Craving for Pho brought us to this place. It's kind of out of our way but I was happy to found it easily. They have parking in front and back. We came in for lunch earlier than the crowd for lunch. So we got seats fast. The place is clean and dining area is large. The servers were quick to come and get our orders with smiles. They were very pleasant and helpful. We received our pho soup right away and my combination bbq sticks. The meat were well marinated and taste so good. They have its distinct lemon grass taste that I love. The pho was large serving and came perfectly blended. We enjoyed eating our order with easy conversation. I truly enjoyed this delightful lunch as an early start for the day. Thank you ladies for a great lunch. God bless you.

The soup was absolutely delicious especially with the chili oil, lime and saracha. The customer service was on point. The restaurant gave really good vibes. The banh mi was really good especially with the Saracha.

It's been 10 years since I first fell in love with Pho 79. I'm happy to say I still frequent the restaurant and enjoy it as much as I did the first time. They are fast and friendly. Easy and simple dining experience. The Pho Thai is my favorite. Brought my father here on 2 recent visits and he loves it!

Bowl was great as usual. This was my first time trying the short rib it was amazing and tender. The shrimp skewer was also really good.food came out quickly.

Service was not great, my friend wasn't given glass of water even asked several times. They are busier filling door dash orders than attending to the handful of customers in the restaurant. Even when I paid at the counter afterwards, an odd comment was made to me in Vietnamese- the man (walks around in a beret) said to give tip in cash so it doesn't go to the owner. Not sure what's going on there, but I thought that was a tad crass. Ambiance is gloomy, too dark and heavy decor (they try to give this pagoda feel). Dated. But how is the food? The Bun Dac Biet (special vermicelli with 3 skewers of grilled pork, chicken and beef) is not bad. Just lacked veggies and peanuts!!!! My friends ordered the Pho #4 (steak, flank, brisket) - both took a while to come out and didn't have the same temp of meat - one seemed overcooked like it was from the bottom of the pot simmering for hours. Food would be a solid 3.

There's a small and large size of pho. I got the large because my stomach is endless for pho haha. There were a lot of noodles and meat for a pretty decent price. I got the #8 pho that has brisket, tendon and tripe. My boyfriend got the #6 pho that has round steak, brisket and tendon. He really enjoyed his bowl too. I do want to try their bubble tea, vermicelli bowl, and appetizers next time. There is a parking lot across the street that we park and walk across. It is only a minute walk. Overall, 8.8 out of 10.

Honestly this is the only place I like to get pho, even though they're linked with the other Pho 79's in the 757. This location (in Ghent) has so many vegetarian options (like the vegetarian spring rolls in the rice paper that has tofu instead of shrimp). They have two entrances- one in the front right off of 21st st and a small parking lot with an entrance in the back off of 20th st. The service is quick, even when they're super busy, and the staff is efficient & friendly. My girlfriend and I split the pho tai and got extra noodles, and the extra noodles came with broth (which I didn't know), but the broth tasted different than the pho tai broth and the noodles were more soggy or soft- I don't know how to describe them. They weren't as good as the pho tai, so we probably won't do that again. We'll probably just split the large portion of pho tai and get our two appetizers.

Pho 79 is a steady place for your pho phix. They put a LOT of meat in their pho, and that's alright by me. They offer bobas made fresh with plenty of flavors. I appreciate that 79 makes the effort to offer a warm, vibrant, inviting dining area with a bar. So many good Vietnamese places are dark, dank, and drab. How about a coat of paint and some wall decor for Pete's sake? Sorry, for the rant. Fortunately, Pho 79 ain't that kind of place. They got good eats and a nice place. Pho ga is a winner if you're looking for a rec.

Dinner was Bomb! Wifey was craving some pho and I really wanted some Korean BBQ. This was the perfect match. She had her chicken pho and that's just what she needed. The large was a Lot, so much that she couldn't finish it but that's okay as it can serve as lunch for me. The Korean BBQ short ribs I had though were AMAZING! The flavor, quantity, insanely good. Listen, my wife is a cook, which means she knows her flavors, this meal tonight was jam packed with flavors that had us both floored, full and happy. This is the third time we've been to this location but the first time I tried the Korean bbq and I'm glad I did.

Okay, so they used to have a lot of great veggie options. I'm not sure if they're limiting what they make for takeout or if something has changed, but we ordered from them last night and the vegetarian spring rolls weren't listed anymore. I also got my normal bun chay and it was on a bed of cheap lettuce with thin sliced baby bellas, carrot ribbons, no chayote and big chunks of bland fried tofu. Not at all what I usually get from them. The beef pho, skewer and no-pork spring rolls were fine. Putting a picture of last night's B7 and the old kind if I can find one.

