I am saddened to write this review, as I have loved eating at this restaurant for years. It's always been my favorite place to go for any occasion, whether it be a meal for one or a birthday celebration. However, last night I went here for dinner and was appalled at the events that took place. I went to the bathroom when I first got there, and realized by the end of the meal (about 20 min after arriving) that I did not have my phone. I went to check the bathroom, since it had been the only other place I had gone in the 30 min there. When I did not find it, I assumed someone from the staff had found it and brought it to the counter. When I inquired about my phone, the woman at the front told me immediately it could not be there -- and if I hadn't found it in the bathroom, I must have left it at home. I continued pressing since I was sure I had my phone with me when I had walked in. She explained that nobody had been in the bathroom while I had been there, and if someone had found it, she would have known. I grabbed my boyfriend's phone and logged into Find my iPhone, and saw that it was in the restaurant. I told the woman that I knew the phone was in the restaurant, and she needed to ask her staff where it was. She continued to insist that it could not be here, and that it must be a mistake. I played the beeping sound that alerts you where your phone is if it's nearby. I heard a muffled beeping coming from the back counter and went to investigate a shelf with kitchen supplies. I ultimately found my phone tucked in an aluminum foil box on the shelf. I asked why the phone was placed here, and the woman continued denying she knew anything about it. I should have yelled, I should have made a scene, but I was shocked that my years of coming here as a frequent customer had been returned by them with theft. I left immediately, and I will never go back again. For anyone reading this who frequents this restaurant, be sure to leave your valuables in the car. The Pho here is like Ramen for "big kids" but 10x better! Have been dieing to try this place out and finally had the opportunity last week for dinner. The Pho (which I've never had before) was tasty, filling and at reasonable price. I even got my Pho with schrimpys and it was the perfect combination of flavors! The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service was very accomodating. My friend mentioned to the server that we had never had Pho before and he was more than willing to dish out some pointers and keep checking back to make sure we were enjoying our meals. The first time I went, a nearby table was talking excessively loud and cursing a lot, which did not make the meal any more enjoyable. I had the pho with rare steak and tripe and an iced coffee. The pho had a tasty broth and they gave a good amount of meat and noodles. However, I thought the cost was pricey for pho - $9 for a small bowl. For some reason the plate of add ins (bean sprouts, limes, mint leaves) didn't include jalapenos :( The iced coffee as also not a full cup... the ice was filled to about 3/4 of the cup and the coffee was about 1/2 of the cup. I went another time and stood around for a couple minutes before I was acknowledged. The food was consistent - pho was tasty. Also tried some egg rolls, which were nice and crispy (also overpriced in my opinion...). Previous reviews said that it's cash only, but I think that has changed. They don't use fresh ingredients in their dishes...the noodles come out in the bowl as a block and loosen up over time. The mint, and bean sprouts, and stuff, seem a little wilted. Things that aren't just Pho, it's clear it's pre-prepared and just assembled like at a factory. Actually, that's true with Pho too. It's the closest place to us and still decent enough - I really like Pho - but of the places I've been, I have been least impressed by this one. Good: It's clean and accepts credit cards. Bad: they always have two televisions on with different programs, and one will have the volume blasting for the (male) staff to watch, often with nature shows or something of the sort, whereas the other one will have some reality television on, and still have some sound but only for those close to it. It isn't a place to bring anyone you want to have a conversation with - really it's best if you're in the mood for a quick, hot, cheap meal on your own, and don't want to go the extra mile(s) for something better, like in Catonsville or downtown. read more

Its some of the best pho Ive had in MD, great hearty broth and generous fresh ingredients. Great service, ready in what feels like 2 minutes. I'd come for the milkshakes alone! In summary: mediocre food and over priced. The pho I've had there has been oily and the noodle to broth ratio is pretty low. Then on top of it, I feel that it's over priced for what it is. The sandwiches I've tried there were mostly bread and very little filling. I do like their bubble tea but they are always out of the flavors I want. Last month when I was there they were out of taro, then last week they were literally out of every flavor I asked for. They blamed it on having to order the flavors from California. In this day in age where you can have shipments come to almost any location in less than 24/hrs I don't find this a decent excuse at all. Don't act like you have to put your bubble tea flavors on a wagon and then have to Oregon Trail it over to Baltimore. After the flavor debacle, the woman made us our bubble teas... WITH NO BUBBLES! The woman then said they were out of tapioca bubbles on top of everything else. This was after she charged us for a bubble tea and not just a smoothie. Won't be back. read more

