We have returned here a couple of times. My sister says it has more depth of flavor. Our visits and customer service have been so much better. Today we both ordered the Bun Bho Hue. It was delicious but we detected some type of spice seeds we are not commonly used to having in it and were spitting them out onto a napkin frequently. The flavor of the broth was well seasoned.

Yucky mushy tapioca pearls that were in my Thai tea. I poured the Thai tea into a separate cup & threw the pearls away.

We dined at Pho Cali in Macon for the first time a few weekends ago & it was good. I love pho & my favorite place is in Atlanta. When I'm in Macon & want pho, I'll dine at Pho Cali for a pho fix. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls & the oxtail pho. Both were good. There were several oxtails in the pho & they were meaty. I'd order it again, minus the meatballs. I didn't like the way the meatballs tasted. Also, the tapioca pearls were awful & mushy in my Thai tea. I would never order tapioca pearls in my Thai tea again from Pho Cali! Yuck!! The service was fine. The atmosphere was okay. The bathroom was clean.

When I walked in no one said anything. 2 other people walked in after me and they were told that they can sit anywhere. They also received menus before I did. I had to call the restaurant in order to receive a menu. After 5 mins, I still don't have a menu. Below is what I ordered.....nothing because I never I got a menu. The lady asked if I wanted to move seats, uuummm no. I'm content. Just got a menu. Total it took about 20mins to get a menu. Okay, I left no one cake to take my order nor do I have drinks. Yikes. This restaurant may be great for some, but not for me.

Estela was amazing! She ensured all our food was served hot and ready! Her service was amazing too. She created an ambiance in which we could eat in peace. We ordered the veggie pho and the oxtail and tenderloin pho. Both were incredible. We love this place! Highly recommend it for Vietnamese food!

stopped here on my way to Savannah from Atlanta. We ordered the pho with brisket and the pork spring rolls. The pho broth was savory and rich. The spring rolls had delicious charbroiled pork in it with a delicious peanut sauce. Support your local small business!

This is a decent little spot. Ended up coming across this place on Yelp, while we were wrapping up with our visit to the Macon museum down the road..so I figured we would give it a try. My review is based on other Vietnamese places around this part of town. I've been spoiled by Chamblee/Duluth area restaurants and when compared to the big guns, this place wouldn't hold up...but when compared to it's local competition, this place is high up on my short list of places that I would tell people to go. The Pho broth was darker in color than what I am used to getting from other places, but it was fatty, salty and aromatic none the less. All the veggies were fresh and crisp. Their meat variety was a little on the light side, but the quality of the meat they did have, was good. The fresh rolls were tasty...I think I've come to the conclusion that I really don't like iceberg lettuce. The taste of the lettuce was not doing it for me, and I would have rather had a leafy green or heck even a romaine...the meat was a little on the sweeter side-not a knock just an observation. Their peanut sauce is more hoisin than peanut butter. Will be back, sometime I'm in Macon.

This small shop is in a strip mall. I had just checked into my hotel and was starving. Not wanting fast food chain I turned to Yelp and found this shop. My first disappointment was- it was closing in 10 min- they had changed times from 9 to 8. I could get food to take out but not eat in- There were 2 booths and a table of 8 still eating. I got my food to go. It got cold on the way back- only a 6 min. drive. I got coconut shimp appetizer- tasty but the sauce was bland (on the side) and I got a fav of mine at my local Vietnamese shop - vermicelli with pork, shrimp and egg rolls in it. Again the sauce was bland. Made me appreciate my local restaurant in Dunedin.

This restaurant is located on the edge of a shopping strip. I have been craving true Asian cuisine and was excited to try here. They specialize in Vietnamese food and the dishes I had were truly amazing. I had the grilled pork sliced spring rolls , beef tenderloin pho, and Thai milk tea. The spring rolls were delicious ! I was not expecting the sweetness of the meat but it was amazing none the less. The dipping sauce added another flavor element and I added sriracha which was in the table along side chili flakes, soy, sugar, oyster sauce, etc. I devoured these and wanted more but waited for my pho. The pho was mouthwateringly dynamic and flavorful. You can tell the broth had been made with live and over time. I loved the pho by itself but added sriracha, oyster sauce, and chili oil to add some heat and extra flavor. This only enhanced the quality of the dish. Not only was the broth amazing, but the meat was tender, the noodles were perfect, and the boat of bean sprout, mint, cilantro, and mine were fresh and made the pho all the more enjoyable. I am happy I found this gem and will be back to explore the menu more soon. If you're thinking about go here..: do it now ! I took my Thai milk tea with boba to go. It was creamy, sweet, and just how I like my Thai milk tea. The boba was chewy and well flavored.

