They had the best food. Denise and Cam were excellent. I would recommend this business any given time. We were wonderfully surprised.

We ate at a catered event at Brookgreen Gardens lastnight form Inlet Affairs. Prices were fair and reasonable and there was a good selection of food. I ordered the peel and shrimp which were served cold like cocktail shrimp. They were large and not deveined. I would have really liked to have them steamed. The she crab soup was pretty good. My son had the chicken tender combo and it was the chicken fingers that they serve at his high school. My friend ordered the vegetable Soup and she couldn't even eat it because there was some kind of peppery taste that lingered. It almost tasted like they added pepper vinegar. The Hushpuppies tasted like they were fried on old grease and tasted like fish. All in all- definitely average fare. read more

In September 2022, we remotely planned (from PA) an intimate beach wedding/reception at a house we rented in Merrill's Inlet. We didn't have any caterer recommendations to go on, so we took a chance and planned our event with Inlet Affairs (IA). We're so happy we did. Our experience with IA was exceptional beginning at first contact, all the way up to the end of the evening of the event. The reception started with a fantastic Charcutier board before the ceremony and was followed by a "Caribbean Luau" dinner, which was absolutely delicious. In addition, their customer service was terrific. They provided an onsite event manager, server, and 2 chefs. They were very professional, courteous, and very attentive to everyone's needs. Nothing was too much trouble to make it so nice for everyone. We didn't have to worry about anything related to food and set up. They did it all. They cleaned up everything and actually took the trash with them! We'd give them 10 stars if it were possible. We highly, highly recommend IA because of their delicious and well prepared food, their professional customer service, and stress-free planning. Top notch catering company with friendly, competent staff who are very easy to work with. I hired them for oue Ribbon Cutting/Open House. The food was all the rave. People came just for the food, and I now know why. The best bite of the night was the deviled egg with fried oyster cooked on site. Everything else was superb as well. Michele, Jennifer and ALL the Inlet Affairs staff were fantastic. I had a 70th birthday party with 30 guests at a beach house in Garden City Beach a week after "hurricane" Florence. The party went off without a hitch.....Jennifer never missed a beat. She came prepared for everything......Even when I was freaking out because the water cut out 2 hours before everyone was to arrive. The food was spectacular and there was an abundance of it. The fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits were a particular favorite of everyone. The biscuits were delicious. The 7 layer dip, fruit and cheese plates were fabulous. The homemade potatoes chips were a favorite of my grandchildren. Set up and clean up was flawless. Michele could not have been more helpful especially when you consider that this whole affair was arranged long distance through email and phone calls. Needless to say I wish I had known about Inlet Affairs years ago. I will be reminding my friends and family about the option of having parties at the beach now. read more

Attended an author event today through Moveable Feast. Lunch was a great spinach salad with chicken and strawberries with a balsamic dressing. Very good. Dessert was chocolate cake. Only problem the restaurant/catering hall smelled musty. read more

Our wedding there this past was fantastic and the food was spectacular. We were looking for something original and that spoke to our backgrounds. When we went back for the taste testing a month and a half later, they had created some new dishes specifically for us. They set the tone for our wedding by providing things we'd never seen before at a wedding (or at least very rarely). Crostinis, macaroons, and brisket are some of the special flair that they were able to add. I wish I could say that there was one particular food item that stood out from the raves of friends but they all did. Their service staff was also gracious and personable and helpful. Our goal was to have an event that our friends and family will remember for years to come and I believe that they will. Nichole was spectacular as our event coordinator and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great event and amazing food! read more

08/10/2018 Professionalism I called about a beach wedding morning brunch for 20 people. The woman I spoke to was unbelievably rude. She was sarcastic. She made 4 big sarcastic remarks before I finally said we would look for another caterer (which we found). I totally understand someone having a bad day but she was horrible! I was at work, calling about prices and she asked me for the address of the beach rental. I told her I didn't have it with me and just want information. She said "Well........Pawley's island is 4 miles long, I need an address!" That was the last straw for me. All I could think of was, if she is this difficult to deal with now, what would it be like with the event. Hope she can find another job not working with people. read more

Inlet Affairs catered my daughter's wedding and they were amazing!!! I highly recommend them. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and all the food was super delicious. They delivered on everything they promised, were very flexible on changes, made really helpful suggestions and kept our pleasure and ease their top priority. Everything was perfect - and everyone loved the food! I worked with Beth Ann who was truly wonderful and always available. We had planned a beach wedding at a house in Garden City, but when those plans were ruined by Hurricane Matthew, Beth Ann saved the day. She was very flexible about postponing, but when we still wanted to have the wedding, she offered Inlet Affairs as the venue which she decorated beautifully on one day's notice and made it a memorable wedding for us. I attended a party there and the standard of food served at this restaurant was very poorly prepared. The temperature of the food was not correct, the quality was just ok and the taste was nothing unusual, special or exciting. I gave the staff the opportunity to fix the problem, but my plate came back the same. When addressing this issue with Beth Ann she was very inattentive and acted very unprofessional towards to me. I hope that they can use this feedback as a coaching opportunity for future events. read more
