There's nothing quite like a hot bowl of pho on a bone chilling day. Though most pho places I've been to previously only serve pho, this place also serves Asian dishes like orange chicken, fried rice, and more. I'm impressed by the extensive pho options as well! Noticing a great, comprehensive website, I decided to place my order online. It is really user friendly and alleviates any stress about ordering with language barriers. The only thing they could add to the website menu/ordering would be pictures of each food or type of food but otherwise color me impressed! On the downside, After waiting the estimated 25 minutes I went to pick up my food and apparently they weren't yet aware of my order. A guy quickly started checking his phone at which time he saw the order and went to make it. It only took about 5 minutes after that but there are few things that upset me more than ordering ahead and still having to wait despite the place not being busy. Plus, if it only takes 5 minutes why did I wait 25? Would my food have been cold if they had make it right away? Anyway, while waiting I took a look around and the place seemed moderately sized and very clean with average stalled bathrooms. I, however, was glad to be taking mine to go because there was a child sitting/standing at one of the tables with infuriatingly loud sounds constantly going (it would have hindered conversation if I was there with someone.. and there were dine-in customers at the time). I'm sure he belongs to an employee since he went back into the kitchen several times. I understand how difficult child care can be.. but surely there is a less noisy and more appropriate place to manage him. After a 10 minute drive home, my meatball pho soup was piping hot (just the way it should be!). As is typical, the broth and meat were inside a plastic container and all the fixings were on the side in styrofoam. The bottom of the styrofoam was wet and made a little mess. My issue with this is that when I bring home food I don't expect to have to use my dishes to construct the food but since the broth container was full to the top I couldn't add in any of my sides without pouring them into a bug bowl at home. Also the noodles were in a solid. Cold hunk that was difficult to pull apart - I'm guessing the styrofoam sides are made the day before? I had asked for no more than 1 meatball if they are large but I guess the joke is on me since the meatball meat is sliced. They certainly gave me more than I would eat but now I know to order it differently in the future (and I'm sure some people appreciate heavy meat). As for the pho itself? Sublime. I can't remember having pho so good in recent years! The thai tea was also divine though I expected a larger cup. So here's my advice: give this place a try! Eat in or get it to go (understanding you'll need to dirty a dish at home). Order via phone or in person OR order online and then call to alert them of your order. I went in at 11:10 and there were two tables of customers and one to go order other than mine (so not too busy). Begrudingly or not, I'll be back! read more