Stopped by on our way home from Warner Robin's and was not disappointed! Upon entering we were greeted and seated. The place is very clean and seating is spaced out. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. We ordered a large and regular size pho, R1.grilled pork rice dish, strawberry smoothie, and mango smoothie. Both with tapioca. Food was delicious and I was surprised at how fresh everything was! The pho was up there with my favorite pho spots. I could smell the spices from the hot and satisfying broth. Everyone gets their own serving of herbs. I asked for steamed sprouts and received just that. Did miss the basil and culantro that usually comes with pho which isn't included. The noodles were also a little overdone and breaking in the soup. But overall the broth made the dish and I wouldn't hesitate to order pho again from here. The rice dish we ordered came with broken Jasmin rice, pork chops, shrimp, eggroll, a fried egg, pickled carrots and daikon, lettuce, and cucumber. It also came with a fish sauce based sauce. This dish is THE dish that I'm most looking forward to ordering the next time we stop by. Not only did the dish look beautiful it was full of flavor. The pork chops were thin but not dry. I could actually taste the lemongrass in the marinade on the chops and that was a surprise to me. The smoothies were amazing. They actually had real fruit in the smoothies! The ultimate test was the avocado smoothie but they ran out so that will have to be for the next time we stop by. And there will definitely be a next time!

Stopped at this place in our way to Savannah. It had great Yelp reviews so we wanted to taste it for ourselves. Mind, we are pho connoisseurs from LA. We ordered meatball pho #11, large size. It's a $15 bowl, way more than your average pho soup place. The soup arrived fast, all toppings were fresh and cilantro was added bonus alongside basil. The bowl was MASSIVE and could easily feed two people, now I understand why the higher price. The broth tasted fresh and clean. Restaurant interior was clean and modern. Many customers was a good sign. Staff was super friendly and attentive, always made sure all was well with our order. Would I come and eat here again? Hells to the yeah! read more

Yum! Coming from a very diverse area full of authentic Vietnamese food and moving to a place where it's almost nonexistent, I'm always on the prowl for some good Vietnamese food to curb my cravings. So I saw this when I was passing thru Macon and had to try it. I'm impressed!!! It's super clean and cute inside. Not anything extra but simple and classy. But No worries, no need to dress up. The staff is also very nice and welcoming! I'll have to return. I got the V1 and I was definitely full afterwards. I love that they have a passion fruit tea didn't try it this time but will be back to! read more

Great food and attentive service. We had the fish ball appetizer. It was kind of chewy but had good flavor. The dinner was R1 - House special rice dish - Broken rice with grilled pork chop, shredded pork, pork egg custard, fried egg, grilled shrimp, Vietnamese grilled pork sausage and marinated veggies. The bowl is fish sauce. The waitress was so kind and patient. She explained everything and made suggestions on how to combine the egg and rice with the meats. I mentioned that I liked peanut sauce and suddenly there was some on the table. We had no complaints. Great place. Very Clean. Go try it! read more

I came in right before closing and they we nice and inviting. I got pho and a bahn mi that I shared with my cousin and it was more that enough. Both were pretty good the veggies were nice and fresh so I give it extra points. Very cute place services was awesome. read more

I'm here for the month and was craving pho soup. The nearest place was this place. It's pretty clean and open it was busy when I got here but surprise knowing it's 85deg out and some are here for pho soup. I order a fried spring roll and beef and brisket pho regular size. It's pretty big for a regular I couldn't even finish it and took it home. The favorable was real good it had a lot of meat. I was happy to fill my craving. Beside that I met a nice waitress who happens to be Filipina. Oh by the way the price here was more than most places I've been to. Reg bowl runs in $14 to $15 and large $18+ I have eaten from Midwest, West coast, south fL and paid around $10 to $15 the most. So I'm surprised! read more

