This is one of those companies that I sincerely wish there was an option to give MORE than 5 stars…read more They really are that fantastic. My neighbor hired them and we were lucky enough to be there and witness Carlos and his crew first-hand. We watched as Carlos discussed with my neighbors where he thought would be best to cut to keep the tree healthy, what needed to go, what shouldn't be touched at all. He is truly in the camp of "less is more" and was extremely thorough about discussing, checking, and rechecking before actually making cuts. Then he also pointed out where poison ivy had been growing along the tree and discussed options of how to actually get rid of it for good (seriously, I was there for maybe 5 minutes and learned so much---this is a skilled arborist company, they really know their stuff!). Then my family and I moved to a new house that had numerous trees that needed a little TLC---some branches that were too close to the roof, some trees that just needed the dead cleared away, etc. Again, Carlos and his crew arrived on scene in a timely manner, then proceeded to walk the entire property and mark all places they thought would be best to cut (while ultimately deferring to my husband & I on if that was what WE wanted). After everything was marked, the crew got to work while Carlos supervised the entire time. He brought us out again after the cuts were all made, and then again for a final walk-through to make sure that we were satisfied with all of the clean-up. Our trees are now all happy, healthy and not in danger of hitting our roof (hooray!). We even have a plan in place on what trees to watch for and monitor, and what trees are fine as-is. Seriously, so impressed. We will be using Discount Tree & Land Services for many years to come!

I contacted a local company to get an estimate. In walked Matt Burgess. He impressed me so much I didn't have to think twice about hiring that company, including Matt! Fast forward to August 2025. My trees had taken off but were still under stress and once again needed attention. I found Matt's business card which I had saved from 2022. I looked him up on Google and found Matt had his own business, Tree Service and Consulting! I called him and he came out and we did the tour of the trees. Six days later Matt and his crew showed up on time and were ready to go. I couldn't believe how happy and majestic my trees looked when the crew completed the trimming of the trees. The crew spread Organic Compost around all the trees. Matt set up the Propizol Micro Trunk Injections on all 13 of my Oaks. Matt will be back to take pictures of them in 60 to 90 days as there will be evidence of improvement in the health of my trees. Matt has the experience, knowledge, expertise, determination and respect for all trees. He is an outstanding Arborist. I can honestly say you can't go wrong trusting Matt Burgess with all your tree needs.
