We ended up trying this pho restaurant in Silver Lake because the wait at Silverlake Ramen was too long and we weren't in the mood to wait. The pho tasted okay, but the meat portion was very small and didn't really justify the $19 price. It felt a bit skimpy for what you're paying. Also, the straw they provided was very flimsy. It cracked the moment I put it in my mouth and a piece broke off into my drink, which was pretty unpleasant.

10/10 food was made perfect. The noodles did not stick together like other restaurants. The spring roll was amazing made with lemon grass which not a lot of restaurants do. The lemonade is home made you can taste it. And the chilli has so much flavor we added it to our spring rolls and our pho. The service is so respectful, refilling our waters, serving the food with such elegance. The ambiance is homie with a touch of cafe. I will be coming back

We haven't been here in about 4 years since they stopped in person dining during the pandemic. I guess to-go orders were enough to sustain my all time favorite Pho spot. I'm not a fan of assembling Pho to go at home as I just want to add my jalapeños, sprouts and herbs and get down. (!) It was good to be back and not much seems to have changed. Different staff and same food thankfully. We started with the Banh Xeo which is named for the frying sound of the omelette-like dish with beef, shrimp, mushrooms, sprouts etc. Then, you briefly soak your rice paper in hot water to soften it then race to fill it before it sticks to your plate. I like to add a layer of lettuce, pickled carrot and then the omelette with some peanut sauce and Sriracha. There's also some fish sauce for a funky salty bite and some sambal. Next up is my all time favorite Pho Ga which is chicken noodle soup Vietnamese style. Pile in your sprouts, jalapeño and Thai basil and add the garlicky sauce and give it a mix. So very good. My wife got the beef Pho for a change since she was feeling a bit under the weather. All in all, we were very happy to be back. We will be back soon and we're glad to be dining inside here again!!

Incredible lunch special value in K-Town with super attentive service!…read more Came here for a weekday lunch date around 12:45 PM and left completely stuffed. If you're looking for a hearty midday meal that doesn't break the bank, their lunch combo is easily one of the best deals in the neighborhood. What We Ordered: $15 Lunch Special (Pho Gyu 101 + 1/2 Banh Mi + $1 Wagyu upgrade): Unbelievable portion size. The 1/2 banh mi arrived first with a great bread-to-filling ratio - the crust had a nice crunch and the pickled veggies gave it the perfect bright, acidic bite. The pho bowl for the special is slightly smaller than the standard size, but still very generous (I ended up taking most of my soup home!). The lean beef slices were tender, and while the broth is on the lighter, more approachable side rather than an ultra-heavy, rich bone marrow profile, it was flavorful and comforting. Rib Pho: Hearty, generous portion with tender meat on the bone - definitely a step up in bowl size from the lunch combo. Taro Egg Rolls: Freshly fried, extra crunchy, and packed with flavor. Served with a tangy, sweet-and-spicy vinegar dipping sauce that balanced the richness well. Thai Tea: Well-brewed and refreshing without being overwhelmingly syrupy sweet. The Experience & Service: Self-Serve Herb Bar: They have a dedicated topping station stocked with fresh cilantro, sliced white onions, scallions, fresh jalapeños, lime wedges, and crisp bean sprouts so you can customize your bowl to your liking. Tables are also stocked with standard hoisin and sriracha. Hospitality: Service was fast and proactive. Appetizers were on our table in under 10 minutes, and the pho arrived just 5 minutes later. The staff even came by mid-meal to offer a complimentary extra portion of noodles (which we had to decline only because we were already so full!). Pro Tips & Logistics: Waitlist / Seating: They have a QR code waitlist stand at the front. Even with a party ahead of us, we were seated in under 5 minutes. The host handled table turnovers smoothly and communicated proactively while wiping down tables. Parking: The dedicated front lot is very small with limited spaces. Expect to circle for street parking - we found a spot right on the adjacent side street without too much trouble. Total: Came out to $53 before tip ($60 total) for two entrees, an appetizer, a specialty drink, and leftovers to take home. Will definitely be back whenever we need a quick, satisfying pho fix in K-Town!

