The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Overall: great food, great beer, quick service, fun atmosphere, and apparently life-changing shrimp tacos. If you're in the area, put Lost Coast Brewery on your list. I don't normally photo food but wish I did. My wife goes bun-less and they served the dish on a bed of spinach (which she requested and they had to dig for it). To do all that as the kitchen is closing says something. They could have just thrown it on top. I am completely stealing that one. I love amber ale and they make a good one. I hope we can squeeze one last visit in before we leave.

Would not recommend this place unless you feel like wasting money. Ever since the old management left, the prices have gone up and the quality of food has gone down. The tables are usually never wiped down and I've seen flies in there. Before that I tried getting a delivery but they don't deliver on Sunday for some reason, and when I called later that week they said it would take an hour minimum to deliver anything, and when they did it was cold and soggy. there's also a picture of Bill Cosby up on the wall that the manager refuses to take down even though I know people who have complained about it before. It's just disappointing to me because I loved this place a year ago, but it seems to have changed a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if this new manager ends up running the place into the ground. Hopefully they realize soon that the quality of food is a lot more important than the quantity of money they greedily put into their pockets. read more

Was going to get (2) 12 inch BMT's at Subway for me and the woman ..Instead went to try a steak sandwich at this place..Big Mistake..Got a real small Steak with a lot of fat For like $10 the same price as the Subway for (2) 12 inch Hoagies..There was hardly enough sandwich for one let alone two. Well about an hour or two after eating the sandwich I got sick as hell..Vomited up the fatty steak..Wow sandwich and getting sick all for the same price as the Subway stuff..Never again. This is my favorite place in humboldt. Food is delicious and staff is always super nice. I came in last night and the two young ladies working were laughing and singing to the music while they cooked. I get a double meet double cheese and its always amazing. This is a fast food joint but they always walk the food out to me. Super cool. Not the same as Jim's but just as tasty and i like the staffs attitude better here. Highly recommend! read more
