The restaurant has plenty of inside seating and a very nice covered patio area for outdoor dining. Orders are placed at the counter and brought to your table when it's ready. All of the employees we interacted with today were all friendly and helpful. The menu has SO many delicious sounding choices that I will have to make several return visits to try them all! But for today I chose their prosciutto & chicken panini. The sandwich was perfectly pressed and generously filled with carved chicken and all sorts of yummy goodness. This particular dish also had honey roasted almonds sprinkled inside, giving it a very surprisingly nice added crunch. I've been to all the other restaurants in this shopping center and Mendocino Farms is by far the BEST of them all. I've already made plans to come back next week :)

With a room full of people expecting lunch and little time to find a solution, I called the restaurant hoping they could help. Jordan immediately went into problem-solving mode. She checked whether they could accommodate a last-minute catering order and even consulted her manager. Although they didn't have the necessary catering supplies, Jordan worked with me to find another option: individual sandwich and salad orders. The team rushed to prepare everything so I could pick it up and make it back to the retreat in time. They absolutely saved the day. The food was phenomenal, as always, but the service truly earned this review. Jordan and the team didn't cause the problem, yet they went above and beyond to help solve it. Everyone enjoyed lunch, and what could have been a major issue became a success. I'll continue coming back for my own meals, and Mendocino Farms Brea will be at the top of my list for future events. Great food earns return visits; service like this earns loyalty. Thank you to Jordan and the entire team for coming through when we needed it. An easy five stars.

I've been going to this and the Tustin Philly's for close to a decade. It is hands down the best place for a cheese steak. In fact, it is the only decent cheese steak place I know of. The Amorosa rolls are unequaled in sandwich shops around here. I have an onion allergy and made sure to clearly communicate my order over the phone. Onions were not listed on the menu, so I had no reason to expect them in my food. However, when I opened my burrito to cut it in half, onions spilled out. We called the restaurant to inform them of the issue and explain the discrepancy between the menus, as well as my allergy. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the owner became upset. He reluctantly agreed to remake the order, but the interaction had already made me uncomfortable. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner appeared visibly upset, so I decided to leave. He even followed me out to my car. I have footage of this interaction on my dashcam. I don't know what his intentions were, but the situation was intimidating. Mistakes can happen, but when food allergies are involved, they need to be taken seriously. What made this experience especially upsetting was not just the ingredient issue, but how the situation was handled when we tried to address it. It's disappointing because I've had great experiences here in the past. However, this was truly horrible customer service, and I left feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. I hope no one else has to experience something similar but someone else by the name of "Javier" also went through the same by the reviews.

The walls are a vibrant orange color, and the large backlit Togo's sign on the back wall really caught my eye. I arrived around 6:30pm on a weeknight as they were preparing to close for the evening. I'm guessing it was the owner behind the counter who greeted me while he was putting together a sandwich. He was very cheery and personable, which immediately gave me a positive impression of the shop. I ordered a cold roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread, and I added swiss cheese. While he was making my sandwich, I mentioned that I really like the pepperoncini peppers to which he replied "Extra pepperoncinis for you!" which I appreciated. For an extra $3.75, I upgraded from regular size to a large so I'd have half for later. I went home and immediately ate half of the sandwich. It had a good amount of ingredients, and they were all very fresh. I love roast beef and swiss, and it was very good, especially with the extra peppers. Their prices are reasonable and they have a good variety of hot and cold sandwiches. Service was great and I really enjoyed the glowing personality of the owner. The only other option is the giant size at $19.95. The sandwich was also a little bland, and it seemed like I tasted more lettuce than meat and cheese. Is it fancy? Not at all, but that's also not what Gina's is trying to be. It excels at being a casual neighborhood Italian spot with good food, friendly service, and an easygoing atmosphere. It's become one of my favorite choices for a lowkey pizza date night. You can keep it casual and eat there or grab a pizza and garlic cheese bread to go and have just as good of a night at home. Friendly service, great pizza, and garlic cheese bread that is worth the trip by itself. Gina Maria's feels like a true local spot in all the right ways.

The bad: I ordered a carne asada burrito, and if I'm being honest with you, it was okay... It tasted like your basic generic burrito. Nothing special about it. And the asada wasn't chopped up that well. (Some of it also tasted dry) There's simply better burrito options out there at other restaurants and food trucks. Maybe add cheese to it to make it taste better? Now the good: The burrito was a decent size. And the Spanish rice inside of it was pretty good. I also ordered a chocolate stuffed churro and it was exceptional! the staff were pretty nice and the place looked clean! Just watch out for the transients that sometimes be in the area. One dude gave me attitude right outside the restaurant because I didn't give him any money ‍. Which is not the restaurant fault, but it's still a good FYI
