I found this place through social media. I went there at night upon arrival. There isn't much street parking but they do have a garage where you can pay for parking. Very small venue with little seating. The food wasn't that bad. We ordered the jerk wings that were overcooked and jerk tacos both with fries. They have a location in orland park too which is closer to home so that is convenient too which is also connected to an all plant based restaurant too. Trying to get her attention in regards to a mishap with my order was a job in itself and they weren't even busy. Security at the door only searched me. Nobody cared to search my wife which I found was baffling. As I watched the door I noticed they only check men. Not women. Everyone should be patted down or checked for safety reasons if you choose to do that. Food comes out really fast though. The kitchen staff is great. Jerk burger was delicious! Drinks are really strong though. They're more alcohol than flavor and they do a horrible job describing the drinks on the menu. People really under value quality service because it tainted my entire experience and I won't be returning. Visited this place on Tuesday during my quick 24hr adventure to Chi Town. We were recommended to try here by the stylist who assisted us at the Gucci store on Michigan Ave. we had already intended on going to a different restaurant, but since we couldn't get reservations, we opted to try here. My sister made a reservation and it required a credit card and $10 deposit per person. We have plenty of restaurants back home that do this, so it wasn't really an issue or red flag. The site advises the deposit will be put towards your bill. We got to the restaurant and wasn't asked if we had a reservation, nothing. They just pointed us to a 2 seat table in the corner. The restaurant is very small but had a cute ambiance with cute neon signage all around. the menu had so many options that sounded good, we asked for our servere opinion. She just blandly said "everything", which really was not of any help to us. After browsing the menu via qr code on our phone, we opted to get the $2 jerk chicken tacos (Taco Tuesday special) and the surf n turf pasta. The tacos were really good, just lacked much jerk sauce. The pasta was dry. There was barely any sauce touching the noodles, but a little puddle of sauce sat at the bottom of the plate. The pasta contained shrimp, lobster, and 3 lamb chops. The lamb chops were tender and packed with flavor. However, the lobster and shrimp were overcooked, so they were veryyy chewyyyy. For the price of $50, the pasta was not really living up to its price. They had a $6 margarita special happening but advised they were out of bottom shelf liquor so they would have to upcharge for top shelf to be used. When the check came, they did not apply the deposit to it. We didn't notice until we got back to our hotel clear across town. All in all, this was a one and done spot for me. Already planning to get back to Chicago within the next two months and I can humbley said I would eat McDonalds before I visit this spot again. read more

My friend ordered the roast beef and grits. Again this was very lackluster and lacked flavor. I asked my server for salt and pepper and she informed me that there was no salt or paper in the establishment and provided me with lemon pepper. Adding lemon pepper to the grits and roast beef really kicked it up a notch. I also had the D'ussé mimosa which was pretty good but I notice that this establishment adds D'ussé to their dishes to increase the price. The food here is good but the service is usually a hit or miss. It's either really good and the server is on point or it takes the server 40 minutes to take my order another 30 to bring out the food, and another 20 minutes to bring condiments to my table. Also the music is always too loud! The music is always good, but I should be able to hear the person next to me speaking, but I can't at this establishment unless I'm sitting in the outdoor patio section. It was my friend's birthday and he always talked about this place so we finally made our way here. First thing I will say, flavor was on point. They don't know the definition of bland because everything was well seasoned. Tacos were tasty, well balanced with spicy, salty, and acid. Flour tortilla was nice and soft, I expected it to be a mission tortilla but this one tasted much better. I don't have much to say for the jerk chicken rolls. You just have to try it for your self, it is basically an egg roll stuffed with cheese and jerk chicken. Pretty fantastic dish but you get 2 for 10$ so its kind of pricey Chicken sandwich was decent. I like that they got the char flavor on the chicken, it added another layer of flavor to the dish. The bun was a brioche which was great but I feel like they could have warmed it up a bit more for it to be a bit softer. I like the freshness of the lettuce, onion and tomato to help brighten the intense flavor from the chicken. Fries were soggy, well seasoned but no crisp to it. I enjoyed the jerk wings quite a bit, they were decently crisp for being unbreaded and again great flavor. Personally, I enjoyed the char but the rest of the people I was with were not a fan.
