Philly Wok has been on my list for quite sometime , being that we were out and about yesterday we decided to pay a visit. It is about 20-25 minutes away but that's ok. Upon entering the young lady up front was a pleasure , welcomed us with a smile and explained to us the menu , I did mention to her it was our first time there and she was very understanding. I ordered 2 proteins 2 sides ( fried rice , LoMein noodles , jerk chicken and shrimp). To be honest the sauce was so strong and overpowering all the flavors , the shrimp was not fresh shrimp the texture was kind of going frozen and no taste , the jerk chicken was amazing and I think it would of tasted better with out the over powering amount of sauce and served just with fried rice or noodles and maybe sauce on the side. The fried rice was a small portion and soaked in sauce so I really can't say if it was tasty or not and the same for the LoMein noodles. I would say minus the overbearing amount of sauce I think it would be a 10/10 but as it was I give it 5/10. My grandson had 2 protein 2 sides he had the ribeye steak which was definitely under seasoned but over powered with the sauce and he had jerk chicken which we both found very good. His sides were the same as mine and he had almost the same experience but gave it a 7/10. He also got the wings but he took them home. Out over all experience was 5/10 & 7/10 for the food and 10/10 for ambiance and presentation. Will we visit again not sure when because it's pretty out of our way. But as I always say we all have different pallets and taste buds go try it for yourselves.

Seen this spot in instagram from a couple of different people and had to give it a shot. A little bit of a drive for me but don't mind for proper big back cuisine. Pulled up and looked like a typical food spot in a shopping center. Definitely nothing no where near fancy. The menu isn't big at all but you can definitely make many different combinations. Would highly suggest ordering ahead if you can. The staff was welcoming and gave me a heads up it would take at least 20 mins in which it definitely did. I ordered the double protein plate with rib eye steak, jerk chicken, fried rice and lo mein, 3 pc buffalo and garlic wings, a salmon egg roll, and a steak egg roll. The steak was a little tough and could have used some seasoning in my opinion. It was finished with teriyaki sauce but didn't mask the fact that the steak was well done. The chicken was decent. Lacked the spice I would expect from jerk chicken. The rice and lo mein was good but nothing to go crazy over. Both of the egg rolls were good. I liked that the wrappers weren't too thick. Both had just meat and cabbage in them. A little more filling would have made them better. The yum yum sauce is a must. The wings were a decent size. The flavor was good even though I really didn't get much of a garlic taste out of them. Am I glad I pulled up, yes. Would I make that long drive to try again, probably not. Either way, if you live close, I would definitely hit them up and give it a shot yourself!

The tuna tartare was spicy, fresh and addicting. The crab cake was rich and full of fresh flavor and satisfying. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly (medium rare). Even the accompanying vegetables were delicious and complimented the main dishes. Best she crab soup I've ever had! I cannot emphasize enough about how much I enjoyed my time here. It's definitely a great place for a fancy, classy night out. I can't wait to try their speakeasy next!

However, yesterday was a little blah due to the assumption that I was going to receive fresh cut fries with my burger I ordered but it wasn't until after the fact that I asked the waitress what's up and she was advised that she was just advised that the Cook or Chef were serving the happy hour fries during Restaurant Week such a bummer. If this was known before ordering I would have not ordered this. I ordered off the regular menu but received happy hour fries instead of fresh cut fries definitely no comparison so this definitely had a brow raised for me. Oh well, my Bestest, this was her first time dining in last night and she had a good time. She ate all her food as she participated in ordering off the Restaurant Week menu and also had two white Cosmos. She definitely enjoyed everything! Our waitress Bailey was awesome as well Cute girl! Nice nails! Very mannerable, a pleasure to have as our waitress! Parking wasn't an issue however we did drive around a few minutes to look for parking. I loved my the fresh margarita! I ordered 2. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Decoys, along with River Stone Chophouse and Vintage Tavern, is more of an upscale dining-in experience than your generic chain restaurants are. We're local so we try to time our visits to Decoys when it's less busy, but even when they're hopping the service has always been punctual & professional. The menu offers something for everyone, but is not overwhelming; the focus is on quality dishes. As the name suggests, seafood is the main theme. We particularly enjoy the cheese curds and fish-N-chips, but pretty much anything you get here will be good.

