It was my night to cook, so I decided to let Low Country Affair take care of it--and I'm so glad I did! They handled everything from preparing the meal at the house to cleaning up afterward, making the entire evening completely stress-free. The seafood boil was absolutely fantastic. The crab legs are a must--they were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The peach cobbler was phenomenal, and I loved hearing that it was made fresh the morning of our event using peaches from a local farmer. That attention to quality really stood out. They also made sure our non-seafood eaters were taken care of with delicious chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. The team served the traditional Lowcountry boil by pouring it out onto butcher paper covering our long dining room tables. It was such a fun, interactive, and memorable experience. The staff were credibly friendly and made the entire evening so enjoyable. It was Southern hospitality at its finest. This will definitely become a new family beach tradition, and we can't wait to book Low Country Affair Catering again!

She checked on us many times and made sure we were satisfied with every little thing. We found pretty, fun hats to try on for pictures. The table scape was lovely and the china beautiful. There was the cutest piece atop the water glass that looked like a bird. In it was a lemon slice that you squeezed and then poured the lemon juice into your water. What a wonderful touch. They have warmers in place to hold your tea pot to keep warm. I tried the hot cinnamon spice tea and it was lovely. Full of flavor and so fragrant. We tried the tomatoe bisque soup which was full of flavor and nice and warm. We enjoyed a nice salad with the secret homemade dressing. The 3 tier stand with all the goodies was wonderful. The presentation with ribbons and roses was elegant and inviting. We sampled lovely tea sandwiches, scones and Madeline cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. The scones were warm and delish filled with cranberries and white chocolate. I believe the best scone I've ever tried. My favorite little sandwich was the cranberry bread filled with a cream cheese spread with Kaluha, maple and walnuts. OMG! 1. **Venue's Contract Violations**: The venue's actions seemed inconsistent with the contract's…read morestated hours. The venue requested that the wedding party vacate the premises by 11:00 PM, but the contract allowed access until midnight. This is a key issue, especially given that transportation was not readily available for all guests. 2. **Mismanagement and Lack of Support**: The bride, groom, and other guests had to deal with logistical issues, including not having rides home and being pressured to leave before they could arrange alternative transportation. The wedding planner's questioning of the bride and the mother of the bride about the alcohol and the fridge also seems like an unnecessary conflict, especially when there was already confusion regarding the venue's policies. 3. **Unprofessional Behavior**: The venue's owners and staff made contradictory statements about their policies, such as allowing dogs in the venue despite initially saying they weren't permitted due to allergies. Furthermore, there was an apparent lack of support or assistance in resolving problems that arose, such as retrieving forgotten items for the groom or filling necessary items like champagne and roses for the ceremony. 4. **Failure to Meet Expectations**: Several services promised by the venue and planner were not delivered as agreed, including music playlists, gifts being locked up, and key items like goblets and champagne being properly prepared. The catering also seemed to fall short, as there were complaints about the service and setup. I would have given 5 stars if this didn't happen to me being the groom and my wedding night... especially when I PAID for a lot of this event.

Very clean and friendly front desk. We did not go to pool area, too many kids. Location was great. Has several places to eat next to it. Great places to get a drink in the evening. You can walk straight onto beach next to pier, no steps. The hotel has a access but old wooden steps with grass around it to use. Would be great to make a ramp instead. Parking good on both sides of hotel. Most of rooms have a ocean view balcony. Elevator on ground floor to check in on 2nd floor. A few vending things and nice sitting area. Negative was they opened up a drain into the ocean after it had rained. So it made it hard to walk the beach. I had never seen this at another beach. They dug trenches down into sand. Definitely spoiled the beach vibe.
