Is this place for real!? Well here's a WARNING!! The food is one the worst food that we ever had. I don't mean to be an A-hole about it but I had to say or stop people from getting sick. This place needs to have a serious inspection and If I had the power I would shut them down without any hesitation. How dare you serve food like this? I never write reviews like this until I we went here. My wife and I just left the hospital and she is 36 weeks. After all the places we visited this place did it. She was sick instantly and it's not the fact that it left you with a horrifying after taste but there's a huge possibility that you will find yourself in the bathroom. She is doing okay now so far but the hospital said it was something she ate. Well it didn't take an astronaut to figure this one out! Garlic wings was nothing but salty garlic. The soup noodles were extremely soggy. Drinking cups were filthy. The seat and tables are scratched and torn all to hell. Seriously? This place had 3 strikes and they're OUT in my opinion. First time I came here, it was fine. Had great service, tables were clean and available when you'd walk in, and kitchen was prompt and polite. After a few more times coming here, I started having terrible service. You'd have to find limited tables available that were dirty and sitting in a booth was never an option. So you'd choose the tables, and then deal with foot traffic. The servers have gone down hill, incredibly to the point of no return. People who sat after me were getting served before me, and the party at my table would be served and I had to wait 30 MINUTES from sitting down to finally get served my Pho. The servers don't seem to care when I arrive here. When my man asked the server where my meal is, I haven't been served yet, he seemed lost and all he said was, "I know". No apology, no explanation, and walked away from us. When I FINALLY was served, I went off on him and told him that it had been 30 minutes to get my food since I sat down. He didn't say a thing, didn't ask us how are meals were, and avoided us the rest of the time we were here. I guess we could've just walked out without paying since we were invisible. This server looks like a bulldog, he has a disgusting sternum nose ring and underbite. He's tall and terrible so avoid him at all cost! We have had nothing but terrible customer service the last 3x coming here and I'm officiallydone with this place. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They have so many staff members but they are consistently confused. It never fails, every time I come to pick up my order something is wrong. It's so bad I now know to check my order before leaving. Recently I sent one of my employees to pick up some lunch while I was working a 12 hour shift. Not only did they give my employee the wrong food, when I called to tell them, the young lady said she was already aware. Nobody ever called to tell me so that maybe my employee could have turned around to retrieve the correct food. I called and said I had no way to come back to get the food and could they void the charge on my charge. Not only did they make me come back into the store because "they wanted to see the food before refunding the money" but after waiting for 30 minutes for a refund, I was notified nobody knew how to complete a refund except for the owner. Here we are 2 days after the encounter, still no refund or replacement of food, and I'm told the owner will call me whenever he happens to come in. I am in disbelief and the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. Definitely will not be coming here again. read more

I love Pho D'Lite! I come here once a week. The food is tasty and a great pick-me-up when you're not in the mood for fast food or a long sit-in kind of meal. So the decor is nothing special and the staff is underwhelming, but the pho is delicious. I had the veggie pho with chicken broth. Everything was delicious, portions were very generous and the price was more than right. Great spot for a quick lunch. read more

I ordered P1 or Pho D'Lite. It was okay at best. The pho here is good only if you have never had authentic pho before. The best dish was our appetizer, some sort of deep fried chicken and tofu balls. The menu lacks depth and is not at all expansive. If you want authentic Vietnamese, do not go here, it is definitely the lite* version. read more

I can only assume that the people who give this place positive reviews have no idea what real, quality, southeast Asian food tastes like. The pho noodles were overcooked, the broth was "meh", my boyfriends pad Thai was straight up disgusting, and the produce was definitely not fresh. We like pho and this was pho'ing good:) Worth the stop if you are taking the 301 instead of 95 and need to stop for food. Steak was tender as well which tells me they are using a better cut of meat. read more

This place is getting really bad. Our family used to go to this restaurant at least once a week. The last time we ate here was just tonight, and the place was a complete mess! All the staff are teenagers that are more interested in socializing among themselves then being attentive to the customers. The pho we ordered only had three small pieces of beef. The coconut water we ordered was warm. When we complained the young waiter just made excuses about the other coconut water being frozen. Also, there is always food all over the floor. They are just lucky that they are the only pho restaurant in Waldorf. Otherwise I seriously don't that they would have many customers. read more

The soup is good, but the service is horrible. This is the fourth time I've called to place a to-go order and no one picked answered the phone. Upon arrival, the staff had an attitude and it seemed they did not appreciate their customers. Also, the food gets skimpier each time I eat there. I will not be back to this location. read more

This was my first visit to Pho D'lite. I decided to have lunch with a friend and try somewhere new. We were seated quickly and our waiter came over promptly. He was very polite and brought our drinks in a short turn around. I ordered the Pad Thai and Thai Tea. The Pad Thai was excellent but the lime provided was incredibly dry, offering little juice. Peanut flakes were sprinkled all over the top and noodles were cooked well. The Thai tea was a little too sweet, in my opinion. I have travelled to Thailand; Thai Tea should not be as sweet as double sweet tea. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. I will return again and recommend visiting! read more