The first few times I came to this place, I was impressed. I normally compare all Vietnamese restaurants to my favorite place in Jersey, Pho Anh Dao. At the time, I could honestly say the pho at Pho 7Rich was just as good, if not better. The reason why I am only giving this place 3 stars is for a couple of reasons. First off, they started skimping out on the meat. I normally order #18, Rare steak. I used to get quite a few slices. But the last few times I went, I could count the number of slices on one hand. The other reason is because I took my friend who was visiting from out of town, and we had four people at our table. The waiter brought us 4 waters. We did not ask for waters, but they layed them on our table. When the bill came, I saw a suspicious $2 charge. I asked the lady at the cashier what the charge was for. She told me that we were charged 50 cents for each water. I didn't even touch my water, but I was not going to cause a scene. So they brought out waters, did not tell us we were going to be charged for them, and just slapped it on the bill. The water was tap! Why was I being charged for faucet water?? After that visit, my friends, my girlfriend and I agreed we'd never go back again. Shady & bogus. It's a shame cause I love pho and won't be having any unless another respectable restaurant opens in my area. read more

I got a takeout order, so I can't say much for the service, only that the staff was kind and quick with my order, and the restaurant was nice, cute, and intimate. I got a takeout order of pho with tripe, rare flank steak, and tendon. The broth had lots of flavor and the pho came with all the usual fixings. My only complaint? Too much noodles, not enough tripe! I guess that's a good thing if you don't like cow stomach but for me it was a huge let down. The tripe in the pho was also very tough. Overall, three stars. Good if you really need your Vietnamese fix. I'd go back again, maybe to try something other than pho. read more

It's been about a month or so since they opened. I've been here a few times since restaurant opened and the service still stinks, and I don't think it's gonna improve because this place reminds me of "real" vietnamese restaurant where the place is owned by family, food is good and authentic but they don't give a crap about service. All they do is take your order, bring your food, refill your water maybe once if you're lucky, and you're paying at the register with cash. They're polite but I don't feel bad not tipping. Overall, food is pretty good - I don't have to go to Catonsville anymore for decent pho. However, I noticed that their pho is inconsistent (one day soup is too cold, soup is too salty, and sometimes soup is wayyy too oily ; and a pho should not be oily). Still, despite baby steps, their pho soup remains most delicious compared to other places. Interesting fact about their Spring Rolls - they include stick of carrot and celery in their Spring roll. I've never seen that anywhere and they need to stop because the taste of celery ruins the taste. Also, peanut sauce was much too thin today. Please find your medium!! Last thing, they really need to add Thai Iced tea to their menu. What is Pho place without a Thai Iced tea? Also, prepared to wait for tables during rush hours (weekends, lunch, dinner). read more

All their soups are flat rate $10 now. I enjoy the taste of the beef and rice noodle soup. I'm here on Christmas eve enjoying the meal on a rainy day. Staff is polite and attentive. What's not to like about this place ?! Phó is huge and savory, the bubble teas come in humongous containers, summer rolls are always a hit, bahn mi sandwiches are packed and their bún is delicious. First visit here trying Pho 7 cuz it's closer than my usual pho spot. My Wife and I shared an order of spring rolls (which were good, no complaints) and both ordered a #9. Tái Chín Nm [Rare steak, brisket and flank] and immediately noticed how greasy it was, oil just floating on the top. Despite how greasy it was, it was good and fulfilled the craving for pho we had.. well until this morning when we both had stomach aches from the abundance of grease, I doubt my Wife is going to finish her leftovers LOL. Customer service wasn't great, the place was empty (when we arrived) and it took a while to get our orders taken, drinks weren't refilled until were finished our food. We sat there for 15 minutes at the end wondering if we were going to be brought our check (per usual for table service) or go to the counter which I had to ask to find out. Then there was an issue that didn't effect my visit but was very odd, a customer came in to a now 1/4 full restaurant and wanted to sit in the left half of the room, the waiter kept telling him to sit on the right side where he was putting everyone else. I understand the ease of having customers close together but I didn't think it was necessary to continue telling a paying customer where to sit, just didn't seem very hospitable. I loved my experience. The Pho was delicious and their Grilled Pork Rice Vermicelli was fantastic, I wanted chicken but note this; is they do not serve ANY chicken, period. All the vegetables were fresh and the serving sizes were HUGE! We couldn't finish our meal and took the Pho to go. We even got some Vietnamese Coffee Boba to go. We did spend some time waiting for the check, but that was only because we noticed there was one person; hosting and serving the tables simultaneously. We have been on a Vietnamese kick this summer and have tried many Baltimore spots. Unfortunately this place is at the bottom of the list. I will start with positives, because there are some. The pho broth, noodles, and meatballs are good. Also, food arrives extremely quickly (less than 5 minutes after ordering). My go to is spring rolls and sadly the wrapper was so chewy I could barely eat one. The peanut sauce wasn't right either. They are very overpriced. One bizarre thing (that I also read in another post) is that they are really weird about you looking at a menu once your food is served. I don't get it. Expensive but decent pho, i.e. tasty stock and good flavor. The amount of meat that they put in is moderate, not too generous. The noodles were stuck together and broke in to pieces when I tried to eat it. Towards the end of the meal I bit into something really bitter, which they may have used to favor the soup. Came here for lunch on a Saturday with 2 friends. Everything about this place felt lazy and uninspired. Decor/Atmosphere: ok. fine. minimal. It's a seat yourself kind of place with numbers on the tables and caddies containing forks, chopsticks, and condiments. metal napkin dispensers. random things up on the walls. old drop ceiling. There is a little half wall at the entrance made of unfinished plywood, which in hindsight, seems really appropriate. Service: unfriendly. not helpful. meh. The server was eating a bowl of noodles when we arrived, got up to tell us we could sit anywhere, and to get him when we were ready to order. ok, no problem. when it came time to order, we had a question about the menu (what was the difference between "well-done brisket" and "brisket" in 13. Tái Gu Rare steak and well-done brisket 14. Tái Chín Rare steak and brisket) that was answered with some serious stink eye. We had come here specifically for banh mi sandwiches. When we tried to order them, we were told they don't make them anymore, which was really disappointing. During our meal, we were reading one of the menus still sitting on the table. The server decided at this point to end his avoidance of us, to come over, close the menu, and put it down on the table next to us. weird. Food: just ok. We ended up getting 2 varieties of pho (10. Nm Ve Dòn Well-done flank and 14. Tái Chín Rare steak and brisket) and some fried egg rolls. The pho was OK. The meats were fine. the noodles were fine. the pho broth was VERY bland and had no flavor. We added a ton of sriracha and hoisin sauce to make it more edible. egg rolls were ok. Overall, we left here mildly sad with a deep sense of food regret. We prefer some of the other nearby places (Pho D'lite, Pho Towson, Pho Thanh Cong) and only tried this place because they had banh mi on the menu. We won't be returning. read more

