I love coming here because the staff is friendly and the food is great. Yes, there is usually one lady working, but I get my order within 5 minutes of walking in which is amazing. This is the closest Pho Restaurant to my new home in Katy so I really wanted to like it. During the month of January I went here with my son and daughter in law, he had a rice plate, she had Pho, I had Banh mi and we all thought it was just OK. Then I went with my daughter and she disliked it to the point of barely touching her Pho but I had the Beef Stew with French bread and enjoyed it. Today I took my husband to try the beef stew. We were each enjoying our stew when a ROACH crawled up the wall right next to our table and made its way across the wall and went behind a framed photograph of Vietnam on the wall. UGH! I'm not going to lie, I wasn't expecting much from this place. The restaurant's far from the cleanest restaurant I've ever been to, plus I could barely understand the staff. I wouldn't have be surprised if they got my order wrong. There were a couple of tv's but I couldn't understand anything. I think the staff was watching it. Not really considerate for the customers but I wasn't there to be entertained. I ordered two Banh Mi and some egg rolls. The Banh Mi was decent sized, but I've had bigger for the same price. I didn't experience the absence of the butter like many others did. The bread wasn't too crispy. I wouldn't say It was memorable. The egg rolls didn't look that appetizing. My gf's mom makes them so much better. I also got the lychee slurpy with lychee bits (I ordered the lychee slurpy w/ coconut bits but whatever. Still good). All in all If I really want some Banh Mi, I'll just drive down the road a bit more to get to the good stuff. 3 stars because they got my order wrong and for the unclean environment. read more

Great Vietnamese Pho in the neighborhood. Their Banh Mi as well as their rice dishes are up to par with ones I've eaten at other Viet places all across the Houston area. The restaurant itself needs work but I rarely eat there and just order takeout. Overall the food is great and what you will expect in a neighborhood restaurant. read more

What originated as an attempt to try what looked like a decent Pho place soon morphed into 2 hours of inexplicable waiting. The place was not at all busy (in fact, we were the only 2 people in there for awhile), but that didn't seem to affect the servers. Within 3 minutes of sitting down, we were asked as many times for our order. Having never eaten Pho, a bit more time to look over the menu would have been nice - in the end, I just felt rushed to pick something. Ten minutes later, our food was delivered, twenty minutes after that we had finished eating, and forty minutes after -that- we had miraculously found our server and had acquired our check. We then sat there with the bill in hand for another ten minutes, until our table was getting bused and we all but forced our cards into their hands. Long story short (& believe me, this is just the bare facts), the service was absolutely terrible. In terms of the food quality, I have nothing to compare it with - again, I have never had Pho before. It was edible, and quite a large portion for the price; however, it's hard to say anything more complimentary when the service (or lack thereof) has left such a bad taste in my mouth. We weren't terribly impressed with this place. The server was nice, but had a hard time understanding us, so all of our boba drinks were incorrect. Also, the boba had sat too long and was too soft. The pho broth was good, but the noodles were a solid mass at the bottom of the bowl. After we had finished no one thought to tell us we had to go to the counter to pay, so we sat there almost twenty minutes with the staff puttering behind the counter, oblivious. read more

Great little place. I got pho and my hubby got the vermicelli and it's the best pho and vermicelli we have had had in a long time (we check out different pho places regularly). Portions are very generous and flavor is off the charts- the pho broth was much richer than you usual find. We got the spring rolls as well- pretty basic, but the egg roll was one of the better that I've tried. Definitely recommend visiting this place! read more

I love this place! I come here often especially when I'm sick because the spicy soup clears up the worst of colds. I like that I can come in here and they know me and always ask about how I am doing and what I have been up to. They have great employees who care about the customer. I have tried other Pho places but the convenience, quality, and customer service bring me back to this place every time. I would give it a try if you like Pho. read more

Came here a couple days after the hurricane just passed, I don't know if that affected the quality but honesty this was the worst Pho I've ever had and I've been to about 9 Pho places so far. Absolutely flavorless broth. Had to add a load of Sriracha, lime, hoisin sauce, and jalapeños yet I still didn't taste anything. I'd recommend Pho 18 (w little York/queenston) its a new mom and pop that just opened up and it blows this place away. This place needs to step their game up. read more

The food was ok...but the service was HORRIBLE. After waiting 15 minutes to order I decided to place a togo order. It took another 25 minutes to get it. Of course this caused the food to be a little colder since we had to take it home. The place is also VERY dirty (the highchairs were G-R-O-S-S and falling apart). When I discovered pho 88, I was hopeful that it would be good. The first time I had their pho with round eye steak to go and it was good. The 2nd to go order of the same pho wasn't as good as the first time. The broth was bland and missing some flavor. Last week, my hubby and I decided to dine in. He was craving some vietnamese dish and I decided to give their same pho another try. This 3rd and last trip was it. 2 things happened! # 1: The broth tasted so sugary and wasn't fresh to me. Maybe it was left over, but it sure wasn't good. # 2 (the worst part): I was drinking water and I had came down to needing a refill. As I was waiting on the waiter, I looked down in my glass to drink what was left and saw a medium sized roach float up in my water.It was disgusting. I felt sick to my stomach. The owner and waiter were apologetic, but were trying to keep me on the low down and waived my bill. I know that places can have it's ups and downs, but if you're gonna run a business, you gotta keep it together. Safety first! I really hope they get it together, because I'd hate for anyone to go through what I went through. So far the best in my book is Pho Tau Bay off Barker Cypress and FM 529 . It's kind of a drive, but it's worth it. They have awesome spring rolls and by far, the best pho. They are quick and Phillip the owner is awesome. read more

Wow the front lady must really want to save those tips for herself because she is still working alone. Went today for the first time, glad I didn't sit in because there was a long wait. I ordered over the phone and still had to wait. The ordered was wrong but I took it anyways because it wasn't too far off from what it original ordered. The food was good and was hot.
