If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.

It has been almost two years since I was there, but others in my group go often as it's close to their home. It's about 45 minutes from the house for me, but we set out in afternoon Atlanta traffic and made it there in about 55 minutes. It was worth the drive. We love a classic Chicago dog! The onion rings were good too, just served warm. I thought they were making them fresh since the front counter girl yelled back that she needed three orders of onion rings. The service was ok...just like any other fast food restaurant these days. We really don't expect great service from the front counter workers anymore and Skip's was no different. (I will rave on my reviews when I do get great customer service.) We had a group of seven so we had to eat outside as the biggest table inside only seats four and we didn't want to sit separately. It was a cool evening, but was about the same temperature inside the restaurant. All in all, we will be back one day when we feel like taking a drive.

When the…read moresignage outside is a knock-off of the former Philly Connection sign with what looks like a sheet over one word, how much quality can you expect?? Regardless, I threw caution to the wind and yielded to the desires of the group I was with and gave it a try. Just for giggles, I walked in and asked the guy behind the counter what the best thing on the menu was. I knew I was in trouble when he started going down the ENTIRE menu saying the same thing over and over.."we use only top grade sirloin..." and "we only use boneless chicken breast..." It should be noted that we were the ONLY customers in the store and the crew looked thoroughly bored. Hmmm, I wonder why....? Despite all that, I gathered the nerve to order a concoction called a Pizza Cheesesteak (why, I have no idea). And even made it a Combo so I could get the greasy fries and flat soda that comes with it! If I'm going to bomb, lets do it in a big way, shall we? My friends tried the chicken cheesesteak. Needless to say, the sandwiches were as bad as the cheesy sign on top of the building! They even have the nerve to have a menu item called "The Traditional" I don't think so!!

I figured that I'd give this place a try after passing it by so many times. The place was empty (bad sign especially during lunch time), but I went ahead and ordered a large "traditional" cheesesteak for $7.59 (after tax). The bread was cold, and outside of some caramelized onions and the white cheese, there wasn't much to go with the 'steak' in the sandwich. It tasted ok...but very heavy...and my stomach didn't feel so good. Right after I got back to work, I had to go....sit on the porcelain throne. No liquid...but wasn't pretty. I would've given this place a preliminary 3 to be nice....but 2.5, there you go. I'm surprised this place stays in business.

The fries didn't have any seasoning at all and the wings had a very funny taste. We also realized that some were overcooked while others were undercooked. The price of wings in the last 6 years is ridiculous. Buyer beware!

Visited this American Deli recently and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences had…read morein a long time. From the food to the cleanliness to the customer service, almost every part of the visit felt like a letdown. The main reason for going was the wings, but they had an odd, almost spoiled taste that immediately raised concerns about freshness and food safety. The texture and flavor were off enough that finishing the order did not feel comfortable, which is unacceptable for something as simple and popular as chicken wings. The sides did nothing to make up for it, and overall the food felt low quality and poorly handled. The condition of the store made the experience even worse. The space is very small and felt cramped, with visible dirt and clutter that made it hard to relax or enjoy the meal. Tables and floors did not look like they had been cleaned properly, and the overall atmosphere came across as neglected rather than casual. Customer service was another major issue. The cashier was very unprofessional, acting as if taking the order was an inconvenience instead of a basic part of the job. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and questions about the menu were answered with attitude instead of help. That kind of energy sets the tone for the entire visit, and not in a good way.It is understood that not every visit will be perfect and that restaurants can have off days, but this experience raised serious concerns about both cleanliness and basic standards of service. At this point, there is no interest in returning to this location, and it would not be recommended to anyone else until there are clear improvements in food quality, sanitation, and staff professionalism.
