The food was incredible (mini crab cakes, stuffed mini potatoes, tuna with seaweed salad, and filo cups with Brie for apps and orange glazed chicken and shrimp and grits for the main course). Christie and Joe showed up early, prepared all of the food and made sure everything was set for when we arrived home from the wedding. Joe manned the kitchen while Christie made sure the appetizers kept coming! They even cleaned up the kitchen and put the leftovers in the fridge. We couldn't be happier that we chose Coastal Catering!

Even though our event was probably very small by his usual standards, I felt Joe gave me complete attention during the planning phase, making me feel like he really cared and would do as good a job for our small dinner party- as he would for a wedding of 500! The menu was Top Chef-level creative, the food was beyond delicious- and the presentation was first class all the way. I would recommend Joe and Coastal Catering and Events to anyone, for anything! We did everything by phone and email. (We had been to Christmas parties that they catered, so we already knew the quality.) We had heavy hors d'oeuvres since it was outdoors. Jeff made recommendations on food and quantity based on our needs. They showed up promptly, with everything they needed, from tables, trash cans, oven, cooktops, napkins, etc. It was amazing. In one hour they had got and fresh food ready to serve. We also used the bartender service, which was worth every penny. The quests loved it. Everyone was very sweet, professional and they patrolled the area to make sure everyone was good. They then packed everything up and most importantly CLEANED UP! They even took their trash away with them. Oh and did I mention the food was fantastic and the amount was perfect. We had very little left over. All of our quest raved about the food! We also got the crab cakes, which I love. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I have also attended many functions throughout Southport where they provided the catering. I am writing this review specifically to praise Adam and his team for their incredible work catering my niece's wedding this past May at the River Hotel in Southport. This was a challenging venue with no kitchen, requiring all food to be served from a catering van under a tent. Adam was an absolute dream to work with. Despite the lack of a formal wedding coordinator, he managed a group of demanding voices with ease and professionalism. His confidence allowed those of us in the planning stages to relax, knowing he was truly in charge. The food was, as always, excellent, but I want to highlight how dependable Adam was in executing such a complex event. He was always available during the planning process and stayed on-site throughout the evening. He even saved the day when the rental vendor failed to deliver plates and spoons for the wedding cake--Adam stepped in with his own supplies at the last minute. His contagious joy and dedication made him an absolute pleasure to work with, and he was a major part of what made this such a memorable evening. I highly recommend his services for any event.

I surprised my wife of 40 years with a surprise Wedding Vow renewal. I hired her on my good "gut" feeling. I had one conversation with her and I turned the reins over to my daughter. The bourbon meatballs were killer, antipasto salad and tomato mozzarella bruschetta were seasoned perfectly. Mini key lime pies, hazelnut bread pudding bites and strawberry shortcake trifles were a great way to end our fare. Her taste & flavors were delicious!