This is HANDS DOWN the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Macon, GA area. I've dined in and also had to go orders which are prepared excellent, if you don't have the time to eat in house. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I lived in the Atlanta area for 37 years and recently moved to Macon and this establishment offers as good Pho as any you will find there, including Buford Hwy which is known for its great Asian cuisine. You will not be disappointed. read more

Driving back home on 75 and my husband and I decided to stop for dinner. I chose Pho since it was my birthday. This place was delicious and the service was quick! My husband and I ordered the P1 and I add more soft tendon. Plenty of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños and lime. We also got the grilled pork spring rolls with peanut sauce that were just as good as any I have had before. Portions were large and very filling. We'll be back when we come through again. read more

We found this place traveling across Georgia. It was relatively easy to get to off the freeway and convenient to get decent priced gasoline. The staff was friendly (especially Stella) and the ingredients were high quality (impressive pork and shrimp). I would certainly visit here again. read more

Apparently we either have the worst luck or went to a version of this restaurant that exists in an evil parallel universe. First the good news, the interior of this restaurant is very clean and the service is friendly (possibly too friendly; we were told how loved we were like 20 times over lunch). Now the bad news... The food is grossly overpriced and just gross. We went for lunch and one noodle plate, one soup, one drink, and one appetizer came out to $50. Were the food fabulous, we'd probably be perfectly fine with that tab; unfortunately, it was awful. The only thing we finished out of everything we ordered was the appetizer and I think that's only because we were hungry when we got there. The pho was nasty and the noodles is contained bore zero resemblance to the description on the menu. Imagine fish stock with overcooked spaghetti and grizzly bits of mystery meat in it and you will understand why it was left almost untouched. The "pad thai" we ordered was just oily noodles, veggies, and random meats with zero flavor. Calling it pad thai really is false advertising. Regarding the service, while the main waitress was effusive with pleasantries, I would not say we received good service. The first of the two main issues we experienced was that we obviously were not eating the terrible food and were not once asked how it was. If you customers can't even bring themselves to choke down more than 10% your awful cuisine, at least have the decency to ask why. Second, the waitress dropped off a Styrofoam to go cup for the huge amount of pho we had left over. Obviously, we had no intention of taking any soup with us, but what if we had tried to?!?!?! They were expecting customers to risk pouring soup from a huge bowl into a container at their table. That is literally a recipe for disaster. While we were one of only two tables there the day we went, I have visions of customers dumping soup all over tables and laps anytime they get busy. It's like you are being given a physical challenge on a game show if you want to take your pho to go. Honestly, I do not like to write negative reviews. On the other hand, I do not like being charged up the wazoo for terrible food and wished someone had warned us to steer clear of this place. Basically, you are being given the warning I wish I'd had. read more

Got the P1 , best Pho i've had in a very long time, maybe ever and I've been eating pho regularly since mid 90's. Perfectly balanced and tasty broth! Not like a lot of newer Pho places these days that have a heavy salted broth. Here you can really taste and smell all different flavors! Also, great meats in the broth and very filling! Great people, Stella and Papa are awesome!! read more

For Macon, this place definitely deserves a 5 stars. But it's a 8.5/10 comparing to other solid vietnamese places. Both the Pho and Bun Bo Hue (not on the menu) were solid. They even used the right veggies for Bun Bo Hue, which is really impressive! Highly recommend this place! read more

Customer service sucks, it was more like hurry up and buy service. Not even considering my fam and I could've very well spent almost $100 for 3 people. Thought I could come in and decide the damage I was going to do to my wallet, but instead I'm getting spit bucket service and not feeling welcome. My other peers who do not cast the same hue as myself were surprisingly greeted with much excitement and willingness to help, unlike myself.... So I left and went to Culver's right next door where they showed insurmountable amounts of love read more

