The service used to be good here. A week ago I called in an order. I was told 15-20 mins. I get there to pickup order but the person who took my order forgot to put my order so I have to wait another 15 mins. Today I tried to call in an order, dialed 5x but no answer. I walk in to place an order and waited for 10 min to put my order, only to be placed behind another person behind me who's picking up who just walked in. I already waited that long!!!! Why would she attend to the person who just walked in line behind me before taking my order?!?!? That's RUDE!! I was just so tired after a 12 hr shift that day that if I escalated it, I would have lost it. I just asked them if it's under new management or the new employee has caused their service to decline. This new young girl is always confused and disorganized that makes their process a raucous. She actually mistakenly charged a couple my more expensive order and charged me their less expensive order because this new girl is so disorganized. Why don't you know about Pho Hoang yet? I'll fill you in...Because it is brand spankin' new! Like so new that the walls don't even have soup spray on them yet. Not even any crust in the corners where the wall meets the floor. Recently erected in a pristine Publix plaza, however the Vietnamese community knows this place exists. Word spreads fast. Since we tried this place on a Sunday afternoon, it really started to get crowded. The servers are not ready for the rush yet, which causes the kitchen to get backed up. There was also at least one crying baby at any given moment. Sometimes one crying baby would stop crying to figure out what was wrong with the new crying baby that just arrived. So, we were entertained while waiting for the food. For the temperature of the dining area, it is just uncalled for. Seriously, I went over to the advanced AC display gauge on the wall that even had an LCD display that could tell you your horoscope--- they have the temperature set on 82 degrees knowingly! I feel bad for the servers and kitchen staff more than anyone else because they are running around all over the place. For the food, well it is straight to the point damn goooood. This is one of those hands-down, no messin' around joints: 1. Only two appetizers on the menu- Goi Cuon and Cha Gio 2. Entrée menu has various meat choices on only three dishes: pho, cold noodle bowl, rice plate (no fried rice, lol OMFG) 3. House specialty is Bun Bo Hue--- real deal style, containing blood cubes and trotters 4. Pho comes in three sizes from baby to Xe Lua 5. Hoisen sauce is not watered down Complaints: 1. I have been back a few more times since my last review. Now, they are back to being great! They have expanded to the next room sometime last year. This greatly helped. COVID; They have reopened for dine-in! We have been here for dine-in right before they closed down during COVID and after they were opened back up. There is nothing on the tables anymore. No napkins dispensers nor no sauces. They will provide those to you. What I really enjoy about their broth is that it is not overly beefy. So, if you're not keen on beef/meat, the broth won't be strong for you. The summer rolls are soooo good! read more

Nice, little spot in Brandon for Vietnamese food & has some great Pho!!! Also, they recently started serving Boba Tea & their options are great! The decor is nice & simple, & the service is excellent! Some of the most polite wait staff. Only decided to give 4 stars because although the service was perfect & the food was on-point, it wasn't truly a WOW experience. Doesn't appear that much capital was invested into this establishment, in comparison to other Asian restaurants I've visited. But that's not to take away from there food & quality of service. They have the best soup- Pho inBrandon and Lakeland area. Their combination Pho is always my favorite. My wife loves their grilled pork chop. Their service is fast. In an average, you get your order in 5mins. The place is clean. Although hard to find in gps. Service is friendly and one of their wait staff always smiles. This pho had a great flavor! I probably would've put a straw in the bowl and drink it if no one were watching. Within the dish-- the meatballs had a good seasoning to them, the steak was pretty ordinary, the onions had the perfect crisp and freshness, and omg there were so so many noodles! I put some sriracha in mine to make it burn a bit, but this place really delivered the PERFECT amount of spice! It was crazy busy so the service was spotty, but overall I really enjoyed the food. What I liked: Pho Hoang is within 5 minutes of my workplace, making it a really convenient lunch spot. The restaurant takes up two rooms, so there's ample seating available. The staff members are very friendly and personable, especially with returning customers. I picked up from surrounding conversations that several people are regulars and come in quite often. As for the menu, I tried the Grilled Spring rolls. They were absolutely delicious. The Chicken pho was pretty good too. Nothing too special. I did like that they offered different sizes (small, medium and large) and they didn't skimp on the meat portions like other nearby places. Now onto what wasn't so great: Expect to be here quite a while. Service is rather slow and sometimes the waiters are unattentive to newbies. My server brought my bowl of Pho to the table at 12:20 pm and did not come back to check on me until after 12:45 pm. At that point, I had been out of soda and my mouth was sorta on fire and I was getting annoyed. Also, speaking of soda, they bring it to you in the can, which is fine, however, it is kept at room temperature so when I poured it over my ice, it tasted a bit flat. I also made the mistake of ordering some Pho broth to go, so I had to sit there an additional 20 minutes waiting for them to pour the broth into a container. I finally had to flag down a server to check on it. Apparently they had forgotten to bring it out to me so it just sat out on the counter in the kitchen. They were nice enough to pour me a fresh batch and apologized, but again, semi unprofessional and time-consuming. Bottom line: If you're on a time crunch, maybe skip Pho Hoang, or make it very clear that you are on break and must get in and out within the hour and if you do wish to order food to-go, place the order early on so it's not holding you up. When I got my bill it was there . I asked for it to be removed and all that was removed was the $2.95 egg rolls. Best pho in the area. Majority of my favorite pho places are located in Tampa but I wandered out a bit to try this one. The actually restaurant is a bit small so if it is packed it can seem crowded. The food on the other hand is absolutely amazing and I love the fact that they have a variety of combinations for pho. Well .. what can I say. I want to say something nice and change my review to a higher star but I can't. Again the service is very slow and restaurant wasn't even busy during lunch on a Monday. While we were waiting for our food. Customers Cain in and waiting a little bit before they got seated.. now keep in mind this place is not busy plus they have about 5 servers here today. I wAtch they sit a guy down at a table and no one even take his drink Order or speak to him so he got up and left. It was very sad. Anyway.. on the good note.. my pho BROTH was delicious . Been in this place multiple times and when dining in, never had a problem. Ordering delivery is a nightmare. The first time we ordered, the egg rolls came over cooked and weren't edible. The second time they forgot our meat that comes with the pho. If they make a mistake it's pretty much too bad unless you want to drive to the restaurant to pick up a corrected order, after already paying an large fee for delivery. They'll also call you a liar by asking you how it was missing since the cooks confirmed everything was included. Could've been like a simple fix of crediting the wrong order back to you or offering some sort of credit or even a discount on your next order. But no. Just "come get the new correct order". Okay. Decent food. Slowest service I've ever experienced at a Vietnamese place. Viet food is supposed to be fast food. In and out. Every single time I order pickup they tell me 30 minutes and I get there after 40 min to give a time cushion to their benefit. I end up sitting and waiting for the food for another 15-20 minutes. I've eaten in here and asked the waiter what beer they have and he didn't even know if they had beer. Ever heard of training? Place is almost comical. I went to get some Pho on a study break. The broth was good, I decided on getting the meatball and raw beef mixture. If you like spices, ask for a side of there spices to make it a little more flavorful. The bean sprouts, basil etc looked fresh. There wasn't much of a selection just banh mi, bun, noodle tray, pho.
