Dairy Queens run the gamut from huge (here) to Mom and Pop walk-ups. As most are franchised, quality and portion sizes can also run the gamut from generous to granular. This location is certainly on the right side of the line. My usual poison at DQ is a cherry dipped vanilla cone which was fantastic and a taste of my youth that hardly ever disappoints as you have to consume the red behemoth before the temperature turns it into a melted Rorschach test. Not a large selection of hot food in this location only hot dogs and pretzels. We got the choco dipped strawberry blizzard it was excellent. We were too afraid to turn it upside down but it is thick. This was my first time visiting dairy queen and it will not be my last. I've heard of this spot a few times and they're known for their blizzards. It's a thick, creamy milkshake. If it spills when you flip it upside down, the employee will make you a new one! I tried the vanilla ice cream cone with cherry dip and my cousin got a large strawberry sundae. They were both super creamy and well worth the visit to Jersey. We will be back for some blizzards. read more

The older man that owns this business ,has a big framed picture of himself hanging on the wall in a jogging suit which is outrageous funny. My favorite is the Reese's peanut butter cup blizzard. I get the same every time . The employees are very friendly and easy to deal with . My favorite reason to come to this location is that they give you a lot of ice cream in your order when the regular employees make it NOT the trainees. I was never an ice cream person but once you have kids your life changes. LOL!! I visited this DQ for the first time since moving to the area. I went online to see what food options there were. I was so excited to try the cheese curds. We get there to find out they do not carry a lot of food items and are mainly an ice creamery. We then get ice cream cones. One with sprinkles, one without. It took close to 10 minutes before we received our order. There were 3 teens working 1 girl on the register and 1 girl completing orders. The boy was making blizzards but he wasn't handing them out to the ppl waiting. He kept putting them in the back. Overall the space is clean and spacious. Came in for a little ice cream for dessert after dinner. We come to this location a lot. It is very clean and there is a nice sitting area to eat the ice cream that plays kids TV and movies. There is also a lot of tables to sit outside. The employees are very courteous and fast. A well set up ice cream spot. Has a parking lot with decent parking. Has a seating section on the inside, but you could also hang outside if it's nice out. There's not much seating outside, but you can always stand. As for the main attraction, the ice cream is what you would expect from DQ. Yummy soft serve with topping options and the famous hard shell. They also have a freezer where you can take home ice cream bars or a cake. Beware if you want to take this ice cream home - this soft serve melts QUICKLY. Kinda a treat you just need to enjoy there. Surely a stop on your summer ice cream list. read more

Listen, you NEED to love this place. Owned and operated by the same family since I was a kid...I used to go for soft serve and later blizzards with my dad all the time, and we'd always see the same couple (who own the joint) there, day in and day out. Nowadays, unfortunately, while the family feel is still there, and still present thanks to the photos on the wall, it's almost entirely manned by teenagers who may or may not know what they're doing, without much oversight by the bosses. They're still very friendly, and I haven't had anything I'd call a "bad" experience, I've certainly had the intended quick in and out for ice cream take much MUCH longer than it should have...or had my party of 3 all get their icecream several minutes apart because of confusion etc. Just....not that well run, really. I still have them a four star review because the ice cream is still as good as it ever was and, if nothing else, the nostalgia is worth the extra star. read more

I came for the pecan pie Blizzard that's been advertised as of late. I ordered one with twist ice cream. When the Blizzard was ready (after about a 10 minute wait with about 7 or 8 people working) some of it spilled out during the signature flip it upside down and nothing should fall out. I initially said eh no big deal, but upon it being handed to me if was like soup. So I asked for it to be remade. The remade Blizzard was only slightly less soupy. While it was somewhat busy, I've been to Dairy Queens far busier with less people working and have never had an issue. Oh and to top it all off both times it came out with vanilla ice cream. I had such a wonderful lunch there today. We had one of the $5 lunch specials each. Chili dog, chips, drink and a sundae.. Awesome deal for the price! The best part was meeting one of the owners today. Donna was so welcoming. This did not feel like a regular chain store experience. She made us feel so welcomed and already a part of the family. We received attentive and courteous service from the employees. After we are, she toured us around. Brought us over to the Coffee Box which connects through the store. After being introduced the owner Jeff I got to try their amazing coffee. I just loved the hospitality and I can tell this will be a place we will frequent often. The owner was friendly and initiated talking to us to tell us about his cakes There is plenty of seating inside and outside with ample parking in their lot. (Clean tables!) This has been a go to spot for us. I have noticed a difference since I first started going to this location. Last night I was in the mood for ice cream. The line was outside the store but it's understandable since the weather was nice. Everyone behind the counter was working extra hard even a man not in uniform (I'm assuming it's the owner or manager). It was a mess! I waited for my order and got all five of my ice creams at different times by the time I got a small sundae my family was almost finished with their ice cream. The ice cream cone was a joke it wasn't the usual picture perfect look. It was one drop of vanilla with sprinkles. My eight year old asked for a second cone. The banana split comes in a smaller container not the usual boat container which makes the split smaller. The ice cream sundae were nothing to brag about since I could count the strawberries in my cup. The Oreo blizzard was okay and the other ice cream twist in a cup was the same as the sundae. I regretted Stopping for a treat and leaving $27 later and feeling disappointed. It makes me rethink going back this summer.
