Good tasting pho and prompt service great for a quick asian meal - never get tired of it

I ordered the fried rice with chicken and beef. This dish was bland and the meat was super dry and over cooked The waiter acted like she was in a hurry, even though they were not busy, perhaps 2 other customers in the entire place.Sje didn't try to suggest customer favorites or anything like that. I ordered the stir fry dish with beef to-go and I couldn't even eat it. When I opened the container it smelled horrible. I decided to still try it and it tasted spoiled, the beef was so dry and tasted very low quality, and there were several hairs in my dish as well. I had the sliced pork vermicelli bowl with egg roll. The egg roll was quite tasty, hot and went down too fast since there was only one. The vermicelli bowl was actually tasty except what really brought it down for me was the fact that the meat that came with the bowl was cold, not warm, like cold from the fridge. There's something about cold meat that doesn't do well with my pallet in terms of texture and taste. The other oddity, for me, is that there were very little noodles and mostly sprouts and lettuce. My thought is that somehow the meat got overlooked and getting heated up because I've never had a vermicelli ball with that cold of meat in the bowl. read more

First, summer is when Pho Garden must run on bare minimum staff. With kids out of school, the parents go with them to more fast food places. Having worked in restaurants myself, I am shocked at the food cost, even the bulk purchases are very high. Leases are going up, up, up. So, with kids back in school, Pho Garden is looking for some extra employees for fall / winter, their busier time of the year. Decent location, right off Horizon & I30, or from Ridge Road. Plenty of free parking near entrance. Smallish place, 20 small tables, staff can combine tables for big party. This is not Kyoto, nor Panda Xpress, it is a small traditional Vietnamese kitchen that also served Thai style dishes. I arrived at end of lunch hour, 50% capacity, and people picking up their takeout orders. I had the grilled Shrimp, and Pork combo, with steamed rice, big slices of veggies, shredded carrot & daikon garnish. This was a good plate of food, prepped and cooked properly, about $2 over similar Panda Xpres offering, and better quality. Looking foward to the cooler weather, and steaming bowls of curry, or pho! I absolutely love the food! The Pho is delicious!! But beware when they are busy. I have been here about 8 times in the past 2 1/2 weeks. I've had a good experience but I've come during the week when they weren't busy. I placed a To Go order and ordered double chicken and double jalapeños .. they gave me the normal amount that I usually get with a regular order. And when I said something to them about it an attitude was caught. I've worked in the food industry for a long time so I know it can be stressful when busy but know that if you are paying for extra for something you will not get it. We ate here last night around 7. There were a couple of tables eating when we arrived. The servers were attentive, and the food came out in a decent amount of time. The decor was very basic, so it was not a romantic date type of place. It was interesting to see a very diverse menu when the name of the place gives off a Vietnamese/Pho only vibe. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai Combo, and the Shaken Beef. The flavors were good, I wouldn't say the best I've had, but good enough, I would consider coming back to try other things on the menu. read more

I like this place but $18 for Pho??? For noodles... Really??? I asked for extra lime and siracha and was told it's an extra $2.. i feel like that's a lot for noodles and a couple extra slices of lime but paid it because I wanted soup and this is the only soup that sounded good at the time... did I get the extra lime.. no.. do I ever get extra lime without having to remind them.. no. As the only pho place in the city, I feel like this place is great. I ordered the choose your own pho option with flank, brisket, and steak. Unfortunately the pho was alright. The broth was decent and the meat was okay. In my opinion, the portions are huge especially if you get the extra large. However, I would like to stress that if you live far from the main populous cities and you don't want to drive far for pho, this place is good. The owner is very sweet and kind and was very caring towards the customers. Parking is plentiful and inside has quite a homey feel to it. I have high expectations for a lot of spice and lots of chili oil but I know cannot expect that same intensity everywhere I go. The vermicelli was lacking a spicy and flavorful kick I was looking for but it had enough to satisfy my appetite. There was too much lettuce and not enough noodles. The tofu spring rolls were pleasantly delicious with their peanut hoisin sauce that was also really good. I asked for chili oil, hoisin and sriracha to go, but only received chili oil and hoisin. I love the Vietnamese eggs rolls! Pho Garden stands out from other places to me because they use real peanuts on top of the peanut sauce. It adds a great crunch to the spring roll. I also had the salad, it was enough for two meals for me. The dressing that comes with it also pairs really well the ingredients. My first time at Pho Garden I didn't know what to expect, but was surprised to find there was healthy items on the menu. The workers are nice and friendly, The food was delicious and fresh they will bring out fresh vegetables for your soup. The ambiance is nice and pleasant there's even a fish tank too near the bathrooms, piano playing in the restaurant and 2 televisions, one playing tv shows and the other with beautiful views. A quaint family run pho shop in Rockwall. They've got a big menu of all different types of pho noodle bowls and banh mi sandwiches. I'm not dreading the winter months as much anymore, now that I know I have a one stop shop of warm things. Most people order out, but Pho Garden includes a nicely arranged seating area. Remember to pay at the counter, when you are finished! I got the ribeye pho bowl. It comes with the traditional heapfull of bean sprouts and herbs. Spicy pepper sauce is at each table for broth customization. I was a little disappointed that my bowl finished faster than expected, but I am excited to try all the other delicacies.
