Came here for the bánh ít ram while my sis came to visit me. We actually had bánh ít ram in Vietnam…read morebefore and loved it, so I was really excited to see it on the menu. It's a Hue specialty, so it's not something you can find at just any Vietnamese restaurant. The bánh ít ram was good and I would order it again. It wasn't the best I've ever had, especially compared to what we had in Vietnam, but it was still good enough to satisfy the craving. Definitely worth trying if you're a fan of Hue food or bánh ít ram! A bonus about this restaurant is that the service was really great and everyone was just so sweet. The restaurant was also well kept and nice.

The small dishes were especially fun to share, and the sugar cane juice was a refreshing addition to the meal. Overall, Goc Hue is a great spot if you enjoy Vietnamese food and want something beyond the usual pho or banh mi options. We would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

The setting is one of its biggest highlights--surrounded by greenery while still being conveniently located near major roads. There's plenty of free parking, making it an easy stop. The customer service was excellent, with friendly and welcoming staff who made the visit enjoyable. The food was good and tasted very fresh, although I was expecting a little more depth of flavor. Since I don't enjoy spicy food, it's possible that much of the boldness comes from the heat, so others may have a different experience.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I specifically asked if I could get food without cilantro…read morethe cashier said yes no problem they bring out a bowl of pho covered in cilantro keep in mind we are literally the only people in the entire restaurant. I tell them immediately that I can't eat that I reminded them I have a food allergy. They spend 15 min remaking it only to have cilantro in it again. So I paid for a meal I cannot eat. The girls spent most of the time talking instead of working and paying attention my son asked for sweet tea they brought out lemon tea.

Overall: 3.1/5 [delivery]…read more We ordered on DoorDash for Sunday dinner and were disappointed to find out that 3 out of the 5 items we ordered were out of stock. What frustrated me was that they let us place the order for unavailable items and didn't reached out to ask if we wanted to add any replacement items. The food also took over an hour to arrive and was cold by the time it got to us. Banh Beo / Steamed Rice Cakes ($7): Came with about 6 pieces that were bigger and thicker than what we're used to with a good amount of topping. The nuoc mam was okay. Crab Paste Vermicelli Soup / Bun Rieu ($15.50): Pretty good overall but I'm not a fan of mam ruoc and you could definitely taste it in the broth. My husband loved it though, and there was a good amount of protein, soup, and veggies throughout.

Fast…read moreforward to today, I live here now and have had time to try out most Viet restaurants known for their Pho (because when it comes to Viet food, every restaurant has a different dish(es) that they excel at). I can confidently say this is the best, if not, top 3 in DFW. You come here for a hearty, very filling, and affordable bowl of Pho. The service is quick and attentive. You'll place your order and get your giant bowl within minutes. They offer a regular and large and trust, the regular is plenty. Take out is ine size only and that's their large. Even with take out, the meat portion is generous. The broth does lean ever so slightly on the saltier side but overall very solid.

Certainly would return, everything was tasty, there was no wait for service. "Con ăn chưa?" -- Have you eaten yet?…read more If you grew up in a Vietnamese home, you know those words mean so much more than the question itself. It's how our parents and grandparents show love. Food is how we care for one another, how we gather, and sometimes, how we find our way back home. That's what this place reminds me of. Don't let the playful name fool you--this is so much more than a pho restaurant. The pho is excellent, but what keeps me coming back are the dishes that taste like they came from a Vietnamese family kitchen. Bún bò Huế, bánh khọt, bánh xèo, canh chua cá, cá kho, thịt kho trứng... the kind of food that brings back memories before you even realize you were missing them. There are days when I'm homesick, craving a home-cooked Vietnamese meal, or simply don't have it in me to cook--and this is where I want to go. It feels comforting and familiar, like being fed by someone who knows exactly what you needed. And then there's the chè! They have one of the best selections I've found, plus they cater, so it truly has become my little one-stop shop for Vietnamese comfort food. Some restaurants you love because the food is good. Others you love because the food makes you feel something. This one feels like home. By far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in DFW.