We were headed to Mission Barbecue, but it was Fathers Day, and Dad's love meat, so it was crowded and we were hungry...that's how we ended up here. I've been to a few pho restaurants--I can't say it's my #1 ethnic food, but to be fair-in comparison to others I've been to, this place sucks. We were ushered by a youngish man to sit anywhere. So we did. And waited. And waited. Mind you, there were only two other parties there--on Father's Day--until we had to grab menus from another table. We both ordered Bún tht Heo Nng which is grilled pork with rice vermicelli and vegetables. What came was a bowl of noodles, with a few scallions, a dusting of peanuts (is there a peanut shortage I'm unaware of?), and mostly fatty, partially grilled pork. No condiments were provided other than a bowl of tepid broth. Ended up eating the noodles and peanut dust and one quarter-sized piece of pork. When I asked for a refill on my water, i got it in my glass, as well as on my arm and no apology. Way overpriced for quality and quantity. Called in a carry order at 1254pm. And by 131pm the order was ready when they said it would be ready in 20 mins. Then i bring the food home and order is wrong. The worst part is when i called to let them know and was on my way back no one apologized for the mistake. I ordered hot coffee and got iced coffee. Orders lemongrass chicken with steamed rice and got no chicken. Asked for an extra side of onions with my pho tai and the onions were added to the lemongrass chicken with steamed rice! Like seriously jeez an apology would've been nice!! And on top of all this, there were barely any steak in the pho tai!! If the other location were open off of Harford Rd i sure as hell would've gone there!! Never again will i be back here!! It was not worth $45 at all!! read more

This is the closest authentic Vietnamese restaurant from Harford county. The last time we went the service was appalling. The server came by our table once at the beginning of our visit to take our order and drinks. My wife had to remind him literally three times to bring her beverage. He never returned on his own accord during our meal to see if we needed anything. The food itself was sub-par. They don't have any menu items or section on their menu for kids. We went with our 3 year old and ended up ordering the chicken wings for him. From my angle at the table I could see the kitchen and I saw them toss a bunch of raw chicken wings in the fryer, cook them for 5 minutes, and put them on a plate and dump fish sauce on them. The price for that was a whopping $7 alone and they didn't taste that great. They seriously need to focus on their customer service and food quality to keep this a viable Vietnamese restaurant option. read more

I used to frequent this restaurant because they are local and I enjoy a nice Vietnamese meal but the bad service I received on my last and final visit has killed this place for me. I stopped in on a weekend and found myself the onle sitting restaurant patron there except for the bugs on the table and flying around my food. Half of what I ordered to eat never arrived to my table because the restaurant staff were eating their own food or watching the big screen tv. When I got to The cashier to pay The Bill I found that all The prices had been raised on The food that I was eating while I was sitting at The table he announced a whole New price for my food! Ok, I love Pho! So, if that's all you care about, then this is great. They only have one size, but all the different meat choices, even a chicken one.
