It's only offered once or twice a month on the weekends (call ahead) but it's sooo comforting to have on a cold wet lazy day. We ordered 5 bowls to go and everyone loved it! It's made with fresh Vietnamese udon, crabmeat, fried fish cake and pork roll. The broth was light and perfectly seasoned. Came here a week or two after grand opening and was intrigued by the 20% off coupon posted on Facebook. Upon arrival, the server said the grand opening discount was no longer available. Luckily I had a screenshot to show her but she came back saying the owner had shorten the date. Which I found it very strange to change something that has been advertised. I was excited to try banh canh as shown on Facebook but it was unavailable at that time. My partner and I tried their pho and vermicelli bowl. Wife and I came to try this place. We ordered the spring rolls and chicken Pho. Both were really good. I usually add stuff to make the broth taste good but this was by far the best broth I ever had. I didn't add anything to it and ate the whole thing. Service was good, as soon as we came in, we were greeted, seated, and drinks were brought quickly. My family and I really enjoyed our experience at Pho Bar. The waitress was thoughtful in ways I didn't expect. She made sure my 8 year olds food wasn't too spicy and also noticed our appetizer wasn't to her satisfaction and ended up not charging us for it. It tasted great! I'm just going to leave disappointments beside the food out of this. The vegetable egg rolls were filled with tofu, not vegetables. The basil was rotting. The pho bowl was quite small with no option for a large. The was corn and green beans in the soup?? The broccoli and carrots had the texture and lack of flavor I associate with barely thawed frozen vegetables. In summation, for the level of "meh" I felt about this meal, I would not have complained if the check were $8-10. Instead it was $26. I'm baffled by all the good reviews. I've had worse pho (that honor goes to a place in Tucson), but every other Vietnamese place I've eaten at around the world was better than this, regardless of how humble their atmosphere. read more

I'm kind of shocked on how many 5 stars this place has gotten. Husband and I got pho and egg rolls. The pho broth was good, but super small portions and hardly any noodles or meat. The egg rolls were icky. The shrimp inside the egg rolls are served tail on and not cleaned the whole digestive tract was intact. Barf. I don't enjoy eating shrimp poo. We will not be returning. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried Pho Bar in Happy Valley with some friends. This is a Vietnamese restaurant very close to home that is clean and modern. (Be careful not to confuse this restaurant with other pho restaurants in the area.) They serve fresh quality ingredients with traditional flavors. If you like stew, this one is a winner (tender, moist and full of flavor). You can order the stew served with traditional Vietnamese style French bread, on rice, or on rice noodles. Better late then never....Missed my event but on my radar for a while so hopped in while visiting Happy Valley and definitely worth the TREK!!! Super small but great vibes and great decor!!! Pho was smaller than imagined but full of the right flavors and great add ons!!! Bahn Mi was a little disappointing but overall highly recommended!! Completely baffled by all the positive reviews. They must be bots and fake accounts, because this restaurant is a joke. They're charging $13 for six small, overcooked shrimp and $17 for a few cubes of tofu and onion. No green vegetables whatsoever on this menu, and all the meat in the pho is gray, rubbery, and flavorless. I haven't had a dining experience this disappointing in quite some time. That meal actually made me sad. There was also a huge ugly hair sitting atop my scoop of rice. Barf! No wonder the place was dead. Please, I beg you, do not eat here. we came here with high hopes and left very happy! We ordered the Beef Pho (no.2) and Vegetarian Pho with tofu. Both very good. The broth flavor was wonderful and the presentation was lovely. Lots of beef in the Beef Pho, and loads of veggies in the Vegetarian. My little guy wasn't super hungry so he just wanted steamed rice and fried tofu, which is not technically on the menu, but they had no problem adjusting to meet his wish. We also ordered the chicken lemon grass Pho rolls )not crispy) and they were really light and tasted great! I wanted to give this place 5 stars because the pho broth is one of the best I've had. This place just opened and a few tweaks will even make it better. The salad rolls were meaty with lots of shrimp and pork, but peanut sauce was blah. The beef pho was exceptional but the noodles stuck together and meat pieces a little large. I had very low expectations before coming into Pho Bar. I was expecting a boujee restaurant/prices with flavorless food. To my surprise, it exceeded all of my expectations. Being Vietnamese and growing up on all the staple dishes, I can definitely tell you that Pho Bar knocks or out of the park. Cleanliness: The restaurant was completely spotless and wiped down as soon as customers left. Atmosphere/Ambiance: A lot of natural light coming in so it was very bright in there. There was a nice little bar to the side and a good variety of music playing. Overall very chill vibe Price: On the upper end with some main dishes being up to $17-$19. Food: My girlfriend got the Pho Bo. The first thing I did was taste the broth. Pho is all about the broth. You can tell if it's good by tasting the broth without adding anything to it (Hoisin or sriracha sauce). The flavor of the broth just blew me away! It was so flavorful and you probably didn't need to add anything to it before eating even! I got the Bun Thi Cha Gio (vermicelli bowl with lemon grass pork and egg roll). The bowl has a good balance of meat, vegetables and noodles. The egg rolls were on point! I've never had an egg roll with the pork filling then a whole shrimped added to it! Very delicious! Really great experience! I know it's a little pricey but I would not like the price detour you from flavorful and quality food! read more

Absolutely love this place! Yesterday I came in and ordered #6 which was I think pork and two sunny side eggs with bread, and it was delicious. My friend, she got a bowl of pho and she said it was very tasteful. However it did lack just a little bit of flavor, but it was still amazing! While we were eating, this super cute asian guy with glasses came up to us and offered us if we wanted a cocktail. He was super adorable, helpful, and very knowledgeable about his drink so how can we say no?! I ended up getting some sort of pink drink and my friend she got a mojito and it was so worth it!