I stumbled upon this place after looking for another pho spot I went to years ago but was on the wrong street. Lucky I found this though because again the broth alone is worth the trip. The shrimp pho was great! Also a cute spot aesthetically if you want something with a little more of a modern look. One of highlights is the self serve bar for the toppings! I prefer lots of green and white onions so it's nice to be able to get however much of whatever you want on your own. Jalapeños, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, etc. the service was decent. Nothing bad, nothing to rave about. Just what it needed to be to get the job done. Its only about three blocks from wilshire so a nice location if you want to be close to the Wiltern for a show or the shopping centers in koreatown. Good spot to check out.

The space was very cute, with great light from the windows and fun personal photos and memorabilia. We were pleasantly surprised by their $20 lunch specials and decided to take advantage. You get three items, one from each category: starters, half size pho, and beverage. I got the spring rolls, veg pho and iced coffee; the hubby got the half veg banh mi, veg pho, and a coke. The food was good and the portions were more than enough. We actually ended up taking some of the starters home. A very good value and friendly service. Lastly, gotta give it up for their shirt with the OutKast reference. Peace out.

I used to regularly pick up the Iced Thai Coffee during my breaks at work and the street style fried rice when I left work late but today I wanted to go slow with some Beef Meatball Pho. I haven't sat down here in a while so the menu's seen some changes. A few of the drinks I used to get don't appear anymore but the popular Iced Thai Coffee and Thai Tea were still there. Though coming in, the guy behind the counter asked me not to sit on my regular spot, almost got my order wrong and asked how the food was before I started eating. It really harshed my vibe of the place. The bowls of pho now use red onions instead of white. They taste a bit more biting than before with a lingering aftertaste. Staff say the changes were made a few months ago and it definitely gave the soup more impact. Though the Strawberry Limeade wasn't a very good pairing. The meatballs are cut and portioned differently as well. Though not too different as to how they were before, the ingredient looks ready to be had in other dishes like a Bahn Mi. Overall different to how I used to have it. I'd had considered a dessert but the same wait staff presented me with my bill before I could consider. Overall an odd dining experience where I felt rushed and a little unwelcome. Though it's always good to see familiar faces among the staff.

The egg rolls came out piping hot and crispy, exactly how they should be. The bánh bèo was another favorite. Those little steamed rice cakes are so good with the savory toppings and fish sauce. And the broken rice? Amazing! I could easily come back just for another plate of that. One thing I really liked about this restaurant was the people working there. They reminded me so much of my parents and their friends. There's something familiar about seeing the older generation of Vietnamese folks running around a restaurant. It brought back memories of the places my family used to eat at growing up. The only downside is the parking situation. The lot is tiny, so finding a spot can be a challenge. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're coming during peak hours. Other than that, we really enjoyed our meal. Good, traditional Vietnamese food that reminds me of home. There is one larger table in the rear corner that could seat 8 adults. There are four tables that will seat four adults, and three that would be ok for a pair. Of course the seating is rearrange-able. The inside is decently clean, but you can tell that lots of things here are old and dated. Cash only. The menu seems pretty big, but there is lots of overlap on many of the items. There are only two people working out front, so be patient. They are older and very friendly too. Our drinks came very timely. The food takes a little bit of time, but not outrageous, but is worth waiting for, as it is good, fresh, and delicious. Give it a try.

For around $18, the meal came with two eggs and what I can only describe as rubbery pork. While the eggs were decent, the meat was a huge letdown. It had an off-putting texture that made me question whether it was an older or inferior cut. The taste was overwhelmingly salty--more like salted pork than the sweet, rich flavor I was expecting from caramelized pork. To top it off, I spent over $40 something dollars for my meal and for Postmates delivery to the South Bay, which makes this disappointment even harder to swallow. I'm not sure I'd order from Be U again unless someone else is footing the bill. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but sadly, it fell short of my expectations.
