However, the sandwich itself was smaller than I expected. So, I guess the price checks out? The biggest let down was definitely the amount of meat (or lack of) that we got. I've never gotten such a skinny sandwich at a deli before. My Caesar sandwich was all bread, a bit of turkey, and a tiny bit of cheese and dressing. The lettuce pieces I got were mostly the weird stem parts instead of the romaine leaves. We also got an Italian sandwich. I've never seen an Italian sandwich with such little cold cuts on it. Just look at the picture. Positives: the cashier was pretty nice. also, the ciabatta bread was very soft but crunchy. They have a patio outside with shade that was nice to sit on.

When I got there after 20 minutes, my takeout order was waiting on the shelf for me. The sandwich did not disappoint! It was delicious! I ordered the vegan tofu bahn mi on 9/21 and when setting down my sandwich after a bite, I noticed something sparkly and bright. The ribs were decent--I'd give them a solid B-. I'd order those again (but I wouldn't actually come back). The chicken was surprisingly good too, especially for the price (I'd maybe do the chicken if I was in the area and hungry). The biggest disappointment was the takeout. We actually wanted to eat at the restaurant but the service was a disaster. We awkwardly stood there for about 10 minutes before we could order. And it was until we said we would just leave since you guys obviously can't attend to the three tables in your restaurant. It was very poorly executed and left a lot to be desired. Kinders is a prime example of why I usually avoid chain and brand-name BBQ restaurants. They often rely on the name more than the food, and unfortunately this visit lived up to that stereotype. Ultimately food was below average, over priced service was weak, and the ambiance was vanilla. Save your money it is not worth it

I…read moreread to order ahead because they take a while to prep sandwiches, so I ordered online about 30/40 minutes ahead of arrival. We ordered the Lucia's Club BCE breakfast sandwich. Upon arrival, the restaurant is very cute with nice decor & really cool inside. We arrived at the time our sandwiches should've been ready, but we still had to wait 15 minutes. (The restaurant only had us in there & one group walked in after.) we weren't in a rush so we didn't really mind, but be mindful of the long waits if you're on a time crunch. When we finally got our sandwiches, we took them to go & the Lucia's Club was delicious! It was packed with a lot of meat & flavor, a good bite on to grab on the way home. The BCE was just alright, a little too dry for my taste. However, I'd still come back to try more of their signature sandwiches because the club did NOT disappoint!

I have to share a story about a horrible experience with Sweet Affair Bakery in Walnut Creek to…read morewarn others not to order cakes from here, especially online. I ordered a cake online and never got the cake or a refund. I placed an order for a birthday cake through the Sweet Affair website. I received a confirmation that says Sweet Affair and the phone number of Sweet Affair is listed as the contact for questions and concerns...My card was charged under "Sweet Affair Bakery". The day of our party, with a house full of guests, no cake arrived... I called and was told my order was through DoorDash, who manages their online order, and it was a DoorDash "Wifi error," and I needed to call DoorDash. There was no apology or accountability, only blame on DoorDash. The person I spoke to was so rude and spoke to me in a condescending tone. There was an offer to give me a different cake, even though- quote "we can't even prove you paid". When I click on "Track My Order" in the email confirmation I received, it takes me to DoorDash; however, when I click "Help," it says to call Sweet Affair Bakery. So, I decided to email Sweet Affair, since calling did me no good, and I got an auto-reply saying, "We don't respond to emails." I am going in circles with no one willing to help me at the bakery. I need my refund.

Apparently one employee is working, no managers to give refunds, and his order should have been ready by 2:20 and he's been waiting in the restaurant for over an hour. There's no excuse for service like this, and I find it hard to believe that there's no one for this lone employee to call. At this point my husband won't leave until he gets his food since they won't offer any refunds. Never had amazing service here, and don't generally like to come to this restaurant, but today we did and we won't be returning. If you can't fulfill orders in a decent amount of time and can't offer people vouchers or fix the problem, you shouldn't be in service. The "business manager" has responded to my review and several other reviews saying they're well known for their service and food and yet this magically doesn't correct the problems this location is having and it doesn't fix the problem. Manager never directly reached out, just basically said "hope you'll try us again," but that's not going to happen. I've never really felt the need to write a one star review like this but it just seems like lazy management and unwillingness to take ownership in the problems that customers are experiencing here rather frequently.