I literally just had the best experience here! I'm on a super restricted diet that includes no rice or rice products or noodles. They were so accommodating and concerned with making sure they took care of my dietary needs and check on me several times. I decided on vegetarian pho with no noodles. It was so delicious. My son loved his chicken fried rice. It's probably a good thing we don't live here or we would spend wayyy too much money here! From someone who has tasted all the pho in Macon...I do have to say that this has by far been the best in taste in town. I was not disappointed. Even my fiancé was like "now if pho tasted like that every time, I would eat it all the time". My fiancé would not really order pho due to lack in flavor. The venue was very neat and clean. They even had bug zappers lol. Staff was nice and wore masks. There was hand sanitizer available as well. Soooo like I was saying about the pho. It was super tasty and even felt like I was back in Cali for a second. My fiancé had the house special rice dish and it was good as well. It was like a little bit of everything on one plate. To drink we had thai tea and taro boba. They were perfect! Definitely will be coming here again. Found my pho go to spot :D I also have tried take out. I was pretty satisfied with how everything was packaged. The condiments, noodles and soup were separate. The bowl was a perfect size for everything. I was so pleased to have a wonderful dinner after a long day at work. read more

My family came here twice in one week, and both times, the food was consistently good. The banh mi has pate in it, just like how it's supposed to. The shaking beef (bo luc lac) is super tender and juicy, and worth it. The pho sizes are huge, even the regular size is huge. Lots of choices for boba teas and smoothies. Cannot say enough about this restaurant, I had to add photos. it was even more delicious than it looks as unbelievable as that sounds. the chicken was juicy, the shrimp cooked perfectly, the egg roll was stuffed to bursting with a nice crisp crust and juicy filling. We recently moved in GA and this was our first pho stop so as far as it's comparison to other Macon/Warner Robins pho restaurants, I can't say just yet. The place was clean and tables were properly spaced out for covid regulations (at least the tables were. I can't remember if the booths were approrpiately blocked out). I watch them clean and sanitize each table as soon as people leave. They clean even the condiment bottles. I ordered a regular chicken pho and let me say, I was pretty happy with what I got. The amount of rice noodles were proportional to the broth. I know some places who serves a bowlful of broth with very little noodles and meat. Pho Cali isn't one of those. Another pho pet peeve of mine is lukewarm pho. Theirs came in piping hot and went in hand in hand with the cold weather. It was delightful! We also ordered fried fishball because it reminded me of street foods back home but there's really not much you can do to hype up fried fishball. It's fried fishball in a skewer. We also got a taro boba and it was full of flavor! Shoutout to the 3 ladies who works there and helped us out during our visit. Michelle, who was training at the time, did a phenomenal job at staying on top of our requests. Constantly checked in on us to see if we needed anything. I normally take photos for reviews but the food looked so good that I got distracted. If you're in Macon, make sure to check out this place. You'll love it! read more

The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and tasted very fresh. We had pho tai soup-regular size which is enormous. It had a nice flavor and comes with fresh herbs, jalapeños, a wedge of lime and beansprouts to top it with. The peach jasmine tea was smooth and flavorful. It has sliced peaches in the bottom of the glass. Hubby had thai iced tea. I like the tobacco flavor if thai tea. We will definitely return. The portions were generous, and the veggies were fresh and cooked just right. The garlic sauce, it didn't quite hit the flavor note I was hoping for. And the fried rice? A bit on the bland side. Short Lady with gray hair who serves food is nice and rude to who she chooses, I witnessed her give me and my husband the upmost respect and service however the person sitting to left of me had his table cleared while he was in the restroom. and never once asked him if he was done or would have liked to go containers prior to him using the restroom. let alone she did not say anything except " you ready to pay? when he noticed his table had been cleared after coming back from the bathroom. I give the guy props for not going off on her or asking for a refund because i would have caused an uproar over that. I slick feel bad for not standing up for the man because you saw defeat and unfairness in his face leaving out the restaurant. The short lady who takes the orders and serves the food is extremely rude. She rather assume people are done with there food and clean off their table when the person goes to the restroom rather than SIMPLY asking if the guest is done eating. Instead of making a scene I simply paid my $40 bill and left. I was never offered to go containers even though i had a half bowl of pho and hot tea left. And to throw into consideration she OFFERED the two tables before me to go containers when they boasted about the portion sizes. I feel really irritated about this since its less than a week it happened. Yea sure the food is good but service has always been 50/50 with the short older lady.
