I came in for lunch Sunday and it was easily crowded with about 3/4 of the restaurant full of Hispanics, whites and Asians. The servers can speak Vietnamese and Spanish. I got a large number 1 pho and asked for a side of (complimentary) nước beo to add to the soup. This beef fat and scallion oil makes your pho richer. The portions are huge, and their Vietnamese coffee is strong. They also do a great job keeping your doordash orders ready, so if you're ordering online and you don't get your order fast, try upping your tip. Your fees do NOT pay the driver. Frankly, if you're coming in and not understand Vietnamese culture, they're not going to provide service that you'd find in an Olive Garden. Did takeout from here and wow! Very impressed with the quality and portion size. I got the chicken and shrimp vermicelli (v7 bun tom thit nuong) and the pork/shrimp spring rolls (k3). The vermicelli was served in a large takeout container and had a large amount of really fresh veggies. They had lettuce, cucumber, carrots, basil and bean sprouts. Good amount of both chicken and shrimp which were both cooked well. I liked that the chicken marinade wasn't too sweet as some places really overdo the sweetness. I am leaving it at 4 stars out of 5 because sometimes the waiters always seem to be not in the best mood, out of the many times I have gone probably only like 1-2 times they were actually really attentive and polite. Each of the dishes we tried was well priced with a reasonable serving size. This was a fairly large and busy restaurant, and was full of diners. It was a rainy day so it just tastes that much better. Service is quick and took about 10 minutes for our pho to come out. Once you're done, you go up to the cashier to pay. Overall this is a solid bowl of pho. It hits the spot if you get that craving. I'd hedge it closer to a 3.5 star bowl of pho in the grand scheme of pho I've had, but with the price and quantity, I'm happy to bump up. It was such a huge portion. The fish sauce lacked some sugar, but I appreciated the chilies. The pork had great flavor. We were slightly disappointed that the table next to us order the exact same thing after us, but received their food way quicker. It was a busy day, but they were moving pretty quick. I asked for a large #18 with an extra side of beef broth. When I picked up my order, there was only one container of broth that looked really small to be a large? I absolutely love going to Phở Cà Đào with my kids; the food is always amazing. This time, the atmosphere was pretty busy, and it was a bit understaffed. The staff, unfortunately, weren't very friendly they didn't smile much, and we were seated in a somewhat stuffy area that was hard to walk through, especially just getting to the restroom. I witnessed a female staff member wearing clear glasses scrapped out the left over food in the dirty bowls and dishes with her gloved hands. While the gloves are still dripping with the dirty soup from someone's used pho bowls, she touched and rearranged all of the condiments and utensils with that same wet dirty gloved hand. She proceeded to wipe the table with a dirty rag, then with the same dirty glove, grabbed menus and placed on the table where new customers sat down. She did this for all of the tables. Never once did she change her gloves. And she handed out utensils to customers wearing the same dirty gloves. If they are doing this in front of the customers, I can't imagine what they are doing behind the scene... I just read the other reviews and apparently I'm not the only one witnessing unsanitary practices here. I don't want to get food poisoning or be touching/eating other people's spit and who knows what. I can never come back after what I saw. read more