Today we had Bún Bò Huế - Spicy soup with thick vermicelli noodles, beef shank, slices of Vietnamese pork bologna and pork knuckle. nd Mì Đồ Biển - Egg noodle soup with shrimp, squid and fish ball. The first was mine and instead of a spicy broth with full layered flavors, what I received was more reminiscent of dishwater...thin and flavorless. The pork knuckle was mostly fat and cartilage, obviously not simmered nearly long enough. My wife's dish did not have any fish balls or squid, but did have some shaved meat. Clearly the wrong dish, but never saw waiter to notify. Place was not dirty, but wasn't truly clean either. Tables were tacky, utensils were well worn and place just seemed tired. Busy to-go business, so perhaps dine-in gets lost. Wouldn't recommend.

We ended up here after leaving another spot because we were craving a BBQ pork bánh mì,…read morespecifically the red pork kind. This place looked like it specialized in bánh mì, so we figured we'd give it a shot. The shop itself is really cute, and they also have boba drinks, which pulled me in because I love boba. I ordered a Thai milk tea along with our sandwiches. That's kind of where things went downhill. The tea tasted really artificial...like, not something I've had before, and the color was off too. It was also super sweet. My boyfriend tried it and said the same thing. For food, we split two sandwiches: he got the marinated pork and I got the roasted pork. The roasted pork was honestly disappointing--almost all fat. I get that pork has some fat, but this was excessive. Most pieces were barely meat, and the texture was just not good. I ended up picking around it just to eat something. The marinated pork was actually pretty solid. But since the other sandwich was such a miss, we basically ended up eating a marinated pork and what felt like a veggie sandwich. Overall, I think we'll keep looking for other spots when we're in the mood for bánh mì.

To our surprise, Pho Nguyen actually serves beer and sake! This has become our go-to pho spot now. But y'all, let me tell you... the broth here is so on point. I add nothing but veggies, jalapeños, and a fresh squeeze of lime. I mix hoisin and sriracha in a little saucer for dipping the meat and basil. The pho noodles are cooked to perfection. I also love that they offer a small bowl option. Nothing makes me feel more guilty than not being able to finish a huge bowl of pho, and here the small size lets me enjoy the noodles, meat, and broth without wasting anything. Definitely order the fish sauce chicken wings. They're so good... a bit on the smaller side, but still delicious. We always order fresh spring rolls out of habit when we have Vietnamese food, and since they make them fresh, they were able to get the shrimp on the side for me. Service is solid, even on a Friday night. They're steady paced, check on you regularly, and we've never had any issues. The decor is simple but gets the job done, and the vibe is casual and relaxed. It's the perfect spot for a cold, rainy-day meal. Bathrooms are clean. The restaurant is in a busy Walmart shopping plaza, so drive slowly... there's a lot of foot traffic and cars in the lot.

We were seated very quickly and ordered after a few minutes. For my meal, I ordered Cơm Thịt Gà Nướng (grilled lemongrass chicken) and a beverage of fresh squeezed sugar cane. The drink itself was really good. It wasn't too sweet and is actually good for you. Sophia drunk some and said the next time we come by, she'll order it. Great stuff indeed. The meal was very good as well. The chicken was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of veggies to go around. We got full halfway that we took it home where both still tasted great. It arrived fresh and piping hot, with a beautifully crisp exterior that immediately told me it was made to order. The batter had that classic bánh xèo texture - thin but sturdy, with just the right amount of crunch without being greasy. Each bite had a satisfying contrast between the crisp shell and the warm filling inside. The plate came with a generous assortment of fresh greens, which added a nice brightness and balance to the dish. Everything tasted clean and well-prepared, and the greens paired especially well with the nước mắm dipping sauce, which was flavorful without being overly salty or overpowering. It had that familiar savory-sweet-tangy balance that really ties the whole dish together and makes you keep going back for another bite. What really elevated the experience, though, was the customer service. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it genuinely felt like he was happy to have customers there enjoying the food. He even took the time to show off some of the restaurant's awards, which honestly just reinforced the feeling that this place knows exactly what it's doing! You can tell there's a lot of pride behind both the food and the space. The atmosphere itself was relaxed and comfortable, making it an easy spot to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. Overall, this was a really solid experience from start to finish - good food, thoughtfully prepared, and paired with warm, genuine hospitality. Would absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area, and I'd definitely come back again to try more items on the menu!

I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty.
