I go here all the time because I love the food, but the service has never been good. I usually need to wait a really long time to get helped. It's understandable when it's a busy night such as Friday and Saturday afternoons, but I have walked in at times when there's only 2 tables or so and still have to wait about half an hour for my food. Along with my food, I also like to get a mango boba but I have to remind them constantly so that they get it for me. One of my favorite dishes from this place is the vermicelli combination noodle bowl. If you ever go here, make sure you have enough time and give the noodle bowl a try. It's delicious! read more

Like my reviewing compatriots, I far prefer (and would rather drive farther to) the pho joints @ 120th in Broomfield. I also agree that a mixed-bag of Asian favorites does not usually bode well (as well as the red flag of a Chinese owner doing non-Chinese cuisine, or at least focusing mainly on it). We received immediate attention upon being seated, with multiple (the family members simply do not communicate with each other) check-ins to see what we wanted to drink. We were able to order shortly, with the waitress interrupting and telling us what to do, when we had a plan and were trying to work it out. The chicken lo mein came pretty quickly and I had my mother-in-law and son get started on their meal (which was serviceable). They were about 1/2-way to 3/4 way through when my combo pho arrived. I wouldn't call it pho. I would call it watery soup with some very skinny (not the thicker rice noodles I'm used to) rice noodles and some cursory, bland pieces of meat. It was definitely missing that oomph that makes a bowl of pho so rich and satisfying. It takes a lot to perfect pho broth (and even as a foodie and an avid cook, I'm hesitant to attempt it) and clearly it's not even close. At this point, I was probably going to give a 3 Yelp rating in my head. Then, after sitting around for a long time, someone came over to see how things were tasting. Well, we were done, so we asked for a box and a check. 15 minutes later, someone else came over to ask how things were... well, we reiterated our request and my MIL made a point to say we had already made a request, but that went right over the lady's head. For a casual dining joint, I'm not interested in sitting around forever, I want to get in and get out... I'll continue driving to Broomfield or Denver (or better yet, fly to S. This Pho is decent, maybe not the best I've ever had but it is pretty good most of the time. When you get take-out they are generous with the portions and include lots of basil and greens. We usually get a couple of meals out of it -- even the regular size is a lot to get through in one sitting! read more

Despite all the negative reviews I decided to try this place anyway. I should mention that I eat at Pho 79 in Broomfield probably twice a week (it's near work). Pho is one of those dishes where you find something you love and almost never stray from it. From then on, any other Pho you try is "ok, but not completely there." Yes, the menu is very diverse, with pho, thai and chinese on the menu. However, this is also the case with many restaurants you find on Federal Blvd such as Saigon Bowl. So we started with the Vietnamese egg rolls. Served hot and crispy with rice noodles garnished with peanuts. We were very happy with it and it was similar to what I have had at other Vietnamese restaurants. We both had pho. My boyfriend had Rare Steak, and I had Rare Steak and Tendon. I found the broth to be flavorful and a beefy, clean flavor. It was not too salty and did not have any artificial flavors to me, and it definitely had the rich, meaty flavor and strong aroma that I look for in pho. They were also very generous with the meat and tendon. Overall Pho 79 is still my clear favorite, but I enjoy Pho Cafe as well and it is nice to have more diverse restaurants opening close to home. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I originally gave this restaurant a 2 star review. My first experience here did not go well and I thought the Pho was disgusting. They must have changed the recipe or my first visit was a fluke in the system. I tried the soft shell deep fried crab and it was scrumptious. Very crispy, not too flavorful, but came with fish dipping sauce. The Pho was pretty good. Best Pho you can get in Lafayett, but still not as good as Pho 79 in Broomfield (which is totally worth the drive). I will definately go here again. read more

I went here about 5 years ago. I recently moved back to colorado and could not wait to return. To my disappointment the food was terrible. I ordered chicken basil and what they did was use the sweet sour pork sauce as a mix with the chicken, bell pepper, onion and bokcho. Really bad and so sorry since it use to be my fav pho place. What can I say. The most important consideration when entering a restaurant is the service. Until the food comes, that is all there is to critique...aside from the atmosphere. When the food comes the top concerns are shared with service and quality of food. Pho Cafe is absolutely charming. The staff is "as good as it gets" friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. The quality of food is top shelf. I have been in every aspect of the restaurant business from design to cooking to ownership and even building and remodeling! Pho has done a fantastic job with everything and they continue to serve great food with the best attitude. I've come back again for boba and sandwiches. This time I ordered one of each kind of Vietnamese sandwich - pork, beef and chicken. Pork is my favorite, the others are about the same level. I was disappointed in the boba this time (it was undercooked), but it's inexpensive enough where I'll still try it a few more times. Food here is always really good and comes out quick as long as it's not too crowded. I had a tough experience here today that could truly happen anywhere but it makes me question if I will return. I was in for lunch just after 11am. I placed my order and headed for the bathroom. It was occupied so I waited. The person who was in there was a cook or other kitchen staff for Pho Cafe. I walked in and the urinal was still flushing and the sink was bone dry. As I said great food so hopefully this review will encourage a discussion about hygiene with the kitchen staff at Pho Cafe. read more

Decent pho. I had veggie broth with tofu and vegetables and it was very good. Husband had rare steak and enjoyed his as well. Service wasn't the best, but they were very busy so can't complain. I'll probably seek out some other options in the area before returning here, but it's a solid choice for pho on a cold evening. read more

My neighborhood place for pho. Love it. the staff is always smiling and friendly and the food is great. I usually always get the pho but have recently started branching out. The currys are great too! Also try the bahn mi sandwich which is called vietnamese sandwich under the appetizers. It was amazing, but then they switched up the bread. But still the best pork bahn mi I have found in Colorado. I have been to almost every pho place in Colorado. The thing that makes this one the best is that not only is their pho top notch but everything else is too. The food isn't bad, but the service is absolutely terrible!! I've never been somewhere that basically ignored you. I was with my daughter and my friend, and when I asked if there was a kids menu I just got a strange look. She didn't understand what I was asking for and just brought me another menu. We sat down and waited for nearly 30 minutes before the server even asked if we had been helped. I ordered green tea ice cream and never got it until we got up to pay. This is my favorite place to eat. The soup is delicious. A medium bowl is more than i can eat but i do it anyways. Combination noodle bowl is packed with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and a whole Vietnamese egg roll. Veggies are fresh and noodles are cooked perfect. Vietnamese egg rolls are massive and super flavorful. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable. They also have all kinds of other stuff that i have never tried because i can't make myself not order the two above mentioned items. This place is packed by 11:30-12:00 for lunch so go early. read more

I gave Cafe Pho a try despite the negative reviews and I'm glad I did. My husband was home with the flu and all I wanted was something quick and healthy to pick up for us on my way home after work and the vegetable pho was just the right thing. Food has always been good. I am a big fan of Pho soups and they do a great job.

The food and service are consistently great. There are many people attending to you and the service is quick even when the place is packed. The broth of the Pho is excellent, so don't be so quick to doctor it up before tasting it. I can only handle the small size personally but feel free to go with a medium if your really hungry. I was cruising around town on the Harley, starving and looking for someplace different to eat. Saw this Pho's Cafe and tried their Singapore Noodles with chicken. Really, really good Pho. I had their Pho Tai Nam which is what I usually get at Vietnamese restaurants. Broth is good, rare steak is excellent quality and the flank was perfect. Better than most Pho from the SF bay area where there are lots of Pho places. I highly recommend it. read more