My wife and I usually go to the one in College Park. The experience there was always excellent. We were excited to learn it was one in Waldorf, MD and decided to venture to that location on a date night. Our first visit was good. Therefore we decided to revisit this location again. This time the food was disagreeable. We order the P4 off the menu. The meat in my wife dish looked chewed. I'm sure it was just over cooked to the point the meat shrivel up. Both of our dish tasted freezer burnt. This experience is the reason for the two star rating. read more

Food is good and consistent. Always hot and quick. The kitchen staff seems professional and efficient. The server staff is very casual and you always hear their conversation. Maybe music will help fill the void. I come here often but prefer take out so I do not have to hear staff conversations. read more

My husband and I visited this place this past Saturday. The soup was mediocre and the service was terrible. A polite young man seated us, took our orders and brought our food to the table. After I had eaten - it took my husband a little longer - this young female came over hurriedly removing dishes from our table and asking us if we were ready to pay our check. We eat out a lot and have never been rushed to pay our check like that. I was offended. I asked for the manager and one of the employees - I guess the senior employee - came over and told us that the manager was out picking something up. I let him know what happened and he said he understood how we feel. He went on to say he wasn't sure why the young lady was rushing since none of the servers were getting ready to leave for the day. That was our first and last trip there. read more

It's SO nice to see high quality Pho in Waldorf. I had been going to Joe's Noodle House but recently the meat began tasting old and chewy, and the broth was getting to be too salty/fake tasting. I have been to the top two Pho places in DC and find the same quality at Pho D'Lite. I appreciate the rare steak served on top, and I found all of the cuts are very tender. The broth is very clear and tastes fresh and light, giving me a chance to really enjoy the flavor of the meat, then add a little siracha to spice it up for the noodles. I had a chance to chat with the manager and he told me they get the very best cuts of meat and slice them super thin to keep it tender. Service was not too overbearing, sure they weren't on top of me refilling water, but a simple gesture and request for a refill was quickly honored. We need to remember that Vietnamese culture with Pho is about sitting together slurping noodles, spooning and drinking the broth and enjoying the experience, not about a server hovering over your every spoonful. read more

What in the hell happened to this place! My first visit here months ago I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quality of the food. So I visit today and the first thing I noticed was how filthy and unsanitary the dining room has become. Service was barely average at best. Trash on the floor and a horrible wet rag stench once sitting down. Asked for a glass of water which had green particulate floating at the top. Immediately asked for a new glass and stepped to the restroom. On the way you can see how dirty the kitchen floor is along with uncleaned plates off to the side. The health inspectors should have a field day here! By the way, bring your own bottled water because the water tasted like it came from a faucet from a house with lead pipes built in the 70's. Unacceptable. The wings were pretty good still however with the exception of a few undercooked pieces. I mistakenly ordered the wrong hibachi beef dish initially (thankfully I did because the meat in the other dish looked like steakums and the dish tepid overall). Received the corrected dish as in my first visit but it wasn't as tasteful. Several pieces of beef were hard to chew as well. Also the stench of wet rags just exacerbated the issue. The wings and the hibachi dish were the best things going for this place but the quality just went downhill along with good sanitation practices. We will no longer be a patron of this establishment. read more

This was our first time dining at a Pho D'lite, although it wasn't our first time dining at a pho restaurant. FOOD: We had the beef noodles with eye-of-round steak and briskets. The meats were sliced very thin (which is good) and the portion size is quite generous. The broth is good, but not great. The broth at some of the places in Eden Center or where there's a Vietnamese community is much better. But since this is one only game in town, the soup decent but also Americanized with the flavor by lacking in some distinct flavors like star anise and cinnamon. The plate of veggies/garnish is a mix. The bean sprouts were fresh, but the same could not be said for the basil which was blackened from being old. We also tried the garlic wings with butter sauce. It was nice and crispy, and covered in garlic. SERVICE: The guys that work there are nice and our server was good with the orders. They're pretty laid back and often talk in a group near the register. It might bother some people, but we didn't mind. ATMOSPHERE: First thing you'll notice is how a little run-down it is for a new restaurant. The table we sat at was wobbly. Lots of food, crumbs, and trash on the floor. We've been to hole-in-the-wall pho places that are cleaner than this. VERDICT: If you can't make it to Virginia for good pho or can't make it at home, this is as good as it will get down here. But just do take out since the dine-in experience probably won't be much to write home about. read more

This place started out amazing. Actually one of my favorite phö spots. I went about 2 weeks ago. 1. I'm noticing a high turnover. The servers have become too relaxed (i.e. walking around eating/drinking on cell phones in the front of the restaurant. 2. On this particular visit, the service started out bad....waited 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, took another 5-7 minutes to bring 2 cans of soda. My server has someone else bring our food to the table - he delivered without the plate of sprouts, lime, etc. then went to clean a table. It took about 3 minutes to grab his attention (as my server seemed to be the only one actually working so he was busy with another table). I asked for the plate of sprouts and such he got them with no problem...the problem came when he put the dirty rag down and went straight to line where they must keep their extras without washing his hands. I had to ask my server to get another one whom put gloves on without hesitation and also apologized. Soon after all the servers are staring at my table and it's obvious their having a conversation about what has happened. All this to say the food is still great but the customer service is certainly a hit or miss now. read more
