Shrimp P10. Pho Bo Vien, K02. Spring Roll Shrimp

Perfect lunch spot! Food is ALWAYS great and comes out quick! The spring rolls are so yummy and the shrimp pho is always a hit! Parking lot gets really busy during lunch time due to the amount of businesses in this small area but worth it!

This is the perfect lunch spot. The are polite and very fast with their service and the food. The restaurant is clean and ready for quick turn over of tables. The portions are large and we loved everything we ate. I think my favorito was the bok choy and the stir fry noodles. We'll absolutely be back, thanks again.

Vermicelli B01. House Special Combo with Rice Vermicelli
Raymond N.

Came here for lunch but ended needed to order the food to go as I was in more of a rush than I anticipated. So I went to the counter to place the order for my lunch. I ended up order the vermicelli house special and the vermicelli grilled pork. Coming from a household that grew up on this type of food I was expecting the house special to include the traditional Vietnamese items. To my surprise I was shocked at what was included in the vermicelli house special. I probably should have read what was included instead of just assuming it would be traditional items. When I opened my to go box to my surprise I had similar amount of protein as the order with just the grilled pork. I had a mixture of some chicken, some pork and 2 pieces of grilled shrimp and one egg roll. Needless to say, I was disappointed. On to the taste of food, The vermicelli was awful, it was hard and tasted uncook which I feel like is difficult since you just had to boil them hot water. The egg roll tasted bitter from some parts being over fried/burnt. The grill pork tasted okay and the shrimp was severely overcooked. Wouldn't recommend coming back

D03. Vietnamese Beef Stew Special. Very tasty
Randy D.

Came in since it was right across from my hotel and I could walk over. Nice inside, very clean and looked new. Was greeted right away an offered a menu and some water. I almost always get the same thing but like to look to see what they have before deciding. Got my usual beef stew and the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash it all down. Beef stew was very good, lots of flavorful broth, carrots and onion. Beef was a little chewy, not the best cuts but tasty Spring rolls were awesome, fresh and delicious. Peanut sauce was thick and yummy. Iced coffee was good, pre are, not the dripping in a glass of ice you get at some places but good. Service was good, friendly and efficient

P02. Chicken Pho with G03. Thai Tea with Boba

Solid choice for doordash in Carlsbad area. Pho was not salty which i liked and tasted good and healthy. Enough meats and veggie garnishes. Could also save and reheat for next day. Enjoyed thai boba as well!

The inside seems like it can use some updates. As for service, they were attentive however the food was okay. Really the Vietnamese coffee was the only thing I enjoyed.

Pho

This is the worst pho we have ever had. I would give it zero stars if that was an option. My wife and I ordered a veggie pho with beef broth and a beef pho to go. Immediately we knew something was wrong. It was definitely off and tasted like it had gone bad. The noodles were chopped up like grains of rice. Who does that to noodles? Defeats the whole purpose of ordering noodles! Not only were the noodles in tiny pieces... They were extremely mushy. It was like eating slimy mashed potatoes. We couldn't even take a second bite and had to toss the whole thing. Left us feeling sick to our stomach. Do not waist your money here. Really terrible food And a complete waste of money.

And when that happens, it's usually a piping bowl of ramen or pho that will answer my body's asks, so I checked out this place! This restaurant is in a strip mall a few blocks from the pier (ok maybe more like a 15 min walk) literally next door to Sunshine Kitchen. Sunshine Kitchen had a lot of diners inside and out, and I felt a little FOMO while I stuck to my decision to eat at Pho Bowl & Grill. They have two tables for outdoor seating and since no one was sitting outside and the temp was nice enough, I asked to sit outside. No problem for the guy taking care of me. He was the waiter, the guy answering the phone, the guy making sure take outs/deliveries were happening and cashier, and he got it all done! What a magician. He was pleasant enough as Asian service is about getting down to business so he took my meatball pho and diet Coke order and got to work on it. Meatball pho was delicious and piping hot and the side veggies were all fresh and abundant. Meal was very casual, I ate and slurped in peace and then went inside to pay. Great, low key spot that makes good pho. Id definitely return.

The portions are a great size for 1-2 people, and they are very quick to deliver. The restaurant is spacious and the staff is very friendly! They have a "challenge" where u can eat a giant bowl of pho in under 30 minutes, you get the whole thing for free! They also give coupons out for your next use if you pay in cash It is the best pho in town with great portions!

Broth is rich, clean, and comforting (perfect after a morning walk on the beach). The spring rolls wrapped in rice paper are light and crisp, and I love that you can customize your pho exactly how you like it. Staff are super friendly and the place has a nice, casual local vibe. If you're around Leucadia or Solana Beach and haven't checked it out yet, do yourself a favor...your taste buds will thank you!
