I was able to sample a bunch of pretzels from the full-size rivet party tray. I have been to other locations before, so I knew what to expect. I know the order was placed online to be picked up and the staff was friendly enough to replace one of the dips upon arrival. The dips I had this time around were the cheddar cheese and spicy mustard. There were no complaints regarding those, a nice added feature. I work in New York City, so every day I see pretzels at Hot Dog stands and in Port Authority Bus Terminal at snack stands. However, I had no idea that not too far from me in Jersey was a store completely dedicated to pretzels! The concept here is simple: tasty pretzels with some type of outer coating or sauce for flavor. They make individual servings of pretzels or gigantic platters of small pretzels with an array of dipping sauces, mostly focused on mustards. The store front is quite small, with only a small area to walk in and order while most of the facility is dedicated to the baking process. It was fun watching trays of pretzels being prepared for the oven and then others getting piled up to form a party platter. I wondered if anyone would ever get them, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a couple preorders being picked up in the time I was there. I picked up a cinnamon sugar pretzel and it was really nice. The outside had a nice crust while the inside was chewy. The cinnamon sugar was balanced nicely, allowing it to be sweet and have some spice all at the same time. I would definitely consider getting one of these platters for a get together some day, and I'm interested in going back to try some of their other pretzel offerings. When I stopped by for a quick snack of pretzels, I found them cold and unappetizing. I got the rivets and a cinnamon sugar pretzel. They were both semi-warm and by the time I got home (10 min away) they were cold. I understand they can't always make freshly baked pretzels but it really didn't taste good when cold and it got hard so difficult to eat. The one great thing is if you want to do a fund raiser. The owner will give you a great price for a bulk order. also the bonus is that the pretzels are HOT and SO YUMMY! When they are freshly baked they are heavenly. I've had the pretzels here before & I DO like them, but I went today (12/29/22) and the cashier had gloves on to take my money. WITHOUT CHANGING THE GLOVES, she then proceeded to pick up the pretzels with same gloves. Well I have to say quite honestly I was shocked at who I saw in this fine cuisine. A young blonde man who might've grown during the quarantine. Still dashing. I am blessed to have seen him here. It was a moment like no other. Not only were his eyes dazzling as he noticed the freshly butter glazed pretzels, but he was singing something. Something familiar. Something I know. My way. Song by the one and only frank Sinatra. Well that was a shock. How could he have possibly known my favorite artist? I give props to the Philly Pretzel Factory. Good music, good customers, and that is something to be proud of. Overall, I will be back to hopefully see this man again. The way he beams is enlightening and makes my heart skip a few beats. I recently made a purchase & handed the service person a gift card. She told me she doesn't think it will work because they haven't "upgraded" their system yet to read gift cards?? Knowing this for some reason she still tried to swipe it a couple of times? I still accepted & paid for the order. When I contacted the corporate office I was told that all the locations should be able to accept gift cards but this one hadn't been done yet. Because the corp office sent me a paper gift certificate to make up for what I had to pay out of pocket I only reduced the rating by 1 star but keep this in mind if you have a gift card you may want to call this location first to see if they can accept it yet. read more

Ok so I note that this is the most popular pretzel place in town and I'm nothing but suspicious . I've known about this for years and it's no secret . A lot of the moms bring this to the parties which I'm sure my invite was lost in the mail. It's hurting mentally inside so I decided to do something about this eerie feeling. I wanted to try it for myself since nobody likes me enough to let me come over to their buffets. Isn't it funny how it's always the people you least except? Well I was sad enough... I ordered the cheesy pretzel dog from this quite charming young worker. He is the spitting image of my father and we laughed over the news or something old fashioned. I invited him over to a dinner party because he noticed that I was upset and he prefers an older crowd of adults. He suggested I host a party to avoid feeling nauseously left out. We both had serious FOMO and bonded over it . Cant believe he is going to bring some free pretzels and entertainment for my classily crowd. His only request was a $5 tip, some decaf coffee, and a jazz band. I hope he sings it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. Philly Pretzels may taste the same in all of its franchisees but this one in Westfield stands out for its customer service. After purchasing, the manager (or owner) makes sure the customer is satisfied. He offered us 2 free pretzels after we bought only 3. He said its the special that day. Pretzels are OK. Employees are ridiculous. Who owns this place? When we walked in, the young man behind the counter was just staring at us without saying anything. His whole demeanor was "I am to good for this". He was purposely very slow and created the long line of customers. He gives me my order without any souses that included. I ask him for cheese dip and he start moving even slower expressing how annoyed he was. Then a lady comes from the back room screaming on the top of her lungs, in Spanish, on cell phone. The garments had already enjoyed his birthday pretzels. He was bummed. I bring philly pretzels with me when I fly to Texas. He just loves them.
