordered their chicken lemongrass ban mi & bone marrow pho. The food isn't so traditional Vietnamese and the prices are definitely on the high side. The food is good but wasn't "wow'd" particularly given the price. The place is big with modern decor, and the service was pretty good. Probably wouldn't come back but glad I gave it a try.

Went here for lunch after reading good reviews about it. The place was pretty empty for prime-time lunch, but the ambiance is cute enough to make up for it being rather deserted. Our server Reggie was attentive and gave us some extra shrimp-crisps when I told him that I grew up with these and absolutely love them. I have not seen them anywhere else in a restaurant yet, so I was super pleased that they served them at every table. Now, the food itself was ok but the Pho Chay with fried tofu that my vegan friend ordered and shared some with me, was pretty bland. Even after adding some chili oil, just not much flavor to it. Of course, it was vegan so no bone broth or anything was used, and IMO that was not worth the almost $20 we paid for it. Fortunately my friend liked it ok but I was not a fan. I ordered the Pho King Banh Mi , which has shrimp and porkbelly. The protein was delicious as was the presentation. The bread however was too soft and got soggy easily, and there were not nearly enough pickled veggies on it. Could not taste any of the pickled veggies (carrot and cucumber) over the overbearing cilantro taste. My suggestion would be to leave the cilantro off and serve it separately as well as the jalapeño, not everybody appreciates these veggies (I don't and I would have said to serve them on the side if I would have known). I wish they offered a half pho/half Banh Mi as a lunch special but they unfortunately do not. They don't have any lunch specials. So overall, not bad, just not great either.

First of all, I am a sucker for a great pun. So they literally had me from the get go. There was a mix up with my to go order. By the time I got home I noticed that 2/3rds of my order was still back at the restaurant. When I called expecting to just get a refund, they offered to drive the order out to me! I don't live close but they insisted it wouldn't be a problem. They made a fresh batch of the order and delivered it within 10 minutes. It's a bit of a gamble to order Pho to go. It usually doesn't stack up to having it right there in the restaurant. But I was surprised at how delicious their pho was. It was also PERFECTLY portioned. You just pour the broth into the bowl of noodles they supply and it all fits so perfectly. I am so excited for this new addition into 5th street. Looking forward to having many meals there.

We had the Pho King Special with meatballs, beef and this donut atop. I had the Beef Pho Tai. It was expensive. There was a beef bone served in the Special. They do have the most desired hoodie on campus for 40 bux. All in all I enjoyed the outdoor ambiance on the second floor of the Fifth St Market. The salad rolls were bland w a single shrimp apiece.

It was our first time in this evening. Everything was lovely! The ambiance was nice and pleasant...I personally loved the flowers everywhere. The food was so good! Delicious. The Cha Gio' (fried spring rolls) were very flavorful and the texture was extra crispy, I loved them! My partner and I shared the Pho King Special, the best pho I have had! The bone marrow was yummy, such a nice addition, and the flavors were delicious! It was a great size for sharing. We also shared the Pho King Bahn Mi with lemongrass, pork and shrimp, which was very tasty as well. The service was great! Khalil was very kind and knowledgeable of his family restaurant. His recommendation on one of his gin cocktails with citrus, chile, and lemongrass, has become one of my new favorite gin cocktails! Spice was nice! It was such a lovely experience, can't wait to go back again and again!

The food was so delicious! Big portion sizing and the pork belly is so so good! As well as the service, our waiter was very welcoming and chatty! We sat outside in the sun and it was truly a perfect place for lunch!

The pho broth was the best with lots of meats and perfect noodles. Also the bun was fresh, lots of flavor. Service was friendly, food delivered quickly, We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Chicken salad, Pho and lemongrass chicken sandwich were AMAZING! Best Vietnamese restaurant in Eugene!

It's just ok. I'm from the SF Bay Area, South Bay to be exact so I'm used to authentic Vietnamese pho. If you are too, then this place is not for you. Clearly paying for location and ambience, and good service, but idk if I'd go there again for the food.

Been here a couple times since it opened, amazing banh mi, haven't found another spot in Eugene that compares to their banh mi. Salad rolls weren't my favorite as a prefer the proportions to be a bit different myself, but the peanut sauce was still really good. I recently tried their pho but i'm not sure that I would get it again unless my other spot was closed. The amount of onions in the broth was excellent but it lacked flavor. Plus their was less noodles than I was expecting, the bowl was mostly broth, I anticipated more especially for the price. I do like the decor inside, and it feels more open compared to the place here before but the high beat techno music honestly kills the vibe for me. Service is quick and all of my servers have been really sweet, one told me about the owners journey for finding the right bread for the banh mi and think they found the perfect one.