I went with high expectations, keeping in mind that high expectations are hard to meet. I would…read morehave settled for mediocre and left this establishment feeling 'okay' about the time and money spent to be there, but that was still too lofty of a goal based on my experience. Let's get started... Valet service was the only good thing here...although they really need to figure out which way we're 'coming or going'...but at least they hustled. Once seated, our server eventually greeted us and she was very nice...but after that initial order, we had to 'gain attention' to get things (e.g. straws, more water, food orders, etc.). Granted, it was a 'busy' evening, but not so busy that you can't attend to your tables...especially at this price point. There was also a point, when we had decided that this place wasn't for us and wanted to GTFO, we asked another server to take the stack of plates that we had already cleared and cleaned (because that's what people who have worked in restaurants do)...she said "no" and walked away. 1 star for service. When we received our food, I was extremely disappointed. The quality was 'meh'... this is not at the fault of any employees...I would blame it on management, because if this is what you're dishing out and charging for, you should care about the quality of the food. Zero stars for the food. The drinks were 'okay'...at least the first round. When you have a limited cocktail menu, and the main item is something containing watermelon juice...you'd keep that 'in stock', right? Our first round took a loooooong time because they had to 'make more' watermelon juice. That was a red flag. The second round was served in a totally different cup (the first was in an actual 'signature drink' glass, the second was in a standard water glass) and tasted gross. We also had no water refills. 1 star for drinks. To add insult to injury, the cost of the food, convenience fee (which makes no sense because people use credit cards all the time, especially when you are spending a significant amount of money), AND added gratuity for 'large parties' (we were a party of 2 families, 4 adults and 4 kids), it felt like we were preemptively charged money before service. Nobody likes to be 'okie-doked'. When the service is sub-par and the food is bad, we still pay and tip...albeit begrudgingly. When you are 'forced' to pay MORE to 'receive' the above, it hits worse. I've never written a negative review, but this was significant enough to do so. Beautiful location with a lot of potential...but I will never return to this establishment.

We ordered through DoorDash from this Suffolk location and spent over $90 on it…read more It was our first time ever trying this restaurant and we were completely disappointed. My brother and I ordered: 20 pc. Grilled shrimp & fries x2 Chicken Sandwhiches x1 Catfish Sandwich x1 Catfish & Shrimp Po Boy x1 order of Hushpuppies -- the total on the receipt came up to $49 and some change but through DoorDash went up to $90; which was definitely not worth it. The packaging btw was horrible, so I would not recommend take out really. They were all stacked and smushed on top of each other, hushpuppies were scattered throughout the bag and even the brown paper bag holding it all in was soggy and torn. The styrofoam container was dented in and there were no sauces that we asked for; as a whole did not seem $90 worth, not even close to $35. The chicken was extremely dry and overcooked (should be expected, ordering from a shrimp place) but still, Chick-Fil-A would've been better. Definitely tasted like something that could be made at home but not as good. One chicken sandwich, we just threw away the bread and cut it into nuggets to dip in a sauce because of how dry it was. The grilled shrimp was just basic salt and pepper. It was ok but again, something I could buy a whole bunch of at the grocery store and execute it better. The fries that came with it were plain but they offered packets of salt and pepper so that was good. The po boy was disappointing, at most places they come with like coleslaw or veggies inside of it but here you have to add an additional charge to get a "deluxe" to get that. It was the only item to come with some sort of sauce on it but it was quickly dried into the fish and shrimp. Catfish sandwich was never touched. I heard the Portsmouth location is better but we will not be returning or at least willing to spend at Skrimp Shack again.
