Was craving their Pad Wun Sen for awhile now so I went after church. It was a little chilly so I was happy to get some comfort food. I double checked to make sure I had the correct order before leaving the parking lot and all was perfect! I had used Door Dash to pick it up & it was supposedly incorrect one time but I didn't notice it until I got home. Anyway, I looked at the fresh veggies, chicken & non-greasy glass noodles & I couldn't wait to dive into it! It was delish with a splash of lemon and freshly ground black pepper that I topped it off with. Veggies like crunchy broccoli, bok choy, carrots, red & green bell peppers, cabbage & bamboo shoots. Everything tasted fresh & no weird chemical taste nor old meat as in a previous restaurant where I had ordered the same dish. Ordering was easy & I was able to pick it up from the drive-thru window. I have been wanting to try this place for months! Especially since you can pick up your to go orders through a drive thru window! I drove up and asked the lady for a menu since I was driving and couldn't look up up on my phone and she was so sweet, she let me place my order right there and come back since I had to run an errand. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and what was gluten free, what used any seafood, and made sure to give the right recommendations. For the Service I give them 10/10 5* The food I would give a 4* The pho was good but a pinch on the bland side. I was expecting the broth to have more flavor but once you add your sauces and everything it's fine. The chicken summer roll was a 5* hands down! I usually never get chicken but my mother can't eat shrimp and we were sharing so I got the chicken and it did not disappoint! Very good! This is a nice little pho spot closer to where we live. Been here a couple times and each time it's always good. It's clean and always smells like good food cooking in the back. Came here on a Sunday after church around 4 pm and the service was pretty fast. We enjoyed all our food and I liked that the portion sizes were pretty good and the place was clean. The generous portion was just right for us but would've been a lot for one person to eat. Loved their fish sauce so much that I asked for extra. It was very tasty! Was driving home to my new apartment in a depressive state (going through a divorce) when, as i was sitting at the intersection of TPC and Evans, I glanced over and saw the Pho 4 Star light illuminating the night sky like the North Star (not the mall)- the drive thru window especially catching my eye. I immediately u-turned, despite having a car full of groceries and placed an order via the DoorDash app for pickup (which is what the window is for). I haven't had excitement about eating for five months, so much so that my psychiatrist wanted to start me on ketamine infusions and mood stabilizers to restore my will to live and get me to eat more. Pho 4 Star did what no therapist or pill or self-help book has been able to do for me. I took a sip of my chicken pho and I felt excited about eating for the first time in a long time. The broth was so good it bandaged the wounds on my soul. The chicken so tender - unlike my marriage. I also ordered lumpia and every bite felt like a gentle kiss on my forehead. If I could rate this place a 10/10 I would. I cannot stress how little I've cared about eating prior to coming here so you can trust me when I say this place is the best. The other day I had a few pieces of arugula and a bite of a cucumber and was content- no seasoning no dressing just raw. But Pho 4 Star reminded me how joyful the experience of food can be. We started with Summer Rolls which was larger than expected. 2 large freshly made rolls made with fresh product and a side of a very tasty Peanut Cream in a small bowl. I ordered Veggie Pho which had fresh vegetables and a couple large mushrooms and a side dish of greens and jalapeños. The wife played is safe and ordered the a stir fry with chicken. The consumer service was great and the meals are prices just right. I would say they need to increase the font on their menu though, talk about needing a magnifying glass for some of the items. This used to be my favorite place. Idk if they went through new management or what but service has gone down since. The pho tastes greasy, and every time I come the guy who takes our order ALWAYS gets the order wrong. The first time I specified no raw onions due to ALLERGIES and they still put onions... the second time I came same guy he got EVERY SINGLE order wrong...third time he forgot my order entirely. We have gone here since it first opened. And we absolutely loved it but after today will not be back. I ordered a rare steak pho. Our waiter happened to leave the kitchen door open. I see the chef holding my steak in the palm of his hand and putting it in my bowl. It kinda grossed me out because i also saw him on his phone prior to that so i asked our waiter (who was wiping down the tables) if i could have the steak on the side. Our waiter goes back there, with the door still open, and with his bare hands after cleaning tables, reaches in my bowl to take the steak out. So when he got back to my table i asked him if it was normal that they handle the meat with their bare hands. He then tellls me.. which really pissed me off, that the chef has gloves on WHILE IM STILL STARING AT THE CHEF back on his phone with bare hands. I told him i physically saw the chef do it and then the waiter reach back in to my bowl after cleaning tables. He told me 3x that never happened. Absolutely disgusting. And im so sad to never go back. I have seen them multiple times back there assembling it with tongs. read more