Not gonna lie the food did not hit. The service was great and the vibes were cool but it all comes down to the food. The pho was sooooo bland insanely bland should I say, the banh mi helllaaa expensive it was small for what it was and kinda salty. The bun was nottttt good the actual bun itself (the noodle) was hard and was kinda a day old. I'm not even biased cus I'm Viet but it was not heat. The spring roll was meh like it was good but you can't really mess it up, not a lot of protein in it though. The only thing that carried was the wings. The wings I do admit were pretty good

Excellent banh mi. Perfect balance of flavors, filling and light crisp bread. Crushed it! I'll return regularly for that deliciousness.

The veggie banh mi had a good amount of avocado and was flavorful and filling. The small spicy beef pho was pretty good. It came with a couple of fully cooked beef slices and the broth had some chili oil in it. I like my soup spicy, so I was happy to see that there was a self-serve sauce bar with extra chili sauce and chili oil. I wish they also had hoisin sauce, sriracha, and chili oil that looked fresher. For the toppings, they had cilantro instead of the Thai basil that I'm used to, but it tasted fine since I like cilantro. Some tables were a bit dirty, and it looked like they hiked up the prices of the dishes compared to the photos of the menu on Yelp. The combos were over $20. The service was fast. We received our food within 10 mins of ordering. Was filling, satisfied my pho craving, and served as a good pick-me-up before walking around the rest of downtown.

I asked about his chef/s and he said they were mostly Vietnamese. So I will definitely try the Viet dishes on the menu next time.

I went in expecting a quick bite and left wondering if I should cancel my flight and commit to a long-term relationship with their menu. The service was the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit: attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You know, the sweet spot most places miss by a mile. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: polished enough to feel like you made a good decision, but relaxed enough that no one's judging you for aggressively enjoying your curry. Now, the portions. Let's just say I arrived hungry and quickly realized I had made a tactical error by also having a flight to catch. The plates are generous. Borderline ambitious. Under different circumstances I would've happily taken half of it home. And the price? Genuinely refreshing. You get high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service without that subtle sting of regret when the bill arrives. It feels almost suspiciously reasonable. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. We got seated right away at a booth with a window view. My waitress was an older Asian lady. She was very nice, not too talkative, but she was on top of her things. I was craving soup and decided on the highly recommended tom kha with tofu. To start, we had thai tea, thai coffee and the shrimp triangle. For our entrees, we decided on the pad see eu (they spell it pad se eu here), panang curry. The shrimp triangles were very yummy. Definitely get those. The thai tea and coffee was good, but just a little watered. I expected the taste to last in my mouth for a little bit. But it didn't. For the soup, I was excited to taste the soup! It smelled really good and it was boiling hot. My thought after my first sip of Tom Kha was, ok, this is good, they got it, but it just wasn't quite there. I couldn't pinpoint what was missing. Then I figured out that they didn't use full coconut milk. It was just a little bit and it was the lighter version. How disappointing! I wanted the robust tang, spice and coconut like how I have at home. The entrees made me sad. I really, really wanted to love it. The panang curry should be rich, thick and creamy. Instead it was soupy. I was really expecting and wanting the curry to stick to my rice, but instead it made soupy curry rice. My daughter pointed out that the curry and the tom kha soup was the same color and consistency. I didn't want to believe, but I think they used the same base and added the appropriate toppingss and seasonings to make a soup and a curry. My saddest dish was my last one that came out. It was the pad se eu. The wide rice noodles was wet and in broken pieces. I'm Asian and I'm from Vegas via Hawaii which means we have a lot of Asian cuisines, we know our food and have friends who work in high end Thai restaurants. (Think Lotus of Siam) When rice noodles break into smaller pieces, it means the noodles are probably not fresh and got hard. To soften, the cook used extra water and the heat was not high enough to cook, so it stuck to pan, making the cook mix it around more...broken wet noodles that doesn't brown. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has potential. Maybe it was an off day but on that day I went, it didn't give me the wow I expected. Most of the items has the taste on point. Please don't water down the curry or use lower fat coconut cream. I'm not used to having regular brocolli in thai food either, but I guess this is what Eugene likes or what we can get. And people, share your food! Thai food is family style! Share it! Put it in the middle of the table and let the other person have some! I was people watching around my table and my table was the only one that didn't have our own entree per person. lol
