Honestly get what you're getting for 15$ buffet with drink included. Not many options and kinda bland without salt and pepper and sauces. BBQ cooked well but the sauce was odd. Staff was very friendly and vibe was very country-based.

If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

The outside of the restaurant was unassuming but once you stepped in it was lovely. Beautifully decorated and tables were set and ready. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Some areas were for 2 to 4 people but others were set for groups like our family of 7. Having lived in Italy for 3 years in northern Italy I know what an Italian restaurant should be . In all the years since we left Italy I have been to many supposedly Italian restaurants and been disappointed. I was so impressed and surprised when we arrived and once I tasted my food and saw the joy on my family's faces as they began to eat I knew we finally had found that gem we had been looking for! Even my coffee at the end took me back to Italy. The owner of the restaurant came to check our table himself and was Italian and so well spoken. You could tell he had pride in his restaurant and his staff. If you love Italian like we do you simply must go and eat there. You won't be disappointed. For the quality of the food the pricing was very reasonable.

We were a large party of 16+ people, and the table was all set up and good to go when we got there. If you have a large party like that, do call and make a reservation. Located in a strip mall on Surfside Beach/Myrtle Beach (it is on the border of the cities!), Valentino's is an Italian restaurant with lots of choices of pasta, chicken, seafood, and veal dishes. Best part is that an entree comes with either soup or salad. Our server was Corey, and he did really well with the large party and keeping us happy. We got some alcohol such as wine, beers, and liquor, and water of course. Corey also refilled our waters well and constantly. For apps, we got 2 fried calamari, 2 eggplant rolenti, and 2 stuffed mushrooms. The Calamari was tender and enjoyable! For entree, I ordered Lingini with clams in a red sauce with pasta fagoli! others ordered chicken or veal saltimoboka, as well as marsala, and some specials. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and some even took leftovers home as well. I know I definitely enjoyed my clams and lingini! pasta was cooked aldente and enjoyable! Even the soup was enjoyable as well! This time, everything was on one bill, and we paid via a credit card, and left a cash tip. Highly recommend this restaurant!
