We came today and ordered the durian coffee, Viet latte, and durian basque cheesecake. The order did take a while to come out maybe 15 minutes. The coffees came out quite warm and the lattes were very foamy (felt more like a cappuccino). The durian coffee had real sweet durian in it so I enjoyed that one very much that the flavours just worked. The Viet latte was tasty and not too sweet. For the dessert, I could not appreciate the durian taste but the cheesecake itself wasn't too sweet and quite rich. I think we maybe came here on an off-day and would come by to try it again. The actual store is quite pretty and I love how they decorated everything Vietnam-themed. There is one washroom as well.

Opened in early June, the shop is located along a busy part of Yonge St. with many eateries close by. The shop is fully accessible where there is indoor seating for about 20 customers. They also have a small patio out front however, no patio furniture yet. The washrooms are located downstairs though. Currently during their soft opening, everything is 10% off. The grand opening for this location is on June 20th! Expect the decor to be very similar to their Bay St. location downtown, although the space is a bit smaller. Entering the space, you are drawn to the many pastries and cakes available for purchase, as well as an extensive drink menu featuring Vietnamese coffee, matcha drinks, tea drinks, as well as your regular espresso based drinks as well. My friend and I stopped by La La Bakeshop during their opening day in the afternoon. The place was buzzing with excitement as many people came by to purchase their cakes as well as order drinks. There weren't a lot of baked goods left but there were still a lot of mini cakes. Staff were friendly and did their best with making drinks and calling out orders despite them being so busy! My friend and I both ordered a jasmine matcha latte (mine was cold while hers was hot). We were able to find a seat however, it was pretty loud at times so it was difficult to hold a conversation in the space. Our drinks were made in less than 10 min and my jasmine matcha latte tasted great - it had a strong matcha taste. There could be more jasmine flavour though. This eatery is located in a plaza and, according to my friend, Ulysses, occupied the store where Matcha Matcha was. I have always had an interest for what stores used to be where. Across the street is a KFC that has a bucket that no longer spins. Bummer. There was plenty of parking in the lot. We got there at noon, which was when this store was open on a Monday. I also came after work on a Wednesday. There was lots of parking then, too. Staff are friendly and nice. Ulysses had enjoyed his coconut coffee when we were here the first time. He loved it being iced and creamy with the coconut in it. I had to get one. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. It didn't take long for my drink to be made. I was excited when I finally got it. I thanked the man and left. This drink was awesome. The coffee was strong, but the coconut flavour did a good job masking some of it and balancing everything out. It had rice paper, jerky beef, shrimp salt, fried garlic, satay, fried shallot, quail eggs, green onions, pork rinds, and mint. It was super crispy and flavourful. It was filling for lunch. Yum! My friend got the banh mi cut, which is basically a banh mi that was cut up into finger food sandwiches. I got to try some and it was delicious. I like this place a lot.
