I was really disappointed with my experience at this BBQ spot. The food itself was good, but the…read moreway they handle their happy hour specials completely ruined the vibe. Apparently, if you want to order the happy hour food specials, you're required to sit at the bar. If you're at a regular table--even if there are plenty open--you're out of luck. This policy makes zero sense from a customer standpoint. Not everyone wants to squeeze into a bar seat just to get a discounted appetizer. Some people come with friends, family, or kids and would prefer to sit at a table and actually relax. For a restaurant that has the space, it feels unnecessarily restrictive and honestly a little unwelcoming. It also puts the staff in an awkward position because they have to constantly explain the rule to confused customers. A good happy hour should make people want to stay longer and order more, not make them feel like they're being forced into a specific seat just to participate. BBQ is supposed to be casual and hospitable. Unfortunately, this place managed to make it feel oddly rigid and inconvenient. There are plenty of other spots that manage happy hour without making customers jump through hoops.
